"Come on, Rorschach!"
"Keep it coming!"
Eric's eyes burned with a wild excitement he hadn't felt in a long time.
The pressure Rorschach brought him was something he had never experienced before. His entire body tightened instinctively, muscles tensing and nerves stretched to their limits.
He could barely catch his breath.
But that was exactly what he wanted.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Amid the constant rhythm of colliding metal, Rorschach forced his way forward step by step. The flying steel objects around him were smashed aside like scraps as he carved a straight path through Eric's defenses.
Within seconds, he arrived directly in front of him.
Rorschach raised his fist and swung.
For Eric, that moment felt suffocating.
It was like watching a wild beast charge straight toward him.
His pupils shrank instantly, and adrenaline surged through his veins.
"Ha!"
With a low shout, Eric reacted.
A massive chunk of reinforced concrete—almost the size of a person—rose suddenly from the ground and slammed toward Rorschach.
Before this moment, Eric would never have been able to control something that large with such speed and precision.
Boom!
The next second, the concrete block exploded.
Rorschach's punch shattered it instantly.
Fragments of stone burst outward in every direction.
At the same time, the glow in Rorschach's eyes intensified.
Two red beams shot forward.
Eric felt a chill run down his spine.
Every hair on his body seemed to stand upright.
For a brief instant, he truly felt the presence of death approaching.
Under that extreme pressure, Eric's reaction speed reached a new level.
At the last possible moment, he pulled a steel pipe into the air and positioned it in front of himself.
Clang!
The heat vision struck the pipe directly.
Eric had successfully blocked the direct beam.
But he hadn't considered the impact.
The steel pipe flew backward under the immense force of the attack.
Bang!
It smashed straight into Eric.
He was knocked off his feet and crashed onto the ground with a heavy thud.
Just watching the fall looked painful.
Yet Eric barely seemed to notice.
He jumped back up almost immediately and shouted toward Rorschach.
"Again!"
"Keep going! Just like that!"
It was hard to tell whether Eric was training or discovering a hidden love for punishment.
Rorschach sighed and rushed forward again.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Eric was knocked down repeatedly.
Within minutes his face was bruised and swollen, looking thoroughly miserable.
Of course, Rorschach was controlling his strength carefully.
Eric looked terrible, but he hadn't suffered any real injuries.
"Eric's getting destroyed," Havok muttered.
"Since when is Rorschach this strong?"
"Poor guy…"
The mutants watching nearby were stunned.
They had expected an exciting duel between two powerful mutants.
Instead, what they saw was a completely one-sided beating.
Everyone already knew Rorschach was stronger than Eric.
But the gap between them was far larger than anyone imagined.
Even Charles couldn't help shaking his head slightly.
He could tell immediately that Rorschach was holding back—by a massive margin.
If he fought seriously, Eric would have died hundreds of times already.
Still…
Charles also noticed something interesting.
Although Eric looked battered, the training was clearly pushing him forward.
So Charles made a decision.
"Alex. Sean. Darwin."
He called out calmly.
"You three join Eric."
The young mutants froze for a moment.
Then their faces lit up with excitement.
"Rorschach, huh?" Havok said with a grin. "I've wanted to test myself against him for a while."
With a shout, he fired an energy wave directly toward Rorschach.
Whoosh!
But Rorschach's body simply swayed.
A faint afterimage remained where he had been standing.
In the blink of an eye he appeared somewhere else.
"My turn!"
Sean had been waiting eagerly.
He opened his mouth and released a powerful sonic blast.
Whoosh!
Once again, Rorschach disappeared.
"What kind of speed is that?" Raven muttered in disbelief.
Hank looked equally stunned.
"At that speed, no one here could even hit him," Hank said quietly. "Even if he just stood still as a target."
"Got you!"
A voice suddenly shouted.
Darwin had appeared behind Rorschach and grabbed him tightly.
Of course, Darwin didn't realize something important.
Rorschach had allowed it.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Darwin's body instantly transformed.
His skin hardened into a stone-like structure, locking Rorschach in place.
The others immediately seized the opportunity.
Energy waves.
Sound blasts.
Flying metal from Eric.
All of it rushed toward Rorschach at once.
But before the attacks could land—
Rorschach grabbed Darwin with one hand.
Then he lifted him.
With a casual motion, he tossed Darwin away like a piece of trash.
Darwin's body flew dozens of meters before crashing onto the ground.
Meanwhile the attacks had already arrived.
Energy blasts and metal objects filled the air, sealing every escape route around Rorschach.
"Now we've got you!" Havok said confidently.
For a brief moment, the attacking mutants smiled.
Then—
Crack!
Rorschach stomped the ground.
The earth shattered beneath his feet.
His body launched upward like a cannonball.
He soared more than ten meters into the air.
All the attacks passed harmlessly beneath him.
The smiles on everyone's faces froze.
After landing lightly on the ground again, Rorschach glanced at the group with a grin.
"Guys," he said calmly, "I only planned to spar with Eric."
He paused slightly.
"But since you insisted on joining…"
Several mutants shivered instinctively.
They looked at Eric's swollen face and immediately began shaking their heads.
"Rorschach, Charles told us to!"
"Don't come over here!"
"Haha… that's not really our choice!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The training ground exploded into chaos.
Shouts.
Crashes.
The occasional cry of pain.
When the noise finally settled down, the result was obvious.
Every mutant who had joined the fight—except for Charles and a few others who had stayed out of it—was lying on the ground.
They looked like puddles of exhausted bodies, completely unable to stand.
On that day, they all experienced firsthand just how terrifying Rorschach really was.
