Could I trust her that she wouldn't hurt Aurora after she kicked my head?
Of course the answer to that question was… no.
No matter how hard I tried to deny it, it was impossible for Clarissa to let Aurora go. Because her aim was to bully and crush me, driving me to the edge of despair.
All she wanted was to ruin my life for the sake of it, because she enjoyed seeing me in pain, and what was the best way to do it other than hurting my own daughter?
It reminded me of that time when she took the Barbie doll that I cherished. The doll itself was nothing special, but I took really good care of it because that was the last toy that my mother bought me before she fell ill and died not long after.
Clarissa told me to eat some bugs in the backyard or else she'd burn the doll.
I followed her demand. I ate lots of bugs until I threw up my lunch, but that wild woman still burned the Barbie doll until only a crumpled piece of burnt plastic remained in front of me.
