Harry kept thinking about the strange things that had been happening to him. In his mind he concluded that if he wanted answers, he needed help from Professor Kael Ardent. After all, the professor was the first one who had tried to help him.
Harry took out the card and dialed the number written on it.
After a few seconds someone picked up. A female voice came from the other side.
"Hello?"
Harry replied politely, "Hello ma'am. I would like to speak with Professor Kael Ardent."
The woman responded, "I am Professor Ardent's assistant. May I know your name, sir?"
"My name is Harry. Please send my message to Professor Kael Ardent. It's urgent."
The assistant replied, "Please give me one minute. I will inform the professor."
After a short wait, the assistant returned to the call.
"Thank you for waiting, sir. I'm sending you an address. Professor Kael Ardent would like to meet you personally."
Harry felt relieved. He thanked the assistant and ended the call.
Within seconds he received the address.
He told his parents that he needed to meet his supervisor because of the class transfer. Then he took a cab and left.
After about twenty minutes, he reached the destination.
It was a coffee shop decorated beautifully with bright flowers and pictures of animals on the walls. The atmosphere felt warm and peaceful.
Harry entered the shop and quickly spotted Professor Kael Ardent sitting at a table in the corner of the last row.
He walked up to him and greeted respectfully.
"Good evening, Professor Kael Ardent. I'm sorry for calling you so late. It must have been inconvenient for you to come here."
The professor looked a little surprised but nodded calmly.
"No problem, Harry. Actually, I'm glad you called me. I will try my best to help you. But first, tell me what happened."
Harry sat down and explained everything.
He talked about the retest and also described the strange interaction he had with the resonance weapon.
Professor Kael Ardent listened attentively without interrupting.
Once Harry finished speaking, the professor sighed and asked, "Would you like to order something?"
Harry asked for mixed fruit juice, while Professor Kael Ardent ordered black coffee.
After a moment, the professor spoke in a serious tone.
"Harry, I will be honest with you. I have never heard of something like this in my life. I have witnessed many mysteries unfold, but your case is completely different."
Harry listened carefully.
The professor continued.
"First, a resonance weapon shining that brightly is extremely rare. It means the weapon directly reacted to magical energy."
Harry frowned slightly and asked, "Then why can't I use it?"
Professor Kael Ardent thought for a moment before answering.
"I believe your magic works differently. Normally, when someone unlocks their first ability, using magic becomes natural to them. But in your case, that didn't happen. We don't even know how your power functions."
Harry felt worried after hearing that.
"What should I do then? Should I ask the school for help?"
The professor nodded slowly.
"They can provide protection and assistance. However, there is a risk. Your information might leak. Some secret organizations are always looking for anomalies among people. They may even buy such information."
Harry's heart skipped a beat. The thought frightened him.
"Then… should I stop attending the fighting classes? I don't want to attract attention."
The professor's expression softened.
"Harry, you should focus on improving yourself. Right now, it doesn't matter whether you are Aetherbound or not. Just attend the fighting classes and do your best. If you ever need help, you can come to me."
Harry felt relieved and grateful.
"Thank you, Professor Kael Ardent."
After finishing his drink, Harry stood up, thanked the professor again, and left the café.
Professor Kael Ardent watched him walk away.
He sighed softly.
"That boy is different…"
He leaned back in his chair, deep in thought.
"I couldn't even detect him approaching me. I can normally sense heat signatures and feel the presence of people around me. But with Harry… I felt nothing."
He paused for a moment.
"Even during the Fragment Repulsion Test, his body didn't resist it. Instead, it reacted with warmth. This is truly unique. I have never heard of anything like it."
After thinking for a while, he spoke calmly.
"Assistant Mayra, we need to protect Harry. I cannot allow this boy to be exploited by this cruel world… the same way I was."
His expression darkened slightly.
"And I already paid the price… I lost my eyesight."
