Chapter 1: An Audience with Ants
After revealing the truth that shattered Gu Chen's composure, I didn't stick around. I left his estate and headed straight for his favourite haunt, waiting patiently for an hour.
Exactly sixty minutes later, the air grew heavy. Gu Chen arrived, flanked by his "Heavenly Army." 100,000 soldiers, all at the Peak Dao Seeking Realm, stood behind him like a wall of steel.
I looked at them, then at him, and smiled.
"If you want to kill me, do it quickly," I said, my voice cutting through the silence. "Otherwise, I'll kill you first."
Gu Chen was stunned, but he soon erupted into arrogant laughter. "Do you see who is behind me, Long Wei?"
I laughed back. "Little ants. 100,000 of them, all at the Peak Dao Seeking Realm. How amusing."
Before the laughter could even die in his throat, I moved. In a display of speed that defied the laws of the realm, I tore through them. One by one, or perhaps hundreds at a time, they fell. Within seconds, the "Heavenly Army" was nothing but silence and dust.
I stood before a trembling Gu Chen. "If you think you're the protagonist, then tell me... what does that make me?" I leaned in, my voice icy. "I know everything about you, Gu Chen. If you want to live, you will do exactly as I say. Don't test me—I'll kill you before you can even beg."
Chapter 2: A Message to the Sovereign
I didn't stop there. I warned him about his father—the so-called Heavenly Lord. While he rules this world, he is only at the Middle Primordial Origin Realm. Compared to what I am becoming, he is nothing.
"Tell your father that his end is near," I commanded. "And warn him: if he tries to disturb me, I will erase your entire bloodline. Not a single descendant will remain."
I grabbed Gu Chen by the collar and hurled him like a piece of trash toward his father's palace. When his father, the Heavenly Lord, rushed to his side to find his son broken and shivering, the fury was palpable.
"Who did this?" the Lord roared.
Gu Chen managed only a ragged whisper: "I want to kill him..." before falling unconscious. The next day, the entire empire heard the story—and the fear began to spread.
Chapter 3: The Marriage Trap
After the chaos, I returned home and collapsed into my bed. I needed rest, but peace is a luxury for the powerful. A servant woke me: my parents, Long Fang and Long Mei, were demanding my presence in the main hall.
When I arrived, I found my father hosting his two closest allies: Li Wei and Han Wu.
"Long Wei," my father said, ignoring my protests. "You are getting married."
They didn't even let me speak. They shoved stacks of photos into my hands—daughters of every wealthy, influential family in the land. "There is a party tomorrow. We have invited the elite. You will choose a daughter-in-law, and that is final."
I merely nodded, masking my thoughts. "As you wish."
I walked out of the hall and headed to my sanctuary—a secluded mountain peak a few kilometres away. It overlooks a vast, untamed forest, and at night, it is the only place in this world that feels quiet. As I looked up at the stars, I couldn't help but wonder: how long until the rest of this world realises that the Villain has already won?
