Chapter 13 - Volume 12: The Shattered Dawn

Chapter 1: The Omens of the Void

The weather within the Lover's Sanctuary had always been a reflection of the Sovereigns' hearts—eternal spring and golden sunlight. But on this day, the sky bled a deep, bruised purple. The air grew heavy, smelling of ozone and ancient dust. The Great Mountain, the anchor of the Sanctuary, trembled as a series of thunderous cracks echoed from the sky.

The barrier gifted by the Will of Space remained unbroken, its crystalline surface shimmering with divine protection. However, outside that barrier, five monstrous figures stood, their presence so heavy they crushed the surrounding space into fragments. These were the Forbidden Origin villains. They realized the barrier was impenetrable even to them, so they turned their gaze toward the countless minor universes teeming with trillions of lives under Tiān Yuán's protection.

"Come out, Little Sovereign!" the lead villain roared, his voice vibrating through the dimensions. "Stay inside your cage, and we will turn every star in your Multiverse into a tomb. Every soul you swore to protect will scream for mercy until there is nothing left but ash."

Chapter 2: The Final Embrace

Inside the Sanctuary, Tiān Yuán stood in the silent nursery, looking at Mo Yue and their newborn son, Tiān Chuàng. The child was floating gently in a cradle of pure energy. Tiān Yuán knew he couldn't stay. To let the Multiverse burn would be to fail as a Sovereign.

With a heavy heart, he stepped toward Mo Yue. Before she could protest, he tapped her forehead, casting a Supreme Absolute Barrier around her and the child. "Stay here," he whispered, his voice cracking with a rare emotion. "The Will of Space protects this land, and my barrier protects you. Do not come out, no matter what you see."

Mo Yue's eyes filled with terror, her hands pressing against the invisible wall he had created. Tiān Yuán took one last look at his family, then turned and stepped through the sky, exiting the Sanctuary to face the five monsters alone.

Chapter 3: The Dance of Destruction

The moment Tiān Yuán crossed the barrier, the battlefield ignited. Because he possessed the bloodlines of Elves, Dragons, Gods, Phoenixes, and Demons, his versatility was unmatched. He moved like a ghost, his sword strokes cutting through the laws of physics.

In the beginning, he held the upper hand. He used Dragon-God Roars to paralyze their senses and Phoenix-Fire to burn their ethereal forms. The five villains were pushed back, stunned by the sheer depth of his power. However, realizing they couldn't win individually, the villains linked their souls, forming a Forbidden Pentagram Array. Their combined power surged, creating a pressure that began to crack Tiān Yuán's internal world.

Tiān Yuán, bleeding from his eyes but his spirit undeterred, began weaving a complex counter-plan. He baited them, drawing them into a specific coordinate of the Void where the laws of reality were thinnest. He was winning the tactical war, preparing to strike a decisive blow.

Chapter 4: The Treacherous Strike

As Tiān Yuán prepared his ultimate offensive move, the air behind him rippled. One of the villains had hidden a shadow-clone in the fabric of the Void hours before the fight began. Just as Tiān Yuán unleashed his energy, a spear of Condensed Void-Rot pierced through his back, exiting through his chest.

The pain was unimaginable. The rot began to eat his divine bloodlines. He couldn't dodge; he was trapped in his own momentum. The villains laughed, sensing his weakening life force. They rushed in to finish him, thinking the Sovereign had finally fallen. But they underestimated the resolve of a father and a husband.

"You think a hole in my chest is enough to stop me?" Tiān Yuán growled, his blood glowing with golden and black light.

Chapter 5: The Ultimate Sacrifice: Recycle of Birth and Death

Tiān Yuán felt his life force fading. He looked back at the Sanctuary one last time. He knew what he had to do. He activated the forbidden forbidden-art: The Recycle of Birth and Death.

This skill was a double-edged sword. It used the user's entire existence—past, present, and future—as a fuel source to create a localized "Big Bang" of erasure. As he chanted the ancient runes, his body began to dissolve into white light.

"Everything returns to the Void," he declared.

A massive explosion of transcendental energy erupted. The shockwave was so powerful it felt as if the entire Multiverse had skipped a heartbeat. Three of the villains were caught at the center; their bodies and souls were deleted instantly, leaving not even a memory behind. The remaining two villains were caught in the outer blast. Their limbs were vaporized, and their internal cores were shattered. The destruction was so absolute that even their regenerative powers were neutralized.

Bleeding and broken, the two surviving villains used the last of their strength to tear a crack in space and fled into the deepest parts of the Outer Void. They would not be seen again for decades; they would need at least 20 years of agonizing recovery just to walk again.

Chapter 6: The Falling Star and the Silent Hint

As the light faded, Tiān Yuán's body was gone. To the eyes of the servants and the surviving gods of the Multiverse, the Sovereign had perished. However, for a split second, a tiny, microscopic spark of Azure Light flickered near the site of the explosion before vanishing into the cracks of time. Only someone at the Nirvana Primordium (Level 6) could have possibly sensed it.

Inside the Sanctuary, the barrier around Mo Yue shattered the moment Tiān Yuán's heart stopped. She saw the explosion and felt the sudden, agonizing emptiness in her soul. The shock was too much; her world turned black, and she collapsed into unconsciousness.

Chapter 7: The Aftermath of a Legend

The servants rushed to the balcony, catching Mo Yue before she hit the ground. They looked up at the empty sky, where only a few drifting particles of starlight remained. The "Hero" was gone.

They carried the unconscious Mo Yue back into the palace. Tiān Chuàng, the newborn son, remained floating in the nursery, his tiny hands reaching out for a father who wasn't there. When Mo Yue finally woke up hours later, the silence of the palace told her everything. She tried to scream, but no sound came out. The trauma caused her to drift in and out of consciousness for days.

The servants worked tirelessly to care for the child and the grieving Empress. Outside, the Multiverse began to forget. The survivors write history, and as the years passed, the name "Tiān Yuán" faded into legend, then into myth. But Mo Yue, in her brief moments of clarity, would look at the sky and touch her heart. She didn't have proof, but she refused to believe the Sovereign of All Origins could be truly extinguished.
