"It's actually quite a simple plan, but I have a feeling that you two would have the capability to screw up even a plan as simple as mine" Celeste told the others.
"Will you just get to the point already?" Ren asked dryly, mostly ignoring Celeste's comments. Though the same couldn't be said for Leona who had thrown a bit of a fit. After Ren wrangled her in, Celeste continued with her plan.
"My special ability is called, Queen's Canvas, it allows me to use my aura to create different effects with my paint." Celeste told them.
"Alright so what does that have to do with your plan?" Leona asked as she had long since run out of patience.
"It's quite simple, I'll use my ability to camouflage our ship. Which will allow us to land without issue. Then I'll use it to give each of us a perfect disguise. With that our infiltration will be a walk in the park." Celeste explained.
"That's actually a really good plan. I'd rather not admit it, but that would be a big help." Ren said.
"Ok, but what are we supposed to do once we get there?" Leona asked, trying to take the wind out of Celeste's sails.
"Umm, isn't that really more up to you two? It's just my job to get you guys in. Whatever you two do there is your own business." Celeste replied.
"Don't worry, once we get in I can handle it from there." Ren said confidently. Though Leona had long since lost confidence in the plans of Ren.
After a while of traveling, the group arrived in the orbit of Vanda and were approached by the Vandal border patrol.
"Stop there, we need to check your IDs and see your entry permit before we can allow you to land." A border guard told them as he approached them.
By this time, Celeste had already changed the appearance of both the ship and the three of them before the guard arrived. She had also forged papers that would get them access into the Royal Palace.
"Yes we have authorization to land. We're reporters doing a story on the king. Could you escort us to the palace please?" Celeste asked with a feigned politeness that would put most actresses to shame.
The guards did as she asked and lead the group to the Vandal Royal Palace. Once they had landed, Celeste started to raise her concerns.
"I got you guys in just like I said I would, but are you really sure about this? Won't they find out that our story is fake as soon as they ask the king? He should know that we don't actually have a meeting planned with him." Celeste said.
"Actually you'd be surprised how little attention the king pays to things like this. I bet it doesn't even cross his mind that we're not who we say we are." Ren replied.
"When you sound so confident about something I get worried." Leona said. "How would you anything about the Vandal King anyway?"
"Just trust me, when have my plans ever gone wrong?" He asked.
"Only constantly!"
"No. You only think that because you don't consider that all my plans always work out in the end."
"This little routine that you two do is quite cute and entertaining but would you mind getting serious? We're about to be in front of the king." Celeste told them.
"Your highness, we have some reporters here, they say that you agreed to do an interview with them." An officer told the king as the group entered.
"I don't recall agreeing to any such thing." The king, Toro Fernandez the Second replied. "Then again when do I ever remember these tedious little distractions." He said much to the relief of group.
"I apologize for the inconvenience your majesty." Celeste said with a courteous bow.
"There is no need to apologize, I am not inconvenienced by your presence." Toro Jr. responded.
"I thank you sir-" Celeste started to say before she was cut off by the king.
"You misunderstand me. You will not be inconveniencing me because I simply don't have the time to deal with you at the moment. You will have to be satisfied with inconveniencing my son instead. I assume of course that an interview with the crown prince would be enough to get you out of my hair?" The king asked.
"Of course sir. We're honored just to be granted an opportunity to speak with any member of the Vandal Royal Family." Celeste replied.
"Good." Toro II made a wave of his hand at an official near the door and in walked a young man around the same age as Ren and the others.
He was a tall and muscular young man with short blonde spiky hair. He wore armor that has black with red and gold designs. He had a strong appearance, but what really made him stand out was his aura. His aura was powerful and suffocating. It made it impossible for the group to breathe, they all dropped to one knee and desperately gasped for air as soon as he entered the room.
