Chapter 45 - chapter 38: The second person

{Year 2018, april 23rd, evening: 4:43 PM.}

The three middle aged men running from an alley.

Covered in blood and wounds like a wild animal ate them half way.

Behind them.

A 12 year old boy.

Bathed in blood from head to toe dragged two grown men by the collar.

The man on his right grip was headless.

And the man on his left grip had a hole on his chest.

The men running away from him turned their gazes to look behind but one of them stumbled and fell down.

The other two stopped to pick him up.

Tears running down their cheeks and blood flowing out of their wounds as they skidded forward while dragging their fallen friend.

The boy raised his head.

His whole face covered in blood which made it hard for anyone to recognize him.

He dropped the bodies and lunged forward.

He picked up a beer bottle from the trash can and slammed on the head of the man holding the one on the ground.

And—

Once the bottle broke.

He stabbed it into the throat of the man on the ground.

He lifted his hand and grabbed the man whose head he hit with that bottle.

Stabbing his hand wrist deep into his gut.

They both fell lifeless.

The third man fell onto his butt and trembled from fear.

Man:"P– Please."

"L–l–let me go, I have a wife and daughter."

The body stared down at him with his dark eyes covered in blood.

Varun:"She was also someone's daughter."

He grabbed his head twisted it 180.

He stood there.

Silent.

Unmoving.

Staring blankly at the bodies.

The place was empty and ruin.

Not a single soul traveled near them.

He kept standing as the weather slowly got darker and rain poured down.

The blood washed down from his body.

But something remained.

Something dark.

A mischievous smile.

A cold enthusiasm.

His dark eyes glinted red with blood and water.

After about few minutes.

His father and brother came from the alley on his left.

His father immediately took of his his shoe and hit right on Varun's head.

He didn't realize there were dead bodies surrounding them.

He hits him an asked—

Dad:"Where were you?!"

"You mom had been flooding the house with tears."

Varun didn't say anything.

He took the hits and—

Collapsed.

His Brother and Father held him immediately as his brother saw the bodies around them.

His father also saw them and covered his mouth in shock, he was able to control himself from fainting because he's been near dead bodies many times as a police officer.

But—

His brother couldn't stand it and puked right there.

The smell of blood and sickening scene of dead bodies around them made them first think: "was he running away from someone?" Or "maybe he found found them somehow and froze in fear."

His father called for 100 and they came after too much waiting.

When they came.

They right away questioned his father and brother instead of going to the bodies.

His father was frustrated because the officers were questioning him instead of going to check on the bodies.

After a moment of back and forth.

Varun finally stirred and woke up.

His brother immediately called their father.

His father helped him sit up as he held his head and groaned.

Varun:"Urgh~"

"Wha–what's happening?"

Varun opened his eyes and oddly enough.

They were shining unlike the moment he was smiling.

His father looked at him and hugged him.

Dad:"Nothing."

"Just a misunderstanding."

"Just tell me what are you doing here, and what happened here?"

Varun looked up in confusion and looked around.

And just as his eyes fell on the dead bodies.

He puked and teared up right away.

Varun:"Wha–what the hell is this?... Why are there people laying like that?"

He asked with trembling voice.

And his father hugged him right away after seeing that.

He caressed his head and shushed him down calmly.

Dad:"shh~, shh~"

"Everything is fine."

"They were like this when we came here, you might've been too shocked to realize that and fainted there."

The officers was about to ask more questions but his father gestured them to stop and took both his children to the hospital.

The doctor saw priyansh and said that it's due to shock.

But—

When her brown eyes looked into Varun's eyes.

She saw them having a weird shine in them.

Like—

A certain someone.

The doctor wrote a few medicines for both of them but—

Doctor:"Keep your younger child away from these kind shocks for a few years."

"He seems to be in severe shock and might develop some stress disorder."

"That's normal for someone at his age seeing dead people."

His father nodded and left with them.

The nurse walked upto the doctor and handed her the notepad.

The doctor took it and said—

"Bring me the patient 36th's file."

"Something feels strange today."

The nurse looked at the doctor in confusion but when and brought the file from the reception.

She came back and passed it to the doctor.

She opened the file and there was a whole paragraph about a patient.

[Name: Daniel wokslent.

Age: 23

Gender: male.

Condition: PTSD, dual personality.

Category: dangerous.

"The patient seems to be getting recurring dreams about his trauma.

they don't remember why they get dreams or who the person in their dream are.

They also seem to be reacting different in certain moments.

Like, triggers that makes them react differently."

The doctor placed the file down and stood up.

She took off her surgery outfit, revealing her black hair.

She seemed to a young adult in her early 30s.

She tied her hair in a ponytail and took the file again before leaving the office.

She gestured to one of the doctors with three fingers as that doctor gave her the keys and she put it into the keyhole of room 003.

The door clicked open.

She swung it as before she could even enter inside.

A male voice responded in amusement.

"You finally found a interesting piece."

"Didn't you."

"Miss. Anika. Aalok. Verma."
