"You recognize it."

"My nightmares."
Victor leaned closer to the screen.

Meherin's heart pounded.
"You kidnapped me and called it a home?"
The Director tilted her head slightly.
"It was a research facility."
Ryan's voice turned dangerously quiet.
"You experimented on her."
The Director didn't deny it.
"Yes."
The Hidden Purpose
The screens zoomed into one of the laboratory rooms.
A large glass chamber stood in the center.
Inside it were rows of digital monitors and medical devices.
Adrian's expression darkened.
"I remember this room."
Ryan looked at him sharply.
"You've been there?"
Adrian nodded.
"They trained me in that facility."
Daniel whispered,
"So that's where they created the Founder elites."
The Director corrected him calmly.
"No."
"That is where we created something much more important."
Her eyes turned toward Meherin.
"You."
The Truth About the Experiments
Ryan's fists clenched instantly.
"You're insane."
The Director ignored him.
"Your parents were extraordinary strategists."
"They understood human psychology better than anyone."
Meherin whispered,
"They tried to stop you."
The Director nodded.
"Yes."
"But before they betrayed us…"
"They shared something remarkable."
Ryan frowned.
"What?"
The Director answered slowly.
"A theory."
She paused before continuing.
"A person trained under extreme pressure from childhood could develop extraordinary decision-making abilities."
Victor muttered softly,
"A living weapon."
The Director nodded.
"Exactly."
Meherin's Role
Meherin felt her stomach twist.
"You turned me into an experiment."
The Director replied calmly.
"You survived."
"You adapted."
"You grew stronger."
Ryan's voice shook with rage.
"She was a child."
The Director's tone never changed.
"And now she is the most powerful strategic mind we have ever seen."
Meherin stepped closer to the screen.
"I will destroy everything you built."
The Director looked almost amused.
"That is exactly why you are perfect."
The Resistance Leader Appears
Suddenly another voice came through the control room speakers.
"Enough talking."
Everyone turned.
The control room door slowly opened.
Several armed resistance fighters entered.
And at the center of them stood a tall man with a calm expression.
Daniel immediately straightened.
"Commander."
Ryan studied the man carefully.
"You're the resistance leader."
The man nodded slightly.
"My name is Arman Reyes."
Victor smiled faintly.
"So the rebels finally show their leader."
Arman ignored the sarcasm.
Instead, his eyes focused on Meherin.
"You're the one they've been trying to control."
Meherin nodded slowly.
"Yes."
Arman spoke calmly.
"We've been fighting the Founders for twenty years."
Ryan asked,
"Why come now?"
Arman answered simply.
"Because you finally broke their system."
The Plan to Destroy the Founders
Arman walked toward the screens.
"That laboratory you see…"
He pointed toward the underground facility.
"…is the heart of the Founder network."
Adrian frowned.
"You mean their central command."
Arman nodded.
"If we destroy that facility, their entire power structure collapses."
Daniel added quietly,
"That's why we've been trying to find it."
Ryan crossed his arms.
"And now we know where it is."
Arman nodded again.
"Yes."
Then he looked directly at Meherin.
"But there's a problem."
The Terrifying Discovery
Arman activated another file on the screen.
Several medical reports appeared.
Ryan's eyes narrowed.
"What is this?"
Arman answered quietly.
"Her experiment results."
Meherin felt a chill run through her body.
Ryan read the files quickly.
His expression changed instantly.
"What the hell…"
Meherin looked at him.
"What is it?"
Ryan hesitated.
Arman spoke instead.
"The Founders didn't just train you."
"They changed you."
Meherin's heart stopped.
"…changed me?"
Arman nodded slowly.
"They altered parts of your neurological responses."
Victor whistled softly.
"So she really is their masterpiece."
Ryan whispered,
"They modified your brain."
Ryan's Fear
Meherin felt the ground beneath her shaking.
"You're saying I'm not normal."
Arman answered calmly.
"No."
"You are far beyond normal."
Ryan grabbed the report again.
His voice became tense.
"This says she has enhanced predictive analysis."
Adrian nodded.
"That explains why she always seems two steps ahead."
Meherin whispered,
"They made me into a strategist."
Arman replied quietly,
"Yes."
"And that's why the Director will never stop chasing you."

Suddenly the Director's voice returned through the speakers.

Ryan glared at the screens.

The Director smiled faintly.
"I know."
Then she looked directly at Meherin.

"What do you mean?"

"It's where the next version is waiting."
Ryan froze.
"Next version?"
The Director's eyes turned colder.
"Yes."
"Another experiment."
"One that will replace you if you fail."
The screens suddenly showed the image of a young woman inside a glass chamber.
And she looked terrifyingly similar to Meherin.
