Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Silent Scream of Java

Chapter 1: The Silent Scream of Java

"I am Ice. My realization of the world came late, only when I reached the age of eight. I live in the land of Java, a place where tears freeze before they can even escape your eyes. In this frozen wasteland, people's emotions have become as cold as the Javanese winds.

Beyond us stands the Giant Ice Wall—a colossal barrier that no soul has ever breached. Every person who tried became nothing more than a frozen shard of the wall itself, merely adding to its massive size. My father once told me that our world is held together by invisible 'Threads.' These threads bind every molecule, every law, and every atom to prevent existence from unraveling.

Each thread is connected to a specific 'Code.' This code dictates the nature of all things. For instance, the ice has threads that bind its particles, governed by a code that commands it to remain solid, frozen, and biting cold, following every physical law we know. The Ice Wall was no different—until 'They' arrived.

A mysterious organization appeared, one that even my father—a man of vast knowledge—knew nothing about. They call themselves 'The Black Ice Wall.' Their leader possesses a unique, unknown code, hidden in total secrecy. They seized the Wall and modified its very reality. Now, if you even step near it, you instantly become a 'Corrupted Code.' You might ask, 'Why not just jump over it?' But from above, the challenge is even deadlier than from below.

My curiosity and my destiny are tied to that Wall. Every day, I wonder: Is it the edge of the world? Or are we just different, trapped in this prison? My father decided to shoulder the burden of this mystery. He was a 'Code Manipulator,' a scientist who never fully revealed his specialty to me. My mother assisted him in his lab, despite the fact that in our world, women's codes never 'awaken.' I don't know if this is due to tradition, or something else entirely, but my father promised I would learn the scientific reason when I grew older. It seems I will discover that truth sooner than expected.

One day, my father vanished. We learned he had breached the Wall and was being hunted. When he finally returned, he was a different man—distant, silent, isolating himself in his lab. The penalty for breaching the Wall is death. He told me that my mother's ring would be my inheritance, to be taken only upon his passing.

We were setting out on a simple trading journey, or so I thought. But that day became the moment of our final parting, leaving me alone in this world. Now, I carry the weight of an entire family on my shoulders. I must avenge them and restore their honor.

And you are about to see exactly how..."

At the furthest edges of the earth, where an eternal whiteness swallows every trace of life, the land of Java groaned under the weight of a relentless storm. Through this deathly silence, a battered wooden carriage carved its path, pulled by a pack of massive polar wolves whose claws tore into the ice as if they were racing against time itself. At the front, a man and a woman faced the biting winds with hardened features. In the back lay a small boy named Ice. His white hair shimmered under the faint polar light, his eyes watching the swirling snowflakes, blissfully unaware that this world of stillness was about to explode.

Suddenly, the polar silence was shattered by a terrifying crack—"KRRRR-ACK!"—as if the very heart of the earth had broken. The father, Naz, lurched forward, gripping the wolves' reins with white-knuckled intensity. Massive shards of ice began to rain from the sky like frozen meteors. Naz looked up toward the towering mountain peak, and the blood froze in his veins. There, amidst the swirling mist, stood three black shadows—nightmares birthed from the void.

His panic was not of the moment; it was an ancient terror that had returned to haunt him. Suddenly, the "Shadow Fires" ignited—ethereal black flames dancing with purple hues that didn't burn the snow, but rather seemed to suck the light out of the air. With every heartbeat, death drew closer. In the blink of an eye, a shard of ice charged with dark energy shot toward the carriage, moving with a "programmed," precise trajectory.

In that instant, the ancient warrior instincts within Naz's body surged. With a movement that signaled the beginning of a war that never truly ended, he struck the mountain with his bare hands. A wave of golden energy erupted, shaking the very foundations of the earth, causing the upper ledge of the mountain to fracture and collapse, forming a makeshift shield. But the three shadows did not flinch. Instead, they read something in the father's eyes more telling than strength—they read "fear" for his family. They knew the scales of power had tipped in their favor.

They blinked through the shadows, surrounding the carriage in an instant. Naz conjured a shimmering energy shield to protect his wife and child, his voice tearing through the wind: "Go, Kilia! Take Ice and protect your child, now!"

With a breaking heart, Kilia ran toward the shadow of the mountain, tucking Ice into a rocky crevice as she gasped for air. She gave him one last look, clouded with sorrow and a silent farewell. "Stay here, my little one... I will come back for you. I promise."

Ice clutched the edge of her cloak, his voice trembling: "What about my brother?"

Kilia's face froze for a fleeting second. She whispered cryptically, "Don't worry... there is someone taking care of him."

[Scene Transition - Location: Unknown]

Far from the frost of Java, in a warm room draped in mystery, a small infant lay peacefully in his crib. Above him stood a masked man, nothing visible but eyes gleaming with diabolical intelligence and deep-seated malice. He reached out a long hand, stroking the infant's cheek with a terrifying softness. He whispered in a sibilant hiss:

"It seems you possess a unique power, just like your parents... You shall be the jewel that crowns this programmed world."

His wicked smile widened, becoming the last thing the infant saw before the room was plunged into absolute darkness.
