Chapter 8 - A Rank That Shoul Not Fail

Jinha smiled faintly.

"Yes… you're right. I was thinking the same thing."

At that moment—

Knock. Knock.

"May I come in?" the doctor's voice sounded from outside.

Jeigan quickly turned toward the door.

"Yes, of course, doctor. Please come in."

The doctor entered the room with a relaxed smile.

"Well, well… you look completely fine now," he said while examining Jinha. "You seem healthy and stable."

Jinha nodded politely.

"Yes, doctor. You're right. I feel much better now. Thank you very much."

The doctor waved his hand.

"There's no need to thank me again."

He pointed toward Jeigan.

"You should thank your boyfriend instead."

Jinha froze.

"B-Boyfriend?"

Inside her mind, her thoughts immediately went wild.

Jeigan… my boyfriend…?

Her cheeks turned slightly red.

Before she could say anything, Jeigan quickly interrupted.

"No, doctor. There's been a misunderstanding."

"We're just friends… right, Jinha?"

Jinha immediately nodded.

"Y-Yes… that's right."

"We're just friends."

The doctor laughed awkwardly.

"Alright, alright. Sorry about that."

"I was just joking."

He then looked at Jinha again.

"So tell me, Miss Jinha. Would you like to stay admitted here today, or would you prefer to go home?"

Jinha shook her head.

"No, I'd like to go home today."

"I don't really like staying here for too long."

"Alright then," the doctor said.

"I'll give you one last medicine and write a prescription."

He quickly wrote something down on a paper.

"Here."

"You can buy the rest of the medicine from outside."

Jeigan stepped forward.

"Doctor, please give it to me. I'll go buy the medicine right away."

Jinha smiled slightly.

"Okay then. I'll get changed and ready."

Jeigan nodded.

"Alright."

He walked out of the room.

The doctor handed Jinha a small cup.

"Here. Drink this medicine."

Jinha took it and drank quickly.

The moment she swallowed—

Her face twisted.

"Ugh… that's really bitter."

The doctor chuckled.

"Well, medicine usually is."

Then he looked at her curiously.

"By the way, Miss Jinha… which university are you from?"

"I study at Dayson University," she replied.

The doctor nodded.

"Oh, I've heard a lot about that place."

"It's a very prestigious university."

He paused for a moment.

"Now tell me honestly."

"How exactly did you lose consciousness earlier?"

Jinha sighed softly.

"Alright… I'll tell you."

"I tried to touch Jeigan's soul."

The doctor raised an eyebrow.

"And?"

"The moment I tried to touch it… an unbearable pressure entered my body."

She looked slightly shaken while remembering it.

"It felt like millions of worlds were collapsing on top of me at the same time."

"I can't even describe how terrifying that feeling was."

The doctor rubbed his chin.

"I see…"

"Maybe it happened because your Deal Rank isn't high enough."

Jinha shook her head immediately.

"No, doctor."

"My Deal Rank is DS++."

The doctor's eyes widened in shock.

"W-What?!"

"That's an extremely high rank!"

He stared at her in disbelief.

"I can't believe someone so young could have such a high dealer rank."

Jinha smiled slightly.

"If you don't believe me, I can show you."

She raised her hand calmly.

"Eighteen Queens Armor…"

A faint energy formed around her body.

"Eighteen Garment — Deal Accepted."

A beautiful armor-like aura appeared around her for a brief moment.

Jinha lowered her hand.

"Do you believe me now?"

The doctor looked stunned.

"Yes… I do."

"I've never seen such a young high-rank dealer before."

"That's why I couldn't believe it at first."

He bowed his head slightly.

"I'm sorry."

Jinha shook her head gently.

"No, it's fine. There's no need to apologize."

"You're not the first person who didn't believe me."

"Even my friends didn't believe me at first."

"But later they found out the truth."

The doctor crossed his arms, thinking deeply.

"But this only raises another question…"

"If someone as powerful as you lost consciousness…"

He looked toward the door where Jeigan had left.

"Then what kind of soul does Mr. Jeigan possess…?"

His expression slowly turned serious.
