After Raiden Ei finished teaching the Gorilla, she went into the forest to prepare supplies for setting sail, and grabbed something to eat along the way. As for whether the Gorilla could learn, she didn't know; she wasn't Teacher Kai who guaranteed success, but she hoped the Gorilla could learn!
Speaking of food made Raiden Ei feel troubled. Perhaps due to Raiden Ei's influence, everything she cooked now turned out exceptionally bad, forcing her to subsist only on fruit.
Tossing aside the meat she had roasted until it was yellow, Raiden Ei listlessly picked up the fruit beside her: "Sigh... My culinary Talent is gone. I might need to find a cook to prepare meals for me from now on. Perhaps this is why one excels in one area but lacks in another."
"After all, I have such excellent combat Talents, but that doesn't matter much!"
Raiden Ei muttered dejectedly, picking up wild fruits she had gathered from the forest. There were many wild fruits in the forest she hadn't seen before. Fearing they might be poisonous, she only picked those frequently eaten by animals, reasoning that if animals ate them without issue, they should be safe.
She collected all the gathered wild fruits and stored them in the system backpack, intending to eat them while at sea. She also needed to prepare more supplies, as Raiden Ei didn't know how long she would drift on the ocean.
She also needed to prepare a vessel for sailing. Since she didn't know how to build a ship, she could only use a raft. She planned to find several trees with good buoyancy, tie them together, and make a paddle for rowing. A sail was out of the question, so she would have to drift with the current and hitch a ride on any passing ships.
After considering this, Raiden Ei found a tree with low density and lighter weight than others. She tested it by throwing it into the sea. If it felt suitable, she would use that wood. She spent two hours making several rafts.
She stored the rafts in the system backpack, then went to the seaside and placed one raft in the water, securing it there with rattan vines to test how long it could withstand the impact of the waves.
Having prepared the raft for sailing, Raiden Ei also prepared to gather other necessary supplies. Water and food were crucial. Water could be stored in bamboo tubes. Although the bamboo tubes weren't large, she could make several and they wouldn't take up much space in storage.
Raiden Ei pondered the next steps: "For food, I can only rely on wild fruits. Water can be collected when I bathe in the evening. I need to make the bamboo tubes first. Doing all this will take until dark, so I need to hurry. I should gather the wild fruits first, then make the bamboo tubes!"
Raiden Ei stood by the sea as the sun began to set, carefully planning for tomorrow's departure. The sea breeze blew, bathing her in a golden glow.
Night fell.
Having finished everything, Raiden Ei had just finished bathing and returned to where she had slept the night before. She brought her still slightly damp hair forward over her chest and meticulously combed it.
"I'm leaving this place tomorrow. I should go say goodbye to the Gorilla before I go. It was the first stranger... beast I met after coming to this world!"
The darkness brought no trouble to Raiden Ei. With no entertainment facilities here, she practiced Raiden Ei's martial arts, training her Haki until drowsiness overcame her, then leaned against a tree to sleep.
The next day, as soon as dawn broke, the sunlight shining on Raiden Ei woke her. With hazy purple eyes, a dazed expression, and somewhat messy hair, the newly awakened Raiden Ei seemed a bit lost.
But once awake, Raiden Ei quickly tidied herself up, took wild fruits from her backpack for breakfast, and headed to the Gorilla's tribe.
This time when Raiden Ei arrived, the Gorillas scattered like birds and beasts, but she didn't mind; she was only there to say goodbye to the Gorilla.
This time, the Gorilla didn't wait for Raiden Ei to reach the cave; it met her halfway, still as imposing as ever. The injuries it sustained yesterday were completely gone, and its aura was stronger. She just didn't know how it recovered so quickly.
Raiden Ei got straight to the point, telling the Gorilla, whether it understood or not: "Gorilla, I am leaving this island today. Take care of yourself." She patted the Gorilla's arm to signal it to be careful.
The Gorilla didn't understand what Raiden Ei meant now. It just let out a cry and pointed at her hand, hoping she would teach it Haki again, just like yesterday.
Raiden Ei felt helpless: "Alright... alright... You won't understand even if I say more. It's still early. If you still want to experience Haki, I'll grant your request as a farewell gift."
Her arm covered in Armament Haki, she struck towards the Gorilla, hoping it could truly awaken its Armament Haki!
The continuous attacks left the Gorilla covered in wounds. The Gorilla was also exceptionally fierce, constantly striking back at White, trying to resist the pain with rage.
In the end, the Gorilla was left battered and bruised after only a few punches and kicks from Raiden Ei, weakly waving a hand at her from the ground, as if bidding farewell.
Although it hadn't activated its Armament Haki yet, it had felt the existence of Haki within its body. It would awaken someday, so it was very grateful to Raiden Ei and genuinely wanted to become her subordinate.
Raiden Ei said, "Take care," and waved back at the Gorilla before turning towards the sea, showing no lingering attachment. Everyone has their own life; the world won't stop turning just because someone is gone.
Perhaps it was a bit cold-blooded, but no one suffers for a lifetime because of another person. Time erodes everything, just like bitter medicine—only through experiencing pain can one grow.
Raiden Ei looked at the boundless ocean, where she was about to set sail. She stepped onto the raft and drifted with the current. The surging waves made the raft rock violently.
Turning back, she watched the island grow farther away. She spotted a Gorilla on the shore, waved at it, and looked ahead with a determined gaze.
"Wishing myself smooth sailing. Departure!"
Thus, on the third day of arriving in this world, Raiden Ei set off on her voyage, piloting a raft.
Two days later,
On a large three-masted sailing ship, the sail displayed a skull pierced by two axes, with red patterns resembling blood painted around it. The same flag hung from the top of the mast.
On the deck, a group of pirates were reveling, drinking, eating meat, and singing loudly, fully enjoying the food they had just plundered.
They were the Silver Axe Pirate Crew, led by Captain Kuriya, with a bounty of twenty-eight million Berries, and First Mate Langqi, with a bounty of nineteen million Berries. There were also six Executive Officers, all pirates with bounties over one million, and over a hundred rank-and-file pirates below them.
They were one of the most notorious Pirate Crews in the East Blue, having committed countless acts of slaughtering villages, wiping out strongholds, and raiding towns. The East Blue Marines were helpless against them.
Just the previous night, they had raided a town garrisoned by a Marine Branch. They managed to escape the encirclement of the Marines who arrived later, even after losing over twenty pirates and two Executive Officers.
