Chapter 9 - (A note from Saruman.)

Chapter nine:

Travis has been following the Fellowship of the Ring for hours now. The ride was absolutely boring at times, a pain in the butt. It was hard following the fellowship, especially when they were constantly checking their surrounding's to make sure no one was following them. But, Travis managed to stay out of sight anyway. However, staying near them was difficult. Legolas was constantly checking behind them, to make sure they weren't being followed and he was always on his guard. Does he ever stop and rest?

The Fellowship of the Ring ended up stopping for a rest. They stopped in a fairly open place, that had big boulders and small plants. It was difficult for Travis to get near them since the land was pretty open. So, he had to stay pretty far back. Travis had to rely on his tracks, so he could pursue them when they were on the move again.

He watched the fellowship from where he was. He saw Gandalf the Gray smoking his pipe, while he sat on top of the boulders. Gimil, was even discussing matters with him. Frodo was eating some food with one of the other hobbits. And the other two hobbits had swords in their hands while one of the men taught them how to fight. Aragon, simply corrected the two hobbits while he smoked his pipe as well.

Travis looked at Legolas. He saw him hopping boulder to boulder, making sure no danger was near. He admired his cautiousness, but at the same time he hated it. If he would just stop, then Travis could get his hands on the ring and all of this would end. But, he knew that wasn't going to happen. Travis stared at Legolas from the distance.

He then snapped out of it when he heard a noise coming from behind him. He turned around and saw the crows from Dunland. The crows were scouts for Saruman himself. Travis did not like Saruman at all. There is something about the man that he disliked so much.

One of the crows flew down to him. So Travis held out his arm and let the bird land on his arm. He saw that there was a note attached to the crows leg, so Travis took the note out of it's holster and began reading the note.

(You are needed in Isengard. Your father's orders. We need to discuss some things - Saruman.)

After reading the note, Travis crumbled it up and threw it down on the ground. He looked at the crow, who was still standing on his arm. He couldn't just leave to go to Isengard. He needed to follow the fellowship, so he could retrieve the ring. Then, he got an idea. The fellowship doesn't want to be known yet, which means that they will do anything to keep out of sight.

"Fly straight and head back to Isengard." Said Travis.

The crow flew in the direction of the fellowship, so that they would be scared in taking the Cardhras pass. Once they take the Cardhras pass, Travis knew that they would travel to the elvish city of Lorien.

"Come now Sadron, we must ride to Isengard." Replied Travis.

Travis turned Sadron in the direction of Isengard and galloped off. He needed to hurry to Isengard, so that he could catch up with the Fellowship of the Ring.
