Chapter 9 - The First Confrontation

Leera and Nayza reached the university together.

The moment they stepped into the classroom, there eyes instinctively moved toward Erhaan's seat.

Empty. Not just him, Huru wasn't there either.

Across the room, Huru was laughing with her group of friends, completely unbothered.

Nayza's expression hardened slightly, she turned to Leera. "I'm going to talk to him."

Leera frowned. "Now."

Nayza nodded. "You stay here. And if Doruk or Yesir come. Don't tell them anything."

Leera hesitated For a second, then sighed, "Fine. But if things get out of hand, call me."

Nayza gave a small nod, " I will."

Without wasting another second. She walked out. The corridors were half-Empty, the usual noice echoing faintly through the walls. Her steps were quick. Sharp, focused. She needed to find him. Just then, a boy from her class walked toward her.

Nayza stopped him, "Have you seen Erhaan?"

The boy nodded."Yeah. He's in one of the empty classroom. Alone."

That was enough, Nayza didn't wait. She turned and headed straight in that direction. The door of the classroom was slightly open. She pushed it gently, and there he was.

Standing near the window, looking outside. Lost in his own thoughts. For a moment, she just stood there. Watching him. Then, she stepped forward, "Erhaan!"

He turned.

And the second his eyes met hers, her fist collided with his face. The sound echoed in the empty room. Sharp. Sudden. The force of the punch was enough to make him stumble slightly, blood instantly touched his lips.

Nayza didn't move, didn't step back. Her eyes burned with anger, "You know exactly why that was," she said coldly.

Erhaan slowly lifted his gaze, looked onto hers. His jaw tightened. His eyes dark, unblinking. Silence stretched between them. Heavy, dangerous. Then, without breaking his eye contact. He lifted his hand, touched the blood at his lips. And before she could react, he stepped closer. His fingers brushed against her lips. Smearing the blood Across them, Nayza froze for a split second.

Then, immediately pushed his hand away. "Stay away from me. You idiot," she snapped, her voice Sharp. "And if you ever try something like that again..."

She stepped closer, eyes locked into his, "You know exactly what will happen."

A beat.

Then she turned, and walked away. Without looking back, Erhaan didn't stop her, didn't say a word. He just stood there, watching her leave. Something unreadable in his eyes. The corner of his lip still bleeding. But this time, he didn't wipe it away.

By the time Nayza returned, the class was about to begin. Students had already started settling into their seats.

Doruk had jus arrived, his eyes scanned the room. Until they landed on Erhaan, without hesitation. He started walking toward him.

"Where are you going?" Nayza asked, stopping him.

"To talk to him," Doruk replied, his voice tense.

"About what?"

"I'll tell you later."

Before she could stop him, he had already moved ahead.

Doruk reached Erhaan's desk.

Huru was sitting there, asking to Erhaan, " bandage? What happened?"

"Ugh... it's nothing." Erhaan replied, in heavy voice.

Doruk stood there.

Silent.

When Huru looked at Doruk, she thought,

It would be hard to choose between him and Erhaan.

Doruk,

"You're on my radar now," he said, his voice low but firm.

"One more mistake. And you'll see what happens."

Erhaan leaned back slightly.

A faint, dangerous smile forming, "Is that so?"

He tilted his head just a little. "Then let me tell you something too..."

His gaze sharpend, "Stop sitting with Nayza."

A pause.

"Or what happend next..." He let the words hang, "I don't even know."

Doruk's fists clenched, He stepped forward. About to say something. But just then, the classroom door opened, "Good morning, everyone," the teacher said, walking in.

"Take your seats."

Doruk exhaled sharply, stepped back. And returned to his place.

As he turned.

Erhaan's smile lingered, watching him. Slow. Knowing.

Everyone settled down. The lecture began.

Nayza glanced at Doruk, "What happened?"

"Nothing," he replied, forcing a small smile.

"Just... not in the mood after yesterday."

Nayza studied him for a second. Then said quietly, "It's okay. Forget it."

A pause.

"Let's just focus today."

Doruk nodded, "Yeah... okay." But the smile didn't reach his eyes.

Nayza sighed softly, "Let's see." She murmured.

But deep down, she already knew. Nothing was going to be normal anymore.
