Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Last Nail on the Coffin.

"To silence everyone who knew about the herb and incense you gave Grandma, you-" Ye Shin Ye said pausing for effect.

"Also planned to silence your personal maid?!" Ye Shin Ye asked in horror.

"10 points!" Shen Xiatang said and Ye Shin Ye had to stop herself from smiling.

"No." Ye Shin Ah said, shaking her head.

"That wasn't my attention." Ye Shin Ah said with tears streaming down her face.

"Young Miss gave me this incense when the purple herb began to dwindle and when I asked why she would give me something so precious she said it was a gift for attending to her for so long." Chan Hua said slowly as it dawned on her what her young Miss meant with that final statement and Ye Shin Ah sat down in despair.

"It's over, it's all over." Ye Shin Ah said with a delirious smile as her world came tumbling down.

"Anyone there!, Anyone there!" Ye Shin Ye's father said as male servants came forward.

"From this day onward, the Ye family has nothing to do with such a person." Ye Shin Ye's father said, as Ye Shin Ah began to cry and beg.

"Drag her away and make sure she is never allowed back into the Ye family manor." Ye Shin Ye's father said and Ye Shin Ah began to plead and beg.

"Grandmother, grandmother, Ye Shin Ah made a mistake. I was wrong, I was wrong." Ye Shin Ah said as she tugged at the hem of the old madam's clothes but the old madam pushed her away.

"Mother, mother." Ye Shin Ah said as she moved to her mom on her knees.

"Help plead for Ye Shin Ah." Ye Shin Ah said as she held on to her arm.

"Father wants to send Ye Shin Ah away." Ye Shin Ah said but even her mom pushed her away.

"I don't have such an unfilial daughter like you. Get lost!" Ye Shin Ah's mother yelled as she pushed her.

Not giving up, Ye Shin Ah moved to the only person in the room who could plead for her.

"Sister, sister." Ye Shin Ah said as she moved towards her sister on her knees.

"Ye Shin Ah is sorry for everything she has done to sister." Ye Shin Ye said as she grabbed the hem of Ye Shin Ye's clothes.

"Ye Shin Ah will never frame nor bully Ye Shin Ye again." Ye Shin Ah said desperately.

"Please help Ye Shin Ah plead with Father." Ye Shin Ah said with tears streaming down her face.

"It's too late for that." Ye Shin Ah said coldly and the male servants grabbed Ye Shin Ah.

"No!" Ye Shin Ah yelled as she was getting dragged.

"No!" Ye Shin Ah yelled as she begged someone to save her.

Seconds away from the door, the protagonist's star shone above Ye Shin Ah's head and Shen Xiatang immediately became alert.

"What does it want now?" Shen Xiatang asked in anger.

"What does who want?" Ye Shin Ye muttered discretely.

"There is a star that usually shows up above people like her in times like these." Shen Xiatang said as she glared at the star.

"It overturns the truth and muddies logic and it is above her head right now." Shen Xiatang said in anger, thinking that her plan and all her hard work will be for nothing.

As the protagonist star began to glow, Shen Xiatang cursed everything from the star itself, to the bearers of the star to the Gods above who let the bearers act how ever they like without check because she expected the star to ruin all her hard work but what what she didn't expect was for the star to crack and launch itself into her body.

Screaming from the shock of the star infusing itself in her body, Shen Xiatang vibrated like she had been electrocuted."

"What's wrong?" Ye Shin Ye asked in worry, only to be met with screams

"Shen Xiatang." Ye Shin Ye called out discretely.

"Shen Xiatang." Ye Shin Ye tried to call out again but her dad suddenly held her shoulder.

"I am sorry for how we treated you ever since Ye Shin Ah came home." Ye Shin Ye's father said in a sincere tone.

"I know what father and grandmother did is unforgivable but father will try his best to make it up to you." Ye Shin Ye's father promised with a pat on Ye Shin Ye's shoulder.

"I am sorry for the disgraceful display you all have to witness." Ye Shin Ye's father said with his hands in front of his face in a standing bow.

"The Ye family thanks you for joining us for this banquet." Ye Shin Ye's father said and all the guests except the Grand Chancellor bowed in a respectful manner before dispersing.

As the guests cleared out Ye Shin Ye's grandmother couldn't bear to look at her as she passed by her but Ye Shin Ye's focus wasn't on her or her father or anything going on, her attention was on the disappearance of the voice that was on her side when she needed it most.
