Harry stood in front of the mirror again.
Supervisor Daniel Clark instructed him calmly, "Look into the mirror."
Harry nodded immediately and stared at it.
After a few moments, something strange happened.
Just like the previous time, Harry felt his mind drifting away. Darkness surrounded his thoughts. He could no longer feel his body or sense the passage of time.
Everything became quiet and empty.
He had no idea how much time had passed.
Suddenly, he felt someone shaking him.
Harry snapped back to reality.
Supervisor Clark was standing in front of him.
"You alright?" Clark asked.
Harry blinked a few times before replying, "Yes, sir… sorry. I think I suddenly lost consciousness."
Supervisor Clark frowned slightly.
"It didn't look like that. You were just staring at the mirror with your eyes open the entire time."
Harry was shocked hearing that. He clearly remembered his mind going blank, almost like he had blacked out.
After a brief silence, Clark spoke again.
"The mirror didn't show any fragment trace. It seems you are not an Aetherbound."
He added politely, "Sorry to waste your time, Harry."
But Harry wasn't sad.
Instead, he actually felt relieved. After learning about Resonance Weapons, he had become curious about them and wanted to study them more.
Just then, Clark's communication device vibrated.
It was Principal Eleanor Graves.
After listening for a moment, Clark nodded.
"Yes, ma'am."
He ended the call and turned back toward Harry.
"The principal wants us to perform one more test. It's called the Fragment Repulsion Test."
Harry looked curious.
Supervisor Clark began explaining.
"This is the oldest method used to determine whether someone is an Aetherbound or not."
"The process is simple. An Aetherbound transfers a small amount of their energy into another person's body. If that person already has a fragment inside them, the energy will be repelled."
Harry listened carefully.
Clark continued.
"Fragments are made of the same type of energy. Think of it like magnets. If you try to push two magnets together with the same poles, they repel each other."
"In the same way, if a fragment already exists inside the body, it will reject the incoming energy."
Harry nodded, understanding the explanation.
Supervisor Clark gestured toward him.
"Turn around."
Harry did as he was told.
Clark then released a small amount of Aether energy into Harry's body.
At first, Harry didn't feel anything.
But after a few seconds, he felt a faint warmth spreading through his chest. It wasn't strong, but it was noticeable.
Supervisor Clark continued transferring energy for a few more seconds.
However, Harry's body showed no repulsion at all.
Clark finally stopped.
He stepped back and asked, "Did you feel any vibration around your heart?"
Harry shook his head.
"No, sir. I didn't feel anything like that. I just felt a little warmth around my chest… near my heart."
Clark paused.
He had never heard of that kind of reaction before.
But after thinking for a moment, he assumed it might simply be how non-Aetherbound individuals reacted to Aether energy.
After all, Aether was a natural energy that existed throughout the world.
Maybe it simply felt… familiar.
Clark nodded to himself and said, "Alright."
"I'll report the results to the principal."
He then left the room.
Harry was alone again.
His eyes slowly drifted toward the Resonance Weapon.
Curiosity filled his mind.
Ever since he learned about resonance weapons, a thought had been bothering him.
If there are resonance swords… could there also be resonance gauntlets?
Without thinking much, Harry stepped closer to the longsword again.
He gently touched the rune.
Suddenly—
The rune lit up brightly.
Harry immediately pulled his hand back in shock.
