Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Noobs Pecking at Each Other

As soon as Hiruzen Sarutobi left, Shisui ran up to Mitsusuke: "Mitsusuke, show me that again. I didn't see your movements clearly just now. It's truly amazing; your speed can actually reach that level."

Seeing Shisui's expectant gaze, Mitsusuke didn't plan on keeping it to himself. With a flash of light beneath his feet, he abruptly appeared behind Shisui.

Because the speed was too fast, Mitsusuke's afterimage still stood in front of Shisui, only disappearing after a second.

Speaking of which, Mitsusuke's Body Flicker Technique was somewhat similar to Shisui's; both were combination skills of the Body Flicker Technique and a dash Ninjutsu.

Mitsusuke combined the Body Flicker Technique with the Glint-Glint Fruit. While using the Body Flicker Technique, he would activate the Glint-Glint Fruit's rapid movement, like adding a turbocharger to the Body Flicker Technique to achieve high-speed movement.

Compared to Shisui's Body Flicker Technique, Mitsusuke's version reduced the step of forming hand seals, so he was much faster than Shisui.

This time, Shisui finally saw Mitsusuke's movements clearly, and a very happy smile appeared on his face. He was truly happy for his friend.

At the same time, he felt at ease about the Uchiha's future. As long as Mitsusuke was there, there would be a channel of communication between the Uchiha and the Village. For the sake of his clan's genius, the Hokage wouldn't let Mitsusuke lose heart toward the Village.

Patting the sillily grinning Shisui, Mitsusuke teased, "Stop grinning! You look a bit silly when you smile. You'd better stick to your 'cool and aloof' persona! The female teachers at school prefer that stoic Shisui."

"Mitsusuke, stop making fun of me. You know I have no plans to get married. Even if I do, it will have to wait until the Village and the Uchiha have completely reconciled. Otherwise, I won't get married."

Now Mitsusuke truly admired Shisui. Even though he was marginalized by his clan, he still loved the Uchiha deeply in his heart.

Since the testing was finished, the two walked toward the school together. Shisui still had a class in the afternoon!

As soon as Mitsusuke returned to school, Iruka found him: "Mitsusuke-sensei, I've already notified the students that there will be an assessment tonight. Since you are the Ninjutsu teacher, I'd like to invite you to watch."

"That way, you can also give the students some advice on the spot."

Since after school didn't count as his slacking-off time, Mitsusuke thought about it and agreed to Iruka's suggestion.

Soon, it was time for school to end, and the students gathered on the playground.

Knowing today was a Combat Assessment, the students were all raring to go, eager to try.

Mitsusuke followed behind Iruka, leisurely making his way to the playground.

Iruka was used to Mitsusuke's slow-paced personality; being able to get him to come at all was already quite good.

Clearing his throat, Iruka took out the match schedule: "Students, it's almost the end of the month. Mitsusuke-sensei and I plan to conduct a Baseline Assessment and point out everyone's shortcomings. Please step forward when I call your names."

"First match: Ino Yamanaka vs. Sakura Haruno. Both students, please step forward."

...

Sakura Haruno and Ino walked out of the crowd together and formed the Seal of Confrontation. This was a Ninja rule.

But in Mitsusuke's eyes, this was just formalism, completely useless.

Leaning against a tree, Mitsusuke lit a cigarette for himself, smoking while watching the two girls spar.

After forming seals, Sakura Haruno took the lead and attacked Ino, who also charged toward her.

The moment the two girls clashed, Mitsusuke was disappointed.

How should he put it? To describe it in one sentence, it was "noobs pecking at each other." It wasn't interesting at all; pulling hair and scratching faces would probably deal more damage!

Watching the students spar, Mitsusuke thought back to when he first started school.

The first time he sparred with his classmates, he left an indelible shadow on them.

Eye-poking, groin-kicking, grabbing the opponent's hair and slamming it against his knee.

After the sparring, many students went home clutching their crotches, and the teachers couldn't even stop them.

The next morning, many parents told Hiruzen Sarutobi about Mitsusuke's actions, demanding he be severely punished.

Since then, the teachers never let Mitsusuke participate in assessments again.

This was also what Mitsusuke wanted to see; only then could he slack off in peace.

While Mitsusuke was reminiscing, the match between Sakura Haruno and Ino had reached a conclusion. Relying on her clan's Ninjutsu, Ino easily defeated Sakura Haruno.

"Next is Shikamaru versus..."

Before Iruka could finish, Shikamaru raised his hand: "I forfeit."

Iruka...

With no other choice, Iruka could only arrange for the other students to fight first.

After watching a few more matches, Mitsusuke really couldn't take it anymore.

He knew these kids would be weak, but he didn't expect them to be this pathetic—even worse than a street brawl.

"Alright, alright, stop it!" Mitsusuke walked over to Iruka, looking disappointed. "This sparring is like child's play; I can't stand to watch any longer. Let's change the rules. All of you attack me at once, and I'll show you what a real fight looks like."

Iruka turned his head to look at Mitsusuke and whispered, "Mitsusuke-sensei, I think the students are doing quite well. Are you being too demanding?"

"You call this 'quite well'?" Mitsusuke pointed at the two students who had just fought. "Now, let me teach them a lesson and show them what a real battle is."

Without further argument with Iruka, Mitsusuke sat down in the middle of the playground. "Listen up, you brats. Attack me with everything you've got. If you can even make me move from this spot, you win."

"If you can't make me move, every one of you will run a hundred laps around the playground today. Do you dare to accept?"

Mitsusuke's actions left the students bewildered. They began to look at each other, wondering why the teacher had suddenly gotten angry.

Seeing no one move, Mitsusuke continued, "Don't worry, I won't use any Ninjutsu, and I'll only use one hand. Are you still too scared?"

As soon as he heard the teacher wouldn't use Ninjutsu and would only use one hand, Naruto charged straight ahead: "Teacher, here I come!"

With Naruto leading the way, Sasuke also rushed forward, followed by a third, a fourth...

Iruka looked at the students and shook his head with a wry smile. These students didn't even have any coordination; how could they possibly be a match for Mitsusuke?

Although Mitsusuke was called the disgrace of the sarutobi clan, it was only because he was lazy and lacked ambition; his strength was not weak at all.

At this moment, Naruto had already reached Mitsusuke and kicked directly at his head.

Just a second after Naruto kicked out his right foot, he stopped his attack with a look of pain, his foot halting two centimeters from Mitsusuke's head.
