Chapter 25 - the counterstrike

Aurora's control room was silent.

Too silent.

After the attack…

Everyone was waiting.

For Kiara's next move.

She stood in front of the main screen.

Calm.

Focused.

Dangerous.

"Trace complete?" she asked.

"Yes, ma'am. VK Holdings confirmed."

Kiara smirked faintly.

"Good."

Aarav stepped beside her.

"What's the plan?"

Kiara looked at him.

This time—

No walls.

"Attack back."

Within minutes—

Commands were being executed.

"Reverse the transaction chain."

"Freeze their offshore accounts."

"Leak their internal data."

Every order from Kiara was sharp.

Precise.

Aarav added calmly—

"And reroute their funds into a legal trap."

The team stared.

Impressed.

Because together—

They were unstoppable.

Across the city—

In his office—

Vikram Khanna's screen suddenly flashed.

His accounts froze.

Access denied.

Data breach detected.

For the first time—

His smile faded.

"Interesting…"

Back at Aurora—

A staff member spoke nervously—

"Ma'am… media is picking this up."

Kiara didn't even blink.

"Let them."

Aarav looked at her.

"You're making this public?"

Kiara's lips curved slightly.

"I'm making it loud."

Just then—

A familiar voice echoed behind them.

"Impressive."

Both turned.

Arjun Mehra stood there.

Clapping slowly.

Aarav's expression hardened instantly.

"What are you doing here?"

Arjun smiled.

"Watching."

Kiara stepped forward.

"You shouldn't be here."

Arjun's gaze softened slightly.

"I go where the chaos is."

Aarav moved closer to Kiara.

Protective.

Deliberate.

"Stay away from her."

Arjun chuckled.

"You still think this is about you?"

Then he looked at Kiara.

"And you still think you're in control?"

The tension rose again.

Suddenly—

Another voice cut in.

"Well… this is getting crowded."

All three turned.

Alisha.

Standing at the entrance.

Watching everything.

Her eyes went straight to—

Kiara and Aarav.

Standing together.

Close.

United.

Her jaw tightened.

"So this is what's going on."

Kiara didn't react.

Aarav didn't move.

But Alisha saw it clearly.

He wasn't standing with Kiara.

He was standing for her.

And that—

That changed everything.

Back at the screen—

A notification flashed.

VK Holdings: 47% Loss

Kiara's eyes darkened.

Aarav smirked slightly.

"First hit."

Kiara nodded.

"Not the last."

Across the city—

Vikram Khanna stood still.

Watching his empire shake.

And for the first time—

He looked serious.

"Alright…"

He whispered.

"Let's see how far you can go."

Because now—

This wasn't just a fight.

It was a battle of power.

Of past.

Of control.

And only one side—

Would survive.
