Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Impersonating Jiraiya

Fugaku chatted with Hiruzen Sarutobi until late before leaving. As he walked out of the Hokage Building, he turned to Itachi and said, "Tomorrow, go deliver some low-level Ninjutsu scrolls to Mitsusuke. Consider it a reward from our Uchiha for the students."

"Also, after delivering the low-level Ninjutsu scrolls, send the Uchiha Clan's family Ninjutsu to the Hokage Office as well."

"Since the Village is willing to accept us, besides dealing with the hardliners, we must also show our sincerity."

"Alright, I'll choose some tonight," Itachi nodded in agreement. "What about Shisui? Should he still live with Mitsusuke? Isn't it a bit bad for the Uchiha's reputation for a member of our clan to continuously reside in the Sarutobi Clan's territory?"

"It's fine, let Shisui stay with Mitsusuke! Mitsusuke is the bridge for communication between our Uchiha and the Village. As long as Shisui is there, the bridge remains."

After discussing the Uchiha matters, Fugaku's expression turned grim: "Since the Village has given our Uchiha Clan a path, we must seize this opportunity. Prepare yourself; we will make our move at the end of this month."

Although Fugaku was a coward, he was quite intelligent. Using some low-level Ninjutsu to gain the students' favor was incredibly cost-effective.

The reason for giving them to Mitsusuke was also because he knew Mitsusuke would tell the students that these Ninjutsu scrolls were sponsored by the Uchiha.

Inside the Hokage Office, as soon as Fugaku left, Danzo stormed in, huffing: "Hiruzen, I disagree with reconciling with the Uchiha. You've forgotten our teacher's teachings. You're not fit to be Hokage. You should retire! I will take your place..."

"Enough, Danzo," Hiruzen Sarutobi slammed his hand on the desk, rising to his feet. "Our teacher only told us to be wary of the Uchiha, fearing another Uchiha Madara might appear, not to eliminate the Uchiha."

"I'm not wrong, you are. The Uchiha are inherently evil and must be eliminated. This was our teacher's long-cherished wish, and I must fulfill it for him."

At this moment, Danzo's face was somewhat twisted, with an unconcealed madness.

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at Danzo with a serious expression. He now felt that his old comrade gave him a very unfamiliar feeling.

The Uchiha had done nothing to Danzo, and Danzo's current state was very abnormal. From his demeanor, it seemed he was determined to annihilate the Uchiha.

Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't believe Danzo was doing this for the Village, so what exactly was his purpose in wanting to destroy the Uchiha?

After much thought, the only thing worth Danzo's attention was the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan.

Hiruzen Sarutobi stood up and walked over to Danzo, warning him, "This matter has been decided. If you try to obstruct it in the dark, I will strip you of your power. Do not challenge my bottom line, even if you are my comrade."

"Hmph! You'll regret this, Hiruzen."

Danzo routinely uttered a threat and turned to leave. There was no point in saying more; he might as well think about how to collect as many Sharingan as possible without crossing his old comrade's bottom line. His Hashirama cells had recently started acting up again.

Watching Danzo's retreating back, Hiruzen Sarutobi felt an inexpressible emotion. He always felt that he and his old comrade were drifting further and further apart.

Their beliefs had diverged, and it was an irreconcilable divergence.

From the bottom of his heart, Hiruzen Sarutobi did not want to destroy the Uchiha.

Because he knew the Village was currently in a transitional period, weak in strength. Without the Uchiha, it was very likely that other Villages would take advantage of the vulnerability.

As long as the Uchiha didn't stage a coup, he wouldn't choose to move against them.

Especially Mitsusuke's words today made Hiruzen Sarutobi think about the Sarutobi Clan's future.

If a precedent for clan extermination was set in Konoha, he couldn't guarantee that the Sarutobi would not suffer the same fate in the future.

He also dared not gamble the future of the Sarutobi Clan on the attitude of future Hokage.

The Sarutobi Clan currently had a very large number of Ninja. If they were targeted by a future Hokage, it would definitely be a big problem.

Early the next morning, as soon as Mitsusuke woke up, Shisui told him about Itachi delivering the scrolls.

Itachi was very happy today. While cooking, he even hummed a tune, which was completely different from his usual serious personality.

Although Itachi told Shisui he would eliminate a few hardline leaders, Shisui wasn't too sad. Reducing casualties to just a few people was already a very good outcome.

So he was very grateful to Mitsusuke. Although Shisui didn't know what Mitsusuke said, he knew that without Mitsusuke, the Hokage would never have changed his attitude.

After eating, Mitsusuke and Shisui left the house, walking together towards the school.

"Mitsusuke, I heard you're teaching the students Substitution Jutsu. Isn't that too early for them? I think it's better to teach some basic things for now. They still have a few years before graduation, no need to rush."

"I've already heard from Iruka. Your teaching method is quite simple and brutal! Even Sasuke got injured."

Mitsusuke adjusted his toad goggles and said somewhat listlessly, "Simple and brutal is also the fastest way. I am a teacher, and my responsibility is to teach them the skills to survive in the future. Other matters are none of my concern."

"Since they chose to be Ninja, they must endure the hardship. If they don't have that perseverance, they should just be ordinary people! It's better than being killed."

Shisui always felt that these words sounded a bit out of place coming from Mitsusuke's mouth. How could a slacker who just wanted to coast by say such a thing?

As soon as Mitsusuke and Shisui arrived at the school gate, they met an excited Naruto: "Mitsusuke-sensei, I've learned Water Walking! Please teach me Substitution Jutsu!"

Rubbing Naruto's head, Mitsusuke was in a very good mood. Even a dead last like Naruto had learned Water Walking, so learning Substitution Jutsu would only take ten days to half a month.

The morning was for theoretical classes. After Mitsusuke made a round in the office, he decided to slack off, which meant secretly going to the casino to play a few rounds.

Although he was blacklisted by the casino, he could use a Transformation Jutsu to get in.

After much thought, Mitsusuke decided to transform into Jiraiya. This way, he could not only win more money but also wouldn't have to worry about not being able to take his winnings.

In a corner, Mitsusuke used the Transformation Jutsu, turning into a Greasy Middle-aged Man.

As Mitsusuke entered the casino, a receptionist immediately greeted him: "Lord Jiraiya, why are you here? Shouldn't you be at the women's bathhouse? You...Waaaaah..."

Before the receptionist could finish speaking, he was silenced by the casino boss, who rushed over and covered his mouth. They ran a casino in Konoha, and they couldn't afford to offend such a prominent figure.

Mitsusuke ignored the receptionist and walked straight to a gambling table. Winning money was the most important thing.
