The D-Grade hunters ran to the gate where the statues with anvils were, tried pushing the doors, until they were crushed by a large anvil from the ceiling, just like Kazuto's death, by the statues. Natsuya screams in terror, running to the statue, where the statue larger than the other ones, wearing a gat.
Natsuya: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!"
E-Grade Hunters: "What to do....WHAT TO DO????!?!?!"/"RUN TO NATSUYA! HE MIGHT KNOW THE WAY TO SURVIVE!"
The torch fire on the gates turned orange after the D-Grades got killed. The E-Grades ran in the same direction as Natsuya rushed to, before one of them got brutally eviscerated by the two statues running with scythes from the gate the team tried to get out of. The alive D-Grade uses the hunter system to check the statue's level while running. Until the front statue stares at him, noticing the hunter system's existence, it uses its eyes to pulverize the D-Grade, shattering the hunter system and its owner, killing both in action. The Hunter System is very vital for fighting curses, as they can secretly check the opponent's level or strength without them noticing. Now the statues notice them, they made them pointless. Everyone in the temple has no way out; the only option is to stay horrified before getting killed.
Natsuya: "WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN????? REJECTION, THEN TRAGEDY!!!! I CAN'T STAND THIS ANYMORE!!"
As soon as Natsuya saw Gyu collapse from the floor, seeing the corpses of the E-Grades and the torch turning red, he yelled to him about staying with him, in the statue in the front.
Natsuya: "*Panicking* GYU! COME HERE!"
The Front Statue all freighted him, standing in terror. The statue started to crumble into a demonic figure with four arms, eyes, and wings, wearing glowing, spectral armor.
Natsuya: "*Raising his left hand, feeling disastrous* GYUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Gyu couldn't move at all, giving him the moment to spend his last time in the temple, saying his last words.
Gyu: "Sorry... Continue and dream on... CONTINUE WITH YOUR ADVENTURE! LIVE! SURVIVE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! REMEMBER ABOUT ME! CONFRONT SANG-GUK AND HIS ACCOMPLICES! YOU WILL BE THE STRONGEST SOMEDAY!!!"
Natsuya: "Come with me so we can-"
The Front Statue uses its eye to evaporate Gyu with its laser eyes. The laser had struck his hand, it was very agonizing, and Natsuya cried about being alone here.
Natsuya: "*Hopelessly* NO!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SURVIVE THIS????!!?!?!"
Natsuya used his right hand to use his last hope, bringing out his Infernal Slasher, to cut through the Statue. He couldn't perform skills due to the lack of mana and tried slicing its leg, but it shattered the blade into pieces.
Natsuya: "Damn it. Akira's going to kill me. Wait.. these statues will kill me!"
The torches on the gates turn blue, and the statues from every gate start to go after Natsuya. The statues with clocks and anvils start to crush him to the ground, until the Front Statue also uses its large foot to stomp him, which he ultimately dodges. As he started running away from the statues, all ran, but the front statue walked constantly, seeing him suffer. Seconds later, while running, he saw green fire on the rubble where Kazuto died, thinking it was a way to survive, without his left hand, he used his right hand to find a way to keep the fire going. Once he reached the rubble, he found wood from there, and the green fire fused with the wood there as he held it.
Natsuya: "*Thinking* Think, think... statues chasing after me, and... five unlit torches? Orange fire on the giant anvil, red fire from the E-Grades, and I could see the blue fire from here! It is on the ashes where my left hand was disintegrated."
Natsuya thought about putting the fires from dead beings on the five unlit torches in the middle of the temple, which seemed to be the only option rather than waiting for death. What about the last fire? That is when he saw the blindfolded statues, the statues holding billhooks, going after him at the same time.
Natsuya: "All died from the statues except the ones with the clocks and the billhooks. How do I make fire from them?"
That is when he came up with an idea, where he could mix with the fire colors and try to guess correctly to see what happens once all unlit torches would react in the middle.
Natsuya: "*Collecting 7 sticks, running to the giant anvil* No need to guess. I can determine the colors of the fire by the statue's eye colors!" he reached the anvil, collecting the orange fire with the wood.
"The ones with billhooks are... purple, and the ones with clocks are yellow! No time to waste, Natsuya. You've done worse."
