'Uhm, wasn't that a little too easy?' Jensen thought.
"It isn't easy and you only get one drop of a common Vampyre Blood Essence." The ancient voice came through.
'He read my mind. How?'
"You stand in my domain and yet you think I cannot do something as basic as reading your mind mortal." The Ancient voice came again irritated.
"I am very sorry for my transgression, my lord." Jensen did not waste time bowing his head.
*Sighhhhhhh*
The ancient voice released a long sigh before explaining.
"The test corresponds directly to your strength you are nothing but a level 1 mortal not to mention your limited worldview and lack of knowledge worked well in your favour."
"I know nothing my Lord and I wish to learn. Please could you explain your wise words to me?"
"Uhmmm, wise words but you don't need to pretend to be courteous to me."
"My lord please forgive me for my insolence." There was no way he would ever disrespect someone that could obviously kill him with a snap.
"…" The ancient entity decided not to bother correcting Jensen anymore.
"I have to say your talent in the mind path is very high, but tell me, how did you truly realise that you were in an illusion?" The ancient entity asked.
"The distance, the path I ran was too long for the size of the mountain I saw." Jensen replied.
"Indeed, one of the simple loopholes I left in the illusion, most people that come here never make it past the illusion and you wouldn't have as well."
"If you had known that space could be stretched infinitely with the use of space laws you would have simply dismissed it as one such situation." The ancient entity continued.
'If the path had descended, I might not have been able to break the illusion.' Jensen thought.
"Yes, a simple loophole." The ancient entity, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!"
At this point Jensen could understand what the ancient entity had done and why he was laughing hysterically.
If any immortals or even a slightly knowledgeable person had come here, they would have simply gone on until they died or reached the end of their life span.
Jensen did not doubt for a second that this entity had more things instore to keep people stuck in the illusion.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA, you are not wrong about that, they would have reached a beautiful waterfall with a hut where a powerful immortal lived." The ancient entity laughed.
"They would get the inheritance left behind by the immortal, leave, go through life, reach all their goals, and just as they reach the end of their lifespan I would release them from illusion and watch as they fell into despair after realizing that everything they achieved was not real."
Chill ran up Jensen's spine and he immediately spun around, 'How do I even know that I am not in an illusion right now?'
*HAHAHAHAHAHA*
The ancient entity laughed even louder, "You don't, now do you wish to continue or leave?"
"Continue."
"Good… Good…Good!!!"
Slowly Jensen surrounding began to slowly transform from the endless white to a massive arena.
First thing he realised was that he felt lighter and far stronger even though he had not made any progress to the next level.
His senses were currently on fire and were so much sharper than it had been a few seconds ago.
His hands felt of, so he looked down at his hands. Elegant claws had somehow appeared on his hand.
He raised up his claws to better inspect it but mistakenly scratched his own hand.
Before his blood could even spill out of his wound, the cut healed at a rate he thought would be impossible.
"What you feel is what the lowest of the Vampyre chaste, Common Vampyre, feels, if you cannot even manage this, you have no right to the Noble chaste."
Jensen closed his eyes and tried to utterly understand the difference between his previous state and now.
He had to say the difference was so much more difference, he could feel that he did not have access to some abilities while others would not be useful for whatever would happening.
"I have read you memories and have no battle experience except killing your father and those idiots you ambushed."
"This is to help you get familiar."
A massive wolf suddenly appeared in front of him snarling.
"Survive."
Immediately the voice dropped, the wolf looming over him snapped at his head, and Jensen managed to grab its snout seconds before it bit him.
Gritting his teeth, yelling in pain as he struggled to keep the thing from biting his face off.
But even as he struggled with the wolf on him, a powerful jaw clamped down onto his legs.
Dagger-like teeth punctured his skin and ripped into his muscle with a ravenous shake.
He heard his own bones snap loudly that they echoed across the arena with a crunch like ice cracking across a frozen lake.
It took a few milliseconds before the pain assaulted him.
The wolf biting down on his legs shook its head violently, treating him like a rag doll, and he was helpless in its jaws.
He could smell his own blood after each savage ripping off of his own legs which sent a fresh spray of blood across the arena floor.
Pain exploded through Jensen's skull as causing him to lose focus.
This basic loss of focus gave the wolves enough time to rip him to shreds.
"Had you focused on your enhanced senses you would have felt the presence of the second and third wolves."
'Wait there were three of them?' Jensen thought as his body began to reconstruct piece by piece.
"Yes." Jensen heard the ancient entity reply to his question.
The pain he was feeling did not allow him to even ask a follow up question.
At this point Jensen could not even tell what was worse, getting ripped to shreds by the wolves or the reconstruction that followed.
"Did you think you regeneration comes without pain?" The ancient entity asked.
Jensen's eyes widened as he came to the realisation, the ancient entity told him to survive not win.
This pain was part of the game.
The next moment he spawned in the arena, the moment he made eye contact with the wolf in front of him, his body shivered.
Since he was focusing a lot more on his surrounding this time, he could feel the presence of the two wolves on either side of him just outside his field of vision.
The more he stared at the wolf the more fear he felt.
'Yeah, fuck this.' Jensen thought as he turned tails and ran, he did not want to get torn to shreds again.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH… That will not work here."
'What, why won't it?' Jensen thought as he kept running, 'Not only am I faster but I am certain that I could keep this up for sever…'
'Oh shit.' The walls around the arena began to close in on him.
He tried to outlast them, but he was eventually cornered and torn apart again.
