CHAPTER 43: THE BEYOND GATE
The journey inside the portal was like a dream. Time and space seemed to have lost their identity. Outside the interceptor ship, space was not normal; thousands of binary codes shimmered like falling stars. Sometimes they transformed into streams of data... sometimes they vanished abruptly. A slight vibration could be felt within the ship.
Then, suddenly—the ship stopped with a violent jolt. Iris looked at the navigation screen, her voice dropping low. "We… have arrived".
The scene ahead caused everything to fall silent for a moment. In the middle of dark space stood a massive floating gate. It was not made of metal; it was composed of pure white light and blue data-streams. Around the gate stood thousands of floating pillars, arranged like the guardians of an ancient temple.
Iris whispered, "This is it… The Beyond Gate".
Kael spoke softly, "And these pillars?".
Iris began the scan. Seconds later, the screen turned red. "These are no ordinary structures… they are Cosmic Obelisks". As the ship neared the gate, the surfaces of all the Obelisks suddenly began to glow, emitting a red light.
Kael looked out the window. "They… are watching us".
Iris screamed, "These are not Obelisks! They are the Architect's Orbital Sentinels!".
Immediately, a warning flashed in the ship's system:
[WARNING: EXTERNAL BREACH DETECTED]
[COUNTER-MEASURE ACTIVATED]
DATA-DELETION RAY CHARGING
A massive red energy beam slowly began to build toward the ship. Captain Zero immediately took control. "Aryan! We'll be hit in a matter of seconds!".
But Aryan was calm. He slowly rotated his finger. The Sudarshan Chakra attached to the front of the ship suddenly began to spin rapidly. "Sudarshan Chakra…" Aryan said in a low but clear voice, "Decode and Destroy".
In the next instant, the Chakra detached from the ship. It raced through space at lightning speed. However, it was not colliding with the Obelisks; it was circling them. As it passed by an Obelisk, the pillar would suddenly begin to digital-glitch. Then… it would format and turn into data-dust.
Kael watched in astonishment. "It isn't even touching them…".
Aryan replied, "Because it doesn't cut through matter. It cuts through the Logic upon which the Architect's system is built".
Within seconds, dozens of Orbital Sentinels were scattered into space. The Sudarshan Chakra returned and began spinning in front of the ship again. But then, a disturbance occurred in the center of the Beyond Gate. A massive transparent figure emerged from within—it looked like an ancient sage, but its body was made entirely of data-light.
Iris scanned it immediately. "It's some kind of Guardian program… a Sub-Routine of the Architect".
The figure's voice echoed through space: "Subject-01…".
Aryan's eyes narrowed. "So the Architect knew we were coming".
The figure spoke, "Behind this gate lies a truth you will not be able to endure. Turn back".
Silence fell for a few seconds. Then Aryan spoke in a calm voice, "No one will turn back from the truth now".
Aryan's S-01 tattoo began to glow, and the golden energy it released merged directly into the Sudarshan Chakra. The Chakra grew even larger as it slowly moved toward the center of the Beyond Gate. A complex structure appeared in the middle of the gate, resembling a Quantum Sri Yantra.
Aryan shouted, "Iris! The frequency code for the center!".
Iris typed furiously, her screen flashing. "Found it! The code is—00-VOID-SHUNYA!".
Aryan activated the code. The Sudarshan Chakra embedded itself into the center of the gate. Suddenly, a massive white light erupted, and the Beyond Gate slowly began to open.
As the gate opened, everyone was stunned by the sight behind it. It was not a heaven; it was a massive, black, swirling Core. Around it, the data-flow of thousands of planets rotated. The entire area looked like a Cosmic Processing Engine.
Iris's voice grew faint. "This… this looks like the data-node for the entire universe".
Aryan took a deep breath. "This is it… The Ancient Core. The Architect's true stronghold".
But as their ship entered through the gate, the Beyond Gate behind them suddenly closed. The portal had vanished entirely. Kael looked back. "Now… there is no way back".
Aryan looked at the swirling Ancient Core ahead, a golden light shining in his eyes. "We didn't come here to go back. We came here… to end this war".
In the darkness of space, the Ancient Core began to spin even faster. And somewhere in its depths, the Architect had awakened.
