"I already gave you compensation by not kicking you out of this house after your son almost ruined my woman's life," Ray said calmly, yet that sentence carried a trace of ridicule.
As if he was laughing at Beatrice for daring to ask for compensation after everything that went down.
"Well, if you want me to give you my blessing, then give me some money," Peter said. "That crack-addicted bitch has been blowing our monthly money on cocaine. We don't have enough to eat right now."
Honestly, seeing Beatrice and Peter in this condition made me wonder how long they would last until they either died of an overdose or starvation.
It also made me wonder how far Ray would go to plunge them into the depths of hell.
"Then, we don't need your blessing," Ray said. "Claudia and I are asking for it out of tradition, not because we need it. What can you do if you won't give us your blessing anyway? Throw a vodka bottle at us like what you did to me in the past?"
