Rewinding two minutes—right as Tatsumaki sat lost in thought, Ryū, still casually chatting in the group, suddenly saw a group mission notification pop up, covering over the entire chat interface.
His expression froze for a beat, and he muttered to himself in surprise, "How long's it actually been since the last group mission? And now another one just showed up? Wonder if this one's rewards can even compare to last time."
Of course, he knew perfectly well that particular hope was probably wishful thinking. The last group mission had paid out well over a hundred thousand Points—a haul that generous probably only came around once every few decades, if that.
Clicking into the notification, he went straight for the reward details first, setting the actual mission content aside for the moment.
Sure enough, his wishful thinking turned out to be exactly that—this round's rewards fell well short of last time's.
Still, not bad at all, all things considered. Adding it all up, the total came to roughly 35,000 Points—definitely worth putting in the effort to secure a spot.
"And the mission world this time is...wait, seriously? You've got to be kidding me. A world as dangerous as Dragon Ball, and it only takes FOUR members, with a reward of just 35,000 Points total?"
Ryū's expression shifted dramatically the moment his attention landed on the mission details, and he'd spotted the words "Dragon Ball" printed clearly on the screen.
That was exactly why his reaction had turned so dramatic—this genuinely caught him off guard.
Out of every world represented in the Dimensional Chat Group, ranking exactly which was the single most dangerous might be a tough call across the board, but the Dragon Ball world was undeniably near the very top of that list.
After all, the powerhouses in that world didn't even treat entire planets as planets—more like marbles they could crush on a whim, and some of the strongest among them practically made a habit of shattering planets for sport.
And yet, a world this genuinely terrifying had just triggered a group mission.
With a reward of only a measly 35,000 Points, and a cap of just four participants.
Was this seriously not some kind of joke?
Or maybe the mission's actual difficulty wasn't nearly as hellish as he'd assumed?
This time, Ryū didn't skim. He read through every single word of the mission details, thoroughly, from start to finish.
He didn't trust himself not to get worked up over incomplete information if he kept reading it hastily.

Only two group missions this time, but neither one looked particularly easy.
The first one was manageable enough—two transmigrators, only 5,000 Points combined between them, which strongly implied that even having been assimilated into "demon-kind," their combat strength probably wasn't anything special.
There was really no way they could be all that powerful; otherwise, the reward surely wouldn't have capped out at a measly 5,000 Points.
If these two rule-breaking transmigrators had been even a little stronger, the reward probably would've cleared five figures easily.
Then again, there was another possibility worth considering: maybe those two transmigrators weren't actually weak at all, and the reward just looked small because the Dimensional Chat Group itself had gotten considerably stronger overall since the mission-scaling was last calibrated.
That explanation made plenty of sense too. Think of the chat group like a character in some game—say, starting out at Level 10, killing Level 5-to-10 monsters would net decent rewards. Even a Level 5 mob might drop something like 5,000 XP.
But if that same character had since leveled up to 20, killing that exact same Level 5 mob now would give noticeably reduced XP, all in the name of "game balance."
Which meant the current situation was probably exactly that—the two transmigrators might genuinely be strong enough to rank as ordinary Marine Admiral-tier in the One Piece world.
But compared to the Dimensional Chat Group's current overall standard, "ordinary Marine Admiral-tier"...
Might sound a little harsh, honestly, but at this point, ordinary Marine Admiral-tier basically reads as bottom-of-the-barrel within the chat group.
Forget top five—that tier probably wouldn't even crack the top fifteen at this point.
And keep in mind, the Dimensional Chat Group currently only had twenty-one members total.
As for the second mission—killing or sealing King Piccolo—that reward was substantially more generous than the first, a full 30,000 Points.
Wait, was Dragon Ball's actual first canonical boss, King Piccolo, really that much of a pushover?
Only worth 30,000 Points?
"Right, if I remember correctly, King Piccolo's power level was somewhere around 260-something. Can't remember if that's baseline or his full-power desperation state, though. Something in the low 200s wouldn't be nearly enough to blow up a planet in one hit in the Dragon Ball world, would it?"
"Wait, that can't be right! Master Roshi's fully-charged, clothes-torn-off Kamehameha canonically blew up the moon—so why did the original story specifically have him use the Evil Containment Wave, a technique that costs your own life, against King Piccolo instead? Does the Dragon Ball world's moon just have unusually low HP, or something? Or maybe it's about charge time—worried King Piccolo would kill him instantly mid-charge?"
Ryū's mouth twitched slightly. Who knew why canon-Roshi actually went with the Evil Containment Wave there?
Roshi in full "clothes-torn-off" mode probably packed well over 200 power, likely even higher than King Piccolo's own.
The reason canon used the Containment Wave instead of the moon-busting technique was probably that the moon-busting move required a charge-up window, and charging mid-fight risked getting one-shotted by King Piccolo before it went off.
Or maybe the Dragon Ball world's moon was just built differently from every other world's moon he'd encountered—being so close to Earth, maybe it only looked comparably sized to moons in other worlds while actually being much smaller/weaker in substance?
Or maybe Roshi was just sick of living and decided to play the sacrificial hero for dramatic effect.
Or maybe the Dragon Ball world's moon genuinely just had fragile "HP."
Or maybe—simplest explanation of all—Akira Toriyama just hadn't thought that hard about the internal consistency of it all.
Because if he remembered right, Dragon Ball, before the Saiyan arc kicked in, had basically been running as a straight-up comedy manga.
Trying to hold a comedy manga to rigorous internal logic and pick apart its "plot holes" was really just setting yourself up for disappointment.
Then again, there was also the possibility that Roshi's moon-busting feat was purely an anime-original addition, never actually in the manga.
Ryū had only ever watched the anime, never read the manga, so he honestly couldn't say for sure either way.
Shaking off the jumble of stray thoughts, Ryū took a few screenshots of the mission details.
He posted them straight to the Dimensional Chat Group, tagging the entire membership.
