Evy sat by the window biting her lips. She had been sitting by it for hours now waiting for prince Nathan to show up like he had promised.
He said he would come in the night, and it's already so late at night already that one could barely see what is going on out there.
Father had already left the house to the palace and Evy was pretty sure he would not be back anytime soon. And her mother was busy with her newborn to really care about her which for the first time Evy was grateful for.
Prince Nathan had always been the one that took really good care of her. Father is always busy in the palace, mother with her baby and Evy was always in the training yard practicing.
He had always been the one that truly cared for her. And over the years, Evy had come to like him even more than her family. And a big part of her wished for something between them even when she knew he would reject her right on that spot if she dared confess her feelings to him.
