For several seconds, neither Camille nor Dante moved.
The message remained on the screen.
You never finished the story, Dante.
Camille stared at it.
Then at him.
"That's impossible."
Dante didn't answer.
His eyes remained fixed on the phone.
Adrian's voice came through the speaker.
"Dante?"
"Stay on the line."
"I'm here."
Dante's jaw tightened.
"Freeze the account."
"Already done."
"Can you trace the transaction?"
"I'm trying."
Camille stepped closer.
"Why would someone transfer money into my account?"
Dante finally looked at her.
"To make it look like you stole it."
Her stomach dropped.
"But Richard is in custody."
"Yes."
"Julian is cooperating."
"Yes."
"Cassandra knows everything."
"Yes."
She shook her head.
"Then who?"
Dante didn't answer.
Adrian suddenly spoke.
"I've got something."
Dante turned toward the phone.
"What?"
"The transfer wasn't recent."
Camille frowned.
"What do you mean?"
