After carefully reviewing feedback from both readers and beta readers, I raised certain concerns with my editor. Our discussion focused on a particular dynamic I had originally written to underscore the MC's capacity for evil. We concluded that the direction involving a familial relationship was not appropriate to pursue.
As a result, I have revised the character's role from a family member to a nanny. The narrative intent and emotional weight remain intact, now framed within more suitable boundaries.
