"Even after you showed all of those scars?" I asked.
I assumed that the child Ray must've shown the scars to his father. After all, back then, I also did the same because I thought that my father was the only one who could protect me.
I showed all my scars and reported the abuse, but he simply told me to be grateful because Maya wanted to take me in rather than putting me up for adoption.
He also told me to endure whatever Clarissa did, because Clarissa was my little sister, and she deserved the best.
Thus, I never told him anything else after that and simply endured the abuse all by myself.
