Jane kept staring at Sara and Nathan the whole time. When they got to Jane's house. Mark was waiting for them.
They got out of the car, and Jane waited for Sara to excuse them.
"Bryan, can you take Sara inside to get something to eat?" Jane said when Sara wasn't leaving.
"You didn't have to do that. She knows about the existence of monsters. We just fought a couple of hellhounds," Nathan explained.
"Hellhounds, I don't know if you have the best or worst luck," Mark said and Nathan looked at him with raised eyebrows.
"Never mind that, we got a lead on one of the potential sources," Jane said to Nathan.
"Potential sources, what? I don't have time for that. I'm going to kill Corvus," Nathan barked.
"How do you plan on doing that?" Mark asked and Nathan pulled out the knife from his waistband.
"With this," he said as he showed them the knife.
"I don't think a tactical knife is going to be of any help. Bullets don't even work," Mark mocked.
Jane collected the knife and examined it.
"Where did you get this?" Jane asked.
"From a demon," Nathan explained.
"A demon-killing blade. I have read about it. I had only heard of one and it was destroyed. Of course, there will be more," Jane said in awe.
"It works on hellhounds too," Nathan explained.
"Corvus is a high-level demon, it might not work on him," Jane explained.
Nathan sighed and took back the demon-killing blade.
"It will definitely work on Corvus if it works on the other two Source candidates," Jane suggested.
"I see what you are doing but sure I'll hunt your demon," Nathan said and walked into the house.
Mark and Jane followed him.
"We need to make a plan," Jane mentioned as they entered the house.
"First, what happened to Ora? Or you also don't remember," Jane asked.
"Ora?" Nathan asked.
"Hmm, I don't know how or who wiped your memories but I'll find out," She assured them.
'They might have seen something important,' Jane thought.
"The plan?" Mark mentioned.
"Yes, I'll send a team to scout and monitor the candidate. We will then proceed when there is an opening," Jane explained.
"Sure, where are we going?" Nathan inquired.
"Staten Island," Mark replied.
Mark and Nathan walked away.
"Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything," Jane said as she walked away.
As Mark walked away he saw Sara standing on the balcony above them.
