Arriving at an abandoned warehouse the sounds of swords rang out, Kiba and Xenovia battling against a familiar opponent
"Holy shit is that Freed" thought Blaze
"FREED YOU BASTARD, HOW DARE YOU ATTACK IRINA LIKE THAT" roared Xenovia as she pounced at him
"Oh I'm sorry, please forgive me" Freed replied with a mocking voice "she was just so trusting and kind that I couldn't help but stab her in the back, it's what she deserves for fraternizing with devils" he smiled "show me your back and I'll let you join her" he laughed manically
"WHY, WHY DID YOU BETRAY US!?" Xenovia shouted as she locked swords with him
"Wait, the other priest that was with the church trio was Freed! In the anime it's just a random guy who dies to Freed, things are changing more and more from what I know" pondered Blaze
"Because I'm done playing all goody two shoes with theses devils" Freed spat "the only reason I was a part of that stupid organisation until this point was because it meant I could get my hands on one of these babies" he smiled, another one of the Excalibur's shining in his hands "and my new boss offered me 2 more and the chance to get a third, maybe even a fourth if I could take you and that other girl out so now I'm rocking 4 Excalibur's, and with them I can fight and kill even stronger devils" he laughed, licking his lips
"New boss, who are you talking about? answer me" Xenovia cried out
"Freed, are you not done yet" came a voice from behind him
"Old man Valper, you're still here?" Freed questioned "give me a few more minutes and I'll get you another Excalibur and get to finish off this little knight as well" he said as Kiba lunged at him from the shadows "2 birds with one stone" he cackled as he pushed Xenovia away and locked blades with Kiba instead
"VALPER GALILEI!" roared Kiba
"Do I know you" Valper replied
"I was one of the test subjects for the holy sword project!" Kiba answered, venom and spite dripping from his words "don't you dare tell me you don't remember me"
"Ah yes one of the ingredients we used" Valper commented offhandedly "more importantly, Freed, we need to go, our boss is waiting for us"
"Seems like you get let off for now" Freed said pushing back and jumping to Valper's side "keep those necks warm for me you two, or don't I don't really care what tempreture they are as they will soon be sliced through by me" Freed laughed as he used a light grenade to blind everyone in order to make his escape
"GET BACK HERE" roared Kiba as he took off after them
"FREED!" shouted Xenovia as she took off as well
"Kiba, Xenovia wait, come back" called Rias, but due to their anger neither of them could hear her as Akeno and Koneko arrived
"What happened here?" asked Akeno
"Alot but we have bigger issues" answered Blaze "we need to get back to the school pronto"
"The school, but why" Rias questioned before getting a call from Sona "Sona, yes, what? we'll be right there" Rias said talking into the magic circle
"It seems like Blaze is right, Sona just contacted me and it seems like a large amount of holy power has begun flowing within the school grounds, Sona and her peerage have created a barrier to stop the flow as best they can but they can tell that something very dangerous is going on in there and what our assistence" Rias explained before turning to Blaze "how did you know that they were going to the school?"
"If something supernatural is going to be happening in this town the school is the focal point, it stands to reason that someone was going to target anywhere in Kouh then it would be the school that 2 of the 2 Maou's sisters go to" Blaze explained, coming up with a reason on the spot that wasn't just that she knew exactly what was going to happen
"I agree with Blaze's theory" chimed in Akeno "and if that is the case it would be wise to contact your brother as if they are targeting you and Sona-sama it means that they are either stupid or extremely powerful"
"Although I do not wish to bring my brother into this the fact that this involves at least 4 pieces Excalibur and someone who thinks they are a match for the Maou then it is probably a wise decision" Rias nodded "but that doesn't mean that we won't try to solve this problem without his help, let's go find out who the mastermind behind all of this is, I do not wish to get him involved if it is only a fool who wishes to gain fame by fighting my brother" Rias proclaimed as the group prepared to teleport back to the school to fight against the foe that waited for them there.
