The rain had stopped completely.
But Maya and Arjun didn't leave.
It felt like if they walked away now, something important might be lost again.
"Do you come here every day?" Maya asked.
Arjun smiled lightly.
"I used to," he said. "Then I stopped… until today."
Maya nodded slowly.
"Can we meet again?" she asked, almost shyly.
Arjun looked at her, a quiet happiness in his eyes.
"I was hoping you'd ask that."
The Next Day
The sky was clear this time.
No rain.
Maya stood at the bus stop, holding her notebook.
She looked around, a little nervous.
"What if he doesn't come?" she thought.
Just as she turned to leave—
"Leaving already?"
Maya turned quickly.
Arjun stood there, smiling.
"You're late," Maya said without thinking.
Arjun raised an eyebrow playfully.
"Oh? Since when do strangers wait for each other?"
Maya paused… then smiled.
"Since yesterday."
They began meeting every day.
Sometimes it rained.
Sometimes it didn't.
But something was growing between them again.
One afternoon, Maya was writing while Arjun sat beside her.
"What are you writing?" he asked.
Maya didn't look up.
"A new story," she said.
"About what?" Arjun asked.
Maya hesitated.
Then she said softly—
"About a girl who forgot someone important…"
Arjun's smile faded just a little.
"…and is slowly falling in love with him again."
Arjun looked at her, surprised.
"Is it a happy story?" he asked.
Maya finally looked up.
"I don't know yet," she said.
"I'm still writing it."
That evening, as Maya walked home, something strange happened.
A sudden flash.
Rain.
A voice.
"Don't go!"
Maya stopped walking.
Her head hurt.
She held it tightly.
"Arjun…" she whispered without realizing.
Her eyes widened.
"Why did I say that?"
Meanwhile…
Arjun stood alone at the bus stop.
His expression was no longer light or playful.
He looked worried.
"She's starting to remember," he said to himself.
Then he whispered something softly—
"Please don't let it hurt her again…"
