While I was crying, I heard someone was about to enter the room because of the screeching wood sounds that kept getting louder the closer they got.
As I opened my eyes and then wiped away my tears of joy and looniness, I saw that there was a fall female succubus standing in the doorway in front of me.
"I am here to tell you that you both need to come at the gathering of the elite students. They will all be gathered in the only classroom that we have for the elite students of The Dark Academy. I also think that you should know that this meeting is mandatory. Of you do not show up then that will be a mark against you.
Also, your slaves will be taking their own courses while you are taking this mandatory meeting.
That is all that I have to say to you Dark Empress. I hope that you will continue to put on a good show for us." I heard her say as she walked away with amount of force in each of her steps that demanded respect the more that I watched her.
"Well, we do not want to be late. It would be horrible if we were late on the very day as members of the elite." I heard my roommate say from the hallway and she grabbed my arm and pulled me down the hallway.
It was somewhat frustrating how much my roommate was about doing everything by the book. I always wished that she would bend or break the rules occasionally.
She pulled me all the way to the only classroom in the building which was on the third floor of the building.
The inside of the room had four rows of desks for the students to sit in and there was a podium at the back of the back of the room for the professor to use to display whatever they are teaching. There was a total of eight different students that were grouped up into four different pairs.
"So, these are the other elite school members. All that I can say is that I was expecting more". I said with an evil and smirky grin across my face.
As soon as I made that statement everyone stared at me with glares that felt as sharp as brand-new daggers that had not seen battle yet.
"Oh Sophia, why did you have to make enemies on the first day of our lives as elite students of The Academy of the Dark Arts." My roommate said in a shuddered tone as if she was trying to calm the current intense mood of the room.
"I do not care what they think about me. They branded me The Dark Empress so I will both act and live as one because I will climb my way to the top of the school. It does not matter to me who I must trample to get there because the end always justifies the means." I said as I confidently walked down the stairs and made it to one of the empty chairs.
"Do not think that just because you were the student who rose through the ranks of the school the quickest that does not make you special in anyway.
Everyone that you see in this room are children of the different demon kings or queens. That means that no matter what you do, you will be inferior to us. Just think about it you are not even an original member of the dark races. You are a mere blood elf." A tall young male demon said to me as soon as I set down.
Then after they spoke the insult, I noticed that my roommate stood up and very aggressively walked towards the man who made the insult.
"I do not care that you chose to insult my roommate, but anyone who dares to even think that the race blood elves is an inferior one will meet the end of my fist!" I heard her exclaim as she threw a focused right hook at the cocky male demon.
"That is enough from both of you." I heard a young male voice say as I saw him suddenly showed up in between my roommate and her intended target.
He had stopped it with only two fingers. The fact that he could do something like that with only two fingers told me that he was someone that I should pay attention to if I was going to ever achieve my goal of climbing the ladder of the school and kill the members of my race that betrayed me.
"Did you see that. I wonder how strong he must be able to stop attacks that powerful?" one of the other students said as the attacks were so simply stopped.
Then after the attack was stopped the man began to walk to the podium of the room and talk.
"So, if you have not guessed yet, but I am your teacher for this year my name is Count Rafinse, and if it has not become obvious yet I am the head of one of the great demon households." He said to all of us as he made his way to the back of the room.
All the students took their seats as he started to talk.
"Now normally we allow our elite students to do almost anything that they want, but right now we are going to need to get everyone ready for the regional class events with the classes of the Holy Region.
This event will be held in the neutral region inside of a human city since it will not give either side a huge advantage during the event. Also, as the elite students of our school each of you will be representing the entire Dark Region so do your absolute best.
The event will begin tomorrow and you will only have until we all meet at the barrier to prepare. You will be allowed only one of your slaves with you on this trip.
You are all free to go and get prepared now, but remember that you must make the journey there alone. If you cannot make a simple trip alone you will not ever make it as an elite member of our society because we will not tolerate weakness." I heard Count Rafinse say in a joyful tone as if he was looking forward to what was coming next. "But I need to talk to you personally after everyone else leaves Sophia."
"I will meet you in our room and I will discuss something with you when I get back." I told my roommate as I saw that she had a concerned look on her face after the teacher spoke.
She nodded at me and then walked out of the classroom.
"Now that we are alone, I can talk to you but to be safe let me do something". He said as I saw him generate a barrier made from dark red magical energy. "Sorry we can never be too careful, you never know who might be listening in on our conversation."
"Now that your counter measures have been put in place what was it that you wanted to talk to me in private about?" I asked in a concerned tone.
"Well, I thought that you wanted to know that there are a few people who are not pleased that you have climbed to the rank of the elite students. After all some of us still remember that you are the female Blood Elf that was going to get married to Demon Lord Carvus."
"How did you know about who I was?" I asked out of surprise at what he had just said.
"The truth is that I was a personal adviser to Demon Lord Carvus. He told me all about you and I also was the person who planned the event that caused his life to end." He said in a depressed tone as I saw him lower his head showing me that he clearly shamed at his failure.
"You can rise. You do not need to bow to me I am no longer the betrothed of Lord Carvas. When he was assassinated, I lost both the title and power that I was going to receive as his wife." I said to him as I grabbed him by the chin and lifted his head up.
"With the death of my master I am my entire clan wish to swear our loyalty to you, and with our help you can climb the ladder to become The Dark Empress." He said to me in very submissive tone.
What he was offering me fit my plans perfectly. I would use his house to achieve my climb to the top, and I was unsure of his loyalty to me. After some thought I came with the perfect solution to ensure his loyalty to me.
"I will except you and your household under me only if you agree to signing a blood contract. Under the effects of this type of contract if any member of your family were to ever betray me in anyway, they will die and become part of a unique skill of mine called Blood Army." I said to him in a very serious tone.
