No movie or drama or book could help me understand how other people my age or younger manage to easily climb down from a second story building to sneak out.
Sometimes people have you know... convenient foot placers to climb down but I could hardly find them especially in the dark. Careful though, I try making my way down when unsurprisingly, I miss a step and brace myself for impact with the ground.
The ground was hard but at least it wasn't concrete. I had landed on a patch of grass in the small garden that was under the garden. I was just happy I hadn't hit any of the rocks. I was able to get the dirt off of me and get up fairly easily. I'm not too athletic, actually I'm pretty lazy but I'm also not too unfit. Taking care of so many of the children at the orphanage will do that to you. Six-seven year old's are heavier than you would imagine sometimes not to mention the non stop game of tag.
With a sigh, I look back up to the balcony. it made sense that the fall didn't hurt. The balcony was not as high as I had though it was.
I had seen the garden out of the balcony window before and yet I had never seen an exit. It's nice to take a fresh breath of air. The room had gotten a stuffy feeling, despite how big it is. Following the side of the building, I eventually get to the front of the building, admiring the plants and flowers visible at night.
The entrance, despite it being night was naturally full of guards and so now, a greater challenge arises. *sigh* this night will be more tiring than I though it would be.
Trying my best to remain in the dark, which is by the bushes, I make my way to the gate at the entrance. It was so naive of me to think I could easily make it out of this mansion. Even at a distance, I can spot four camera's by the entrance. Sighing, I grab my phone from my pocket, one of two. The one they hadn't managed to find and take away. While I don't care for my personal phone, my other device is of importance- a device I had personally made and coded specifically for my needs.
It's a breeze to take the cameras down from my phone. Granted not brought down- just looped video of a serene gate played, until I get through to the other side and a long way far from here. Thankfully or maybe even oddly enough, there wasn't anyone stationed at the gate. I did however find a keypad at a side of the gate wall. I was able to bypass it and get through. All of it without alarming the guards... I think although I have had this odd feeling of being watched for sometime now. I made sure that the camera's had erased any trace of me and I haven't tripped any alarm so far- although I could be wrong.
Being officially outside of the mansion I need a ride to the city and I just know that Josh is going to kill me for calling so late at night.
