Raiden Ei strolled along, slowly appreciating the scenery. The sea breeze seemed ceaseless, caressing her body, and the vast ocean gave her a feeling of freedom.
As the sea is wide enough for fish to leap and the sky high enough for birds to fly, Raiden Ei felt this way—wanting to do nothing but feel the sea breeze, bask in the sun, until eternity.
But this was impossible. The sea was not only calm; it could also stir up tsunamis. The breeze would not always blow gently; it could also bring storms.
Raiden Ei admired the beautiful scenery and sighed, "What a wonderful vision. But I will not stop either. Beings of this world, look forward to the arrival of your Thunder God. I will cleanse all evil and bring fair and just judgment to the world."
"Let this be my dream! I will fulfill it to the best of my ability in this world." On this day, she made a promise. Perhaps she would fail, perhaps she would give up due to hardship, perhaps she would forget her original intention, but at this moment, the belief named 'dream' had indeed taken root in her heart.
After a while, Raiden Ei retracted her gaze from the ocean. Recalling the passionate, chuunibyou-like declaration she had just made, she looked left and right. Seeing no one, she relaxed: "Phew... good thing this is an uninhabited island." Pretending nothing had happened, she continued walking toward the Gorilla tribe.
As she walked, Raiden Ei trained her Haki. She hadn't even mastered coating objects yet; she needed much practice. Now, she wanted to cover her clothes with Armament Haki so they wouldn't tear. Thus, she learned while walking, applying the knowledge of Armament Haki she had seen before crossing over to train herself.
Unknowingly, she entered the territory of the Gorillas. These Gorillas were also intelligent; they remembered how Raiden Ei had knocked them out with Conqueror's Haki.
They scattered like startled birds and beasts, completely unwilling to confront her. Some Gorillas even ran back to the cave to inform their chief.
Raiden Ei stopped when she saw the cave entrance. She really didn't want to get too close to it. Just as she was considering how to lure that Gorilla out, it ran out on its own first.
The Gorilla was still recovering from its injuries sustained from being beaten by the bipedal creature yesterday. It planned to eat well, drink well, and sleep for the next few days to heal completely before seeking revenge on that bipedal creature. It was not someone who would easily admit defeat; letting someone else be its boss? Dream on.
While it was still making threats, a subordinate ran over to bring it bad news: that bipedal creature was back? It immediately scrambled up from the ground, planting its four limbs firmly, and dashed out of the cave at high speed.
The Gorilla quickly arrived beside Raiden Ei. Its body, over three meters tall, looked like a small mountain next to her, making the contrast very obvious.
Raiden Ei didn't bother arguing with the big brute. She directly stated her intention: she wanted the Gorilla to attack with full force while she closed her eyes to practice dodging and familiarize herself with Observation Haki.
The Gorilla was also a simpleton. It said it understood and immediately began its attack. Its fists struck towards Raiden Ei like cannonballs, seemingly intending to shatter her into pieces, just as it had smashed the Stone previously.
Raiden Ei suddenly sensed danger approaching and involuntarily jumped away from the spot, leaving only empty ground where she stood. A large pit was smashed into the earth by the fist.
Raiden Ei frowned at the scene. Yesterday's Gorilla didn't have such destructive power. Why had the Gorilla become so strong today? Did people in this world get stronger just by being hit?
At this moment, Raiden Ei had no chance to ponder other things. She closed her eyes, covered her entire body, including her clothes, with Armament Haki to prevent being hit in case her Observation Haki failed.
She activated her Observation Haki, sensing everything around her and dodging accordingly, continuously learning how to use it.
One hour... two hours... As if feeling no fatigue, the two sides continuously attacked and dodged, leaving the area pitted and uneven, with the trees completely destroyed.
The Gorilla panted heavily and slammed its fist towards Raiden Ei. This had happened countless times. No matter how it attacked, it couldn't hit her. It seemed like she knew how it would attack and avoided it in advance.
But this time, something different happened. The Gorilla's fist was grasped by Raiden Ei. The Gorilla struggled forcefully but couldn't break free. Her hand held its fist firmly, like iron pincers.
Raiden Ei was also slightly breathless. Over the past two hours, she had first familiarized herself with Observation Haki and mastered it. Then, she had used extreme dodging to further train her Observation Haki.
Her Observation Haki became increasingly sharp under these conditions, and its range continued to expand. Her Armament Haki had not been interrupted during this process, and she had also learned coating.
Raiden Ei wrapped her Armament Haki around the furisode on her right hand. The furisode, which was originally incredibly soft, instantly became as hard as iron. She released her grip on the Gorilla's fist and swung her furisode forcefully at the Gorilla.
"Slap!"
The Gorilla was sent flying several meters away, lying on the ground, slightly questioning its existence. Had its entire life been lived in vain? It got up from the ground and looked at Raiden Ei with some confusion, seeming to want an explanation.
Raiden Ei looked at the disheveled Gorilla and did not hide anything. She walked over to it, placed her Armament Haki-covered hand on the Gorilla's arm, and let it feel this Haki. Perhaps this Gorilla could actually learn it.
Raiden Ei explained to the Gorilla, "This is Haki, a power possessed by every living being. It depends on whether you can awaken it. Feel it; otherwise, there won't be another chance."
"Roar!" The Gorilla didn't quite understand Raiden Ei's words, but it responded with a roar and carefully felt the Haki wrapped around her hand.
It sensed a peculiar aura on Raiden Ei's hand, but it couldn't guide the Haki belonging to its own body. It looked at her with somewhat fervent eyes, hoping she could help it awaken its Haki.
Raiden Ei was slightly puzzled: "What do you mean? Don't look at me like that."
Seeing that Raiden Ei didn't understand its meaning, the Gorilla pointed its large finger at her arm covered in Armament Haki.
Raiden Ei finally understood the Gorilla's meaning—it wanted her to teach it Haki. This made her feel awkward. She had only awakened her Haki today; how could she teach someone else to learn it? She searched her memory and found a method.
"You want to learn Haki, right? I can teach you right now, but it will hurt a bit. Bear with it. Consider it a benefit I'm giving you before I leave. Now, feel the Haki carefully."
Raiden Ei's arm was instantly covered with Armament Haki, and she struck towards the Gorilla.
