Chapter 11 - “Memories in the Silence”

Since it was already past midnight, they returned home separately. The streets were quiet, yet their hearts were louder than ever. One by one, they stepped into their rooms, closing the doors behind them, but sleep refused to come.

Emma lay on her bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. Her eyes were red from crying, and tears continued to fall silently down her cheeks. Every memory of the laughter they once shared replayed in her mind like a film she could not stop.

Ella sat quietly beside her window, watching the dark sky outside. The moonlight fell softly across her face as she hugged her knees, trying to comfort herself. She kept remembering the moments when the three of them would stay up late talking, laughing, and promising that nothing would ever break their friendship.

In another place, Elia turned restlessly in her bed. No matter how hard she tried, she could not escape the painful thoughts filling her mind. Her chest felt heavy, as if the memories themselves were weighing her down. She wiped away her tears again and again, but they kept coming.

Though they were miles apart that night, their hearts were connected by the same pain. Emma, Ella, and Elia were all thinking about the bond they once shared — a friendship that had once felt unbreakable, a bond that had survived countless memories, laughter, and dreams.

Yet now, in the quiet darkness of the night, all three of them cried alone, wondering how something so precious could suddenly feel so distant.
