Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: The Island of the Gods, "Appayado"

"Boom!"

Above the boundless white sea of clouds, ten thousand meters high in the sky, a purple lightning bolt suddenly tore a gap in the cloud sea from bottom to top, causing a huge commotion.

Immediately afterward, a purple streak of lightning flashed out of the gap, transforming in mid-air into a young woman wearing blue and purple clothes. She hovered above the cloud sea, with faint purple lightning occasionally flickering around her.

Her clothes were slightly blown by the wind here, and the long braid reaching her knees fluttered behind her. Her expression was completely calm, and her gaze was fixed on the distant island, the corners of her mouth curving slightly. Her purple eyes were filled with curiosity about the place.

Her mouth opened slightly: "Is this the half of Jaya Island that was swept up by an upward current four hundred years ago?"

"The gold from Skypiea should be up here. In the anime, the gold was used by Enel to build a spaceship."

"I don't even know where Enel is now. I just don't know if the gold is still there."

Before Raiden Ei was a massive island. Even though she was still far from it, she could feel its immensity.

She did not linger there any longer. Her body instantly transformed into an element, becoming a streak of purple lightning that shot forward at extreme speed.

"Sizzle!"

Raiden Ei quickly exited her elemental form and landed directly on a branch atop a large tree in the island, the resulting airflow whipping up her clothes and hair. Before her stretched an endless green sea of trees.

Dozens of giant green vines spread around the forest, as if propping up the cloud sea in the sky for this island, extending continuously into the clouds above, which seemed impossibly high.

Raiden Ei looked up at the sky; there appeared to be structures above the clouds. Her Observation Haki instantly surged toward them: "What is that up there? Uh... my Observation Haki range can't reach that far."

"Never mind. If I don't find Skypiea's gold here, I'll go up to check later. This place is already ten thousand meters high. If there are structures above, then that must be the place the Sky People call the dwelling of the gods."

Her figure swiftly moved toward the center of the forest. In her Observation Haki perception, she did not detect anyone nearby; she could only search slowly.

She remembered that in the anime, Robin found the Golden City Ruins in one of the Four Great Trial Grounds of Death, and she even encountered one of Enel's subordinates there.

Since Enel hadn't even appeared yet, there naturally wouldn't be the Four Great Trial Grounds of Death. That Golden City should be somewhere in this forest!

Raiden Ei's figure flashed over the forest canopy, her Observation Haki constantly monitoring the environmental changes in the forest as she searched for the location of the Golden City.

"Are they fighting?"

In Raiden Ei's Observation Haki perception, she suddenly sensed a scene of over a hundred people engaged in combat, divided into two factions fiercely slaughtering each other.

"It should be the dispute between the Shandians and the Sky People. They have been fighting over territory here since four hundred years ago. The Golden City Ruins probably aren't here. I'll look somewhere else!"

Raiden Ei didn't want to get involved, so she quickly swept past to another direction. Since she didn't make a sound, the Shandians and Sky People continued to fight engrossed in the forest.

Raiden Ei soon crossed more than half the forest and finally spotted the Golden City Ruins not far from the center of the forest. Ignoring the fact that she was now close to the structures above the forest, she immediately turned and flew toward the Golden City Ruins.

A figure flashed, and Raiden Ei was already hovering above the Golden City Ruins. Her gaze swept over the structures below, and she couldn't help but feel happy.

The rows of buildings below were all covered in vines and weeds, but one could still see glimpses of gold showing on the structures. Moreover, the entire basin was filled with such buildings—how much gold was that!

"If I had this much gold before I transmigrated, I would wake up laughing in my sleep. But having the system's functions now is pretty good."

Raiden Ei landed directly in the ruins below and began storing the gold into her system backpack. Since no one wanted this stuff anyway, she wouldn't be polite and took it all.

It was like picking up money. Most of the buildings here were made of gold. She just had to dig them out to store them directly in her system backpack.

She didn't care how much dirt or how many vines and weeds were clinging to the gold; she collected it all into her system backpack. It wouldn't cause any trouble anyway.

The commotion Raiden Ei caused while moving the gold was not small, and she was soon discovered by a Sky Person.

She sensed someone approaching her, turned her head, and saw a person wearing full silver armor and holding a spear, riding a winged, striped horse, charging straight toward her from the sky.

She showed no panic at being discovered, instead sizing up the approaching person and murmuring to herself, "Isn't this the attire of Gan Fall from the anime? That must be him, the one who calls himself the Sky Knight."

"That black spot of a winged horse, is that a bird that ate the Zoan type Horse-Horse Fruit?"

"So there really are examples of animals eating Zoan type Devil Fruits!"

While Raiden Ei was observing Gan Fall, he arrived in front of her. The fully armored man, whose face was completely covered, pulled the reins, and the striped horse neighed and stopped in mid-air.

His gaze swept over the surrounding situation before locking onto her. He spoke with a hostile tone, questioning her, "I am Gan Fall, the current God of Skypiea! Sky Islander! What are you doing here!"

Raiden Ei truly disliked people speaking down to her now. Since the other party already harbored ill intentions, she decided not to be polite either.

She spoke mockingly, "God? What an arrogant title. Don't tell me you think you're invincible just because you have a little strength and are spouting nonsense here!"

Gan Fall pointed his spear at Raiden Ei and said angrily, "I am the God of Skypiea, and I will not allow you to endanger the safety of the Sky People!"

"Tell me who you are and what you are doing here, or don't blame me for using force to capture you."

"What do you think a person from the Blue Sea comes here for? Of course, it's for the gold here. This place is covered in gold; it would be a waste not to take it." Raiden Ei wanted to gauge Gan Fall's attitude toward the gold here.

Gan Fall waved the spear in his hand, tightening the reins, appearing ready to strike. He said firmly, "The gold here does not belong to you; it is the property of the Sky People. Please leave."

The corner of Raiden Ei's mouth curved up. It seemed they were indifferent to this gold. She said teasingly, "Oh? Are you going to make a move? Then come on! Let me see how strong the so-called God truly is."

Gan Fall shouted, "You're asking for death!" He pulled the reins, and the striped bird that had eaten the Horse-Horse Fruit flapped its wings and awkwardly charged toward Raiden Ei.

Raiden Ei watched the man and the bird rushing toward her. She didn't want to get entangled with Gan Fall for long. One of her arms began to flicker with purple lightning.
