There were a few things I needed to do to escape the penthouse without alerting Ray.


This was the first time I intended to do so, of course. But knowing Ray Gatlin and his insanity, he would've put some kind of alarm in place in case I dared to step out of that door.


Thus, I checked Jane's messages to get in touch with the apartment manager. Since Jane told me that she had to contact the building manager yesterday to clean up after Ray's mess, it didn't take long for me to find it.


I couldn't call them, of course. Because I had no way to mimic Jane's squeaky young voice.


Jane: Manager, can you help me disable the CCTV around the main door and in the corridor to the elevator?


And it didn't take long for the building manager to text back. It seemed that Ray held significant power in this building, which wasn't surprising knowing how rich he was.
