Chapter 6
The Fairy Tail guild hall was as lively as ever.
At the second floor railing, Makarov stood with a mug in his hand, quietly watching the chaos below. The old master sighed but a faint smile stayed on his face.
Down below, voices suddenly rose.
"Hay Wakaba you basterd stop cheating!" Macao shouted while slamming his cards on the table.
Wakaba didn't even look guilty. He calmly leaned back in his chair and puffed his cigar.
"Don't blame me because you're bad at the game."
Macao's face twitched in anger.
"You're definitely cheating!"
Within seconds the table flipped over.
Chairs crashed, fists flew, and insults filled the guild hall as several members jumped into the fight. Tables and chairs scattered everywhere while laughter mixed with shouting.
At a nearby table, a girl with long brown hair sighed while watching the chaos.
Cana rubbed her forehead before turning toward a dark-haired boy beside her.
"Hey Gray, you pervert. Where are your clothes?"
Gray blinked and looked down at himself.
He froze.
"Ahhhh! Where did my clothes go?!"
He was standing there wearing nothing but his boxers.
Cana immediately facepalmed.
"What kind of pervert are you? You just took them off yourself!"
Gray panicked and ran across the room looking for his clothes.
The guild members burst into laughter.
"Hahahaha!"
"That's Fairy Tail's exhibitionist for you!"
"He can strip anywhere!"
Wakaba laughed loudly while pointing at him.
Gray's face turned red with embarrassment as he finally grabbed his shirt and pants.
"Shut up!"
He immediately lunged at Wakaba.
And just like that—
Another brawl started.
Makarov watched the entire scene from above and chuckled warmly.
"Ahh… the usual."
At that moment the large doors of the guild hall slowly opened.
Two figures stepped inside.
A young boy with white and red hair wearing black and red clothes with a crimson scarf.
Beside him walked a red-haired girl wearing simple armor, her posture straight and confident.
The noisy guild slowly went quiet as everyone turned to look at the newcomers.
Erza and Kai walked forward calmly.
"Who is the Guild Master of Fairy Tail?" Erza asked clearly.
Kai's gaze had already locked onto a small old man standing on the second floor.
Even without using the Transparent World, his instincts could feel the immense power hidden inside that small body.
Makarov jumped down from the balcony and landed in front of them.
"What brings you kids to Fairy Tail?" he asked with a gentle smile.
Erza and Kai exchanged a brief glance.
Erza spoke first.
"I'm Erza."
Kai nodded slightly.
"And I'm Kai."
Erza continued firmly.
"We want to join Fairy Tail."
Makarov stroked his beard while studying them carefully.
"Why Fairy Tail?"
Erza's hands clenched slightly.
"Because we promised someone."
For a brief moment Makarov saw the pain hidden deep inside her eyes.
The old master nodded slowly.
"Well… since you came all the way here."
He smiled warmly.
"Come here. Let me stamp you with the guild mark."
He walked toward the counter and pulled out the guild stamp.
"So which color and where?"
Kai spoke first.
"Crimson. Right shoulder."
Erza pointed to her arm.
"White. Left side."
Several guild members immediately leaned closer.
"Ohhhh?"
"Matching colors already?"
"Kids these days are fast!"
Wakaba laughed loudly while nudging Macao.
Erza turned toward them calmly.
"White for the Moon."
She then glanced toward Kai.
"Crimson for the Sun."
Makarov nodded with interest.
"Well… the Sun suits the kid perfectly."
He looked at Kai carefully.
"His magic really does feel like a crimson sun."
And he wasn't exaggerating.
Because of Sun Breathing, Kai's magic had developed a unique nature.
Hot.
Warm.
Gentle.
Yet incredibly destructive.
Makarov pressed the stamp against Kai's shoulder first.
A crimson Fairy Tail mark appeared instantly.
Then he placed the white mark on Erza.
Makarov stepped back and raised his voice.
"Alright!"
He spread his arms widely.
"From now on, Erza and Kai are part of Fairy Tail's family!"
The entire guild erupted.
"WELCOME TO FAIRY TAIL!"
"Let's party!"
"New members!"
Music, laughter, and cheering filled the guild hall again.
At the same moment, a notification appeared in Kai's mind.
{DING! Mission Complete — Join Fairy Tail}
{Rewards — Swords ×2, Moon Breathing}
Kai blinked slightly.
Another window appeared.
{Swords — Meigetsu, Kyojitsu}
Kai grinned quietly.
Before he could think further, several guild members grabbed him and Erza.
"Come on!"
"You can't join Fairy Tail without celebrating!"
Within seconds both of them were dragged into the middle of the party.
For the first time in years—
Kai and Erza finally felt like they were home.
