At dawn, they got ready to leave. They all packed a bag and got into a vehicle that was waiting for them downstairs.
There were a total of six people excluding the driver, Bryan. Mark, Nathan, and four others.
"I am Nathanial, former Delta Force," A man with caramel skin said to Nathan and Mark.
"Lieutenant James Thorson, US Army. Happy to be here," A man with buzzcut red hair said and reached out to shake Mark and Nathan.
"Yuri Milankovitch," a man with green eyes, chisel jawline, and pale white skin said with a stern look on his face.
Nathan extended a hand to him but he ignored it.
"I am Marth from the CIA. I studied religious studies at the University of Michigan. My thesis was on the psychology of devil worship," a lean woman in round prescription glasses that bulged her eyes narrated.
She looked no older than twenty and way too chipper to know where they were headed.
"You will be hunting with us?" Mark asked with a squinted eye.
"Yes, but I will play more of a supporting role," Martha explained.
"Supporting?" Nathan asked.
"Yes, like blessing water, offering prayers, and such," Martha added.
'Useless,' Nathan said as he nodded and smiled.
Soon they got to a private airstrip. They all got out carrying a bag. The military men had a rucksack while Mark and Nathan carried duffel bags.
Martha on the other hand had three bags she struggled to carry. A backpack, a duffle, and a handbag.
"We are so going to die," Mark whispered to Nathan, and he chuckled. Yuri turned and stared at them with a frown.
As they walked to a small plane in front of a hangar. Bryan drove away.
"Are you the pilot?" Yuri asked a man standing by the plane.
"Yes, get in we leave in 10," the man said to him.
They got in and ten minutes later they took off. Mark, Nathan, and Martha talked about demons and some inconsistencies of demons in the Bible.
"You think this is a joke, take this seriously. Demons are ruthless," Yuri warned them. In about two hours they landed in New York.
There was a car waiting to take them to Staten Island.
"We will stick out like a sore thumb here," Nathanial said as he looked out the window.
Mark looked at his phone, he tracked the high-level demon with the Providence app. They were taken to a house about a block or two away from the pinned location.
Immediately they got to the house. Nathanial set up surveillance devices on the first floor.
There were boxes flown in ahead of time. In the boxes were guns and surveillance equipment like those that Nathanial set up.
They got to work, monitoring anyone who came and went from the target location. They took turns behind the equipment.
They had an AI software that transcribed all they said in real time no matter the language.
The next morning,
"I think we know the name of our target," James said and handed a tablet to Yuri.
"Amadeus?" Yuri asked.
"Yes, his name is mentioned more than fifty times in less than twenty-four hours," James explained.
