Chapter 111 - Chapter 111: Historical Text

"Rumble!"

Using Observation Haki to lock onto Gan Fall's attack trajectory, she swung her arm, transforming it into a thick purple bolt of lightning that shot towards him with lightning speed.

Facing the incoming lightning, Gan Fall's expression changed drastically. The attack was too fast; it gave him no time to react. Now, there was no way to dodge, especially since he was still moving toward her.

But he was also a man who had been through countless battles. In the face of imminent death, he did not sit idly by. He immediately gripped the long spear in his hand, mobilized all his strength, and swung the spear to cleave at the incoming lightning.

The striped bird that was pouncing toward Raiden Ei was even more terrified, its feathers standing on end. Its eyes, fixed on the incoming lightning, showed panic.

As if facing a life-or-death crisis, it opened its beak and cried out in alarm, frantically flapping its wings, trying desperately to dodge to the side.

The two were not far apart, so their struggles were useless. In an instant, the lightning pierced through the long spear Gan Fall had swung, and the thick bolt of electricity completely enveloped them both.

"Sizzle sizzle!"

In just an instant, Gan Fall and the striped bird cried out in agony as the lightning struck them. The current wantonly ravaged their bodies. In a flash, they fell from the sky, completely scorched black and emitting smoke, their eyes rolled back.

"Thud!"

Raiden Ei's arm returned to normal. She looked at Gan Fall, who had fallen from the sky and crushed a patch of weeds. He was knocked unconscious by the lightning strike, his silver armor covered in black ash.

The striped bird reverted from its horse form. It too was scorched black, its feathers curled up from the lightning strike. Its beak was wide open, emitting wisps of black smoke, as if it had been roasted.

She stood not far from them and could smell a burnt odor. However, under the perception of her Observation Haki, their life auras had not vanished; they had only fallen into a state of critical injury.

Raiden Ei thought: It seems an attack like that won't kill someone with such a tough constitution. Given the recovery ability of people in this world, they should recover soon.

The lightning she just used, if this were before she transmigrated, would have killed anyone she faced, regardless of who it was. Yet now, Gan Fall's internal organs were practically scorched, and he could still recover—it was absurd.

"It seems the so-called God isn't all that impressive!" Raiden Ei said to Gan Fall. She guessed he hadn't completely lost consciousness, but was just unable to move his body.

She stopped paying attention to the now immobile Gan Fall and continued to complete the hauling work she hadn't finished.

She didn't want to deliver a finishing blow. Gan Fall was just an insignificant opponent to her. If he foolishly dared to stop her again, it wouldn't be too late to act then.

As Raiden Ei's slender arms continuously lifted collapsed structures and placed chunks of gold into the system backpack, all that remained behind her were the ruins and rubble of demolished buildings.

After collecting the gold from nearly half the area, she finally approached the center of the location. She saw something different from gold: a cubical stone inscribed all over with characters she didn't recognize, resembling scribbles.

Raiden Ei touched the stone, which, despite being old and covered in moss, was still intact. She stated confidently, "This must be this world's so-called Poneglyph!"

Although she wasn't interested in the history that had occurred in this world, she was somewhat curious about the Poneglyph.

The World Government destroyed Ohara with a Buster Call just to prevent people from knowing about the Void Century. But wasn't this being overly cautious?

Before that, Roger's crew had already seen all the Poneglyphs, reached the Final Island, Laugh Tale, and became the One Piece.

Everything that should be known and shouldn't be known had already been learned by someone. Did the World Government destroy Ohara just to prevent history from spreading?

Roger's crew members also knew history; why didn't the World Government eliminate them? Did they just trust them that much?

As long as they retired and didn't spread the word, they wouldn't be pursued.

So, what happened in this world isn't the most important thing; having enough strength is the most important thing, otherwise, one isn't even allowed to investigate.

"Although I don't recognize these characters, Robin mentioned in the anime that this Poneglyph records the Ancient Weapon, Poseidon."

"But this seems useless to me!"

"Then let me see what's special about this Poneglyph!"

Raiden Ei's fingers slid over the uneven inscriptions of the Poneglyph, feeling the material of the stone. She suddenly placed her palm on the stone and pushed hard.

"Rumble... Bang!"

The giant cube depicting the Poneglyph was easily pushed by Raiden Ei's slender arm. It crashed directly into the wall behind it.

Raiden Ei pulled back her restless hand, patted it, which was now covered in quite a few stains, and looked at the Poneglyph again, saying curiously:

"This should also be a special type of rock. It doesn't look big but it's so heavy, its density is even higher than gold. Maybe I should put it in the system backpack to check."

Raiden Ei's eyes lit up. She acted as soon as she thought of it, immediately storing the stone tablet engraved with the Poneglyph into her system backpack.

Her consciousness also opened the system backpack to examine the Poneglyph inside.

However, upon seeing the pile of gold inside the backpack, she was a little surprised. She quickly did a rough calculation of how much energy the current gold could convert into.

She roughly calculated in her mind that it was almost two to three million. She found it hard to believe, so she looked again carefully. It was indeed there. The corners of her mouth turned up, and she said in pleasant surprise:

"There really are two to three million energy points! Does that mean I'm about to take off now?"

Once she thought about having so much energy, she immediately thought of upgrading herself. She wouldn't have to painstakingly save up energy anymore. How could she not be excited?

But she hadn't forgotten the Poneglyph she had just put into the backpack, so she quickly composed herself and continued to check it with her consciousness inside the backpack.

However, it wasn't that easy to calm down. Having so much energy made her mood much more pleasant.

Although there were quite a few items piled up in the system backpack, the stone tablet engraved with the Poneglyph was also very unique. Soon, her consciousness found it in a corner.

"This also has over 1000 energy points?" Raiden Ei was still somewhat expectant about this Poneglyph, but after just learning she had several million energy points, this amount seemed negligible.

"Bang!"

Raiden Ei waved her arm and placed the stone tablet engraved with the Poneglyph back in its original position. Her gaze fell upon the stone tablet eroded by time, and she said with emotion:

"Although over 1000 energy points is not bad, something this meaningful should stay here!"
