The blue portal opened right on top of Allocen's head. As he looked up, he saw the spider head falling on top of him. Allocen, scared, dodged by rolling on the ground. As the creature fell on the ground, she smashed the ground under her, while Allocen breathed heavily, safe.
"You're fast…" whispered Dane. He then moved his hand to point towards Allocen. "But that won't be enough!!" yelled him. The spider head immediately rushed towards Allocen, going really fast.
'I hope he will simply run towards me without opening another portal…' thought Allocen, with still one knee on the ground. With his hand positioned near his feet, he erupted a wall. The spider head smashed her body against the wall, completely destroying it.
As the spider head saw that on the other side Allocen wasn't there anymore, the creature watched around herself, confused. After a few seconds, Allocen emerged from the ground away from the creature, looking directly at the enemy.
'Sending myself underground is always so traumatic,' thought Allocen as Dane took a few steps forward, getting closer to the spider head.
"She wants to eat… don't run away, just accept your fate," said Dane as a portal opened right below the spider head. Allocen, noticing the portal, immediately summoned the golem from the ground in case the spider head would get closer.
At first the creature wasn't arriving. Allocen waited, looking around himself, and the golem did the same. But none of them were able to see the creature around. Allocen looked over the wall of the cave, now he was actually pretty close to it, and as he looked up… he saw the spider head!
The portal was opened on top of the wall, and the creature dug into the ground with her claws and remained there until Allocen noticed her. The creature, right after she was spotted, immediately launched herself towards the human. The golem took a few steps forward and blocked the enemy with his hand.
The spider head, blocked by the hands of the golem, moved her claws right into the golem's hand and started to dig into it. Allocen took a few steps back and created multiple spikes that hit the spider head and pierced into her body.
The creature didn't even flinch; she simply got hit and kept digging into the body of the golem. Allocen's body now started to bleed. 'Guess I have used too much magic…' For Allocen, reaching the stage where his body ended up bleeding meant he had used a lot of magic. His body was feeling a bit tired.
The golem, with great strength, threw the spider head away. Before she bumped against the wall, Dane opened a portal behind her and she disappeared like this. Soon enough the portal was opened on top of the golem's head.
Allocen, now ready, created a third hand on top of the golem's head, one big enough to block the body of the creature. The golem, having a head this big over its body, was losing balance. The spider head tried to free herself.
Allocen breathed a sigh of relief. The creature wasn't able to free herself; she was stuck inside the huge hand, while the golem fell on one knee. But Allocen suddenly heard some footsteps behind him. He didn't even have the time to turn before he saw a knife directly below his neck, behind him, Dane with the weapon.
"I wouldn't do anything that could harm me… the creature will immediately throw herself towards you," whispered Dane into the ear of Allocen, who sweated a bit. The knife was even closer to his throat now.
'The last time Kael hit him, the creature immediately rushed towards him… I might not be able to dodge her if that happens,' thought Allocen, scared. Now he was put in a really bad situation. While all of this happened, the creature was able to free herself and fell on the ground. Allocen, to not make the golem lose balance, removed the hand from its head, but the knife on his throat got even closer and created a cut.
Blood dripped from the cut while the golem and the spider head kept hitting each other. "So?? What do you think you can do??!!" asked Dane as his face got even closer to Allocen.
"I will feed you to the spider head… like everyone else in this city… no, what am I even saying, on this planet," said Dane as he burst into laughter. The knife never left the place next to Allocen's throat.
"What even is your purpose?" asked Allocen as the golem was slowly getting defeated. Allocen waited for the moment the two of them were far enough from him so he could do something, but the spider head always remained closer.
"Well, her purpose is to destroy everything… while for me? As long as she does what she wants, for me it's alright."
"Still, it doesn't matter if I say it to you…" added Dane as the knife entered even deeper into the cut, slowly making it bigger. "You're going to die noww."
"Are you sure?" asked Allocen. Dane looked confused for a moment before he felt a cut on his side. Dane lost balance because of the cut. Allocen was able to free himself, and the spider head immediately turned her head towards someone, who wasn't Allocen… but Alerya!
"Thank you, princess," said Allocen as he put a hand on the cut to block the drip of blood from his throat. Alerya smiled towards him before the spider head rushed at extreme speed towards her.
Alerya had a sword made of her blood in her hands. As the spider head was about to strike one of her claws into the woman, she parried the hit with extreme precision, making the enemy lose balance. Without letting her notice, Alerya rushed forward and cut one of the claws.
The part of the spider head's body fell on the ground. Alerya passed under the body of the creature and created a cut even below. She was now behind the creature, who didn't even flinch. She simply turned around, and as the claw turned into ash, every cut got regenerated.
"It doesn't matter how hard we hit her, she will always regenerate," said Allocen as he walked next to Alerya. As he got closer enough, he rotated himself and leaned his back against Alerya's back.
The princess did the same and pointed her sword towards the creature, with some blood still dripping from her shoulder. "Then let's see, if we destroy every part, she is going to die," said her with a decisive look in her eyes. Allocen nodded in agreement.
"Let's go," said him before the golem was summoned right under the spider head, grabbing her from her belly. Alerya immediately rushed towards the enemy. Allocen modified a part of the golem's body, making it easier for Alerya to go up with the legs.
Alerya rushed and tried to cut the enemy in half before she blocked the attack with one of her claws. Now they were harder. Alerya couldn't destroy that. "Arghhh!!" Alerya put more effort into the attack and she was able to destroy both her claw and create multiple scratches on her head.
She fell on the ground without any problem, putting the sword over her shoulder. Behind her, the spider head was thrown on the ground by Allocen's golem. As her body smashed on the ground, a huge crater was opened. The golem kept hitting her while Allocen opened the ground beneath her, trying to bury her.
A blue portal opened right under her. Soon enough the portal opened above Allocen, who didn't have the time to react and was about to get hit by the spider head.
But Alerya, with almost instant reflex, cut down the body of the creature in half with her sword. The spider head fell on the two sides of Allocen, who got away knowing that in a few seconds the creature would regenerate herself. Alerya, not scared, jumped on top of the creature and pressed a button on her armor.
"Ritual of the Black Roses!" shouted Alerya as blood dripped inside the creature. Roses were created, and as soon as they were formed, they exploded, leaving holes inside the spider head's body. But that didn't matter, the spider head regenerated almost immediately.
Alerya breathed heavily. Allocen walked again next to her, calling back the golem. His vision now turned blurry; he had used a lot of his soul. Suddenly, from behind the creature, Dane came out.
"No matter what you can do… you can't defeat her ahhahaha!" Dane burst into laughter. Allocen then noticed something.
"Strange… you used so many spells but you didn't even consume a slice of your soul… your body is still doing fine," pointed out Allocen. Dane suddenly turned more serious. Alerya watched over Allocen, confused. "What do you mean?"
"The last time we fought him, I noticed that the more hits we gave to the creature, his soul cracked more and more. In fact, he almost bled immediately… but now…" murmured Allocen, trying to figure out how that was possible.
"I can't follow you, Allocen… what are you even saying?" asked Alerya, more confused. Dane didn't change expression. He looked over Allocen in a curious way, wondering what he was about to say.
'I guess it has to be the only option…' thought Allocen, thinking about what Dane told him before. 'He clearly said that he only cared about the purpose of the creature… does that mean—' Allocen's eyes spread wide as he looked over the creature, who spoke for the first time.
Her voice sounded weird. It was like it was glitched. It felt like it was coming from far away, but at the same moment the voice was so close… "L0ks L1k& Yò7 F0#9nDD ?ç= T4°h." The voice was so weird that Alerya barely understood what she was saying. Allocen remained calm, trying to understand what she was saying.
"I'll translate… looks like you found the truth," said Dane as he got even closer to the creature. It looked like his body could enter the one of the creature at any moment.
"Hè'* Jç°uçt * S4-°d V3çç3L," said the creature with her weird voice.
"He's just a stupid vessel," said Dane as he literally entered into the body of the creature. One of his legs was inside her body; the other body parts were still outside.
Dane completely entered into the body of the creature. As he entered, the creature completely changed. The claws were now sixteen, eight below and the other eight above. The creature had two heads: one was the one she usually had, the other was the one of Dane, but it was weird. One of the eyes was bigger, the other was smaller, he didn't have a nose, and his mouth became a single huge mouth merged with the one that was already there.
On the body, more eyes appeared, all of them opening together at the same time. The creature was now a hundred times uglier than before, but her voice seemed to have returned to normal.
"I have eaten his soul… I only needed him to devour this whole place," said her. Allocen finally understood why Dane wasn't using his soul before.
"He already didn't have a soul… the creature only tricked him!" shouted Allocen. The creature smiled warmly.
"Now let's get more serious... you'll be the first, then this city, and then the whole planet." The creature immediately rushed at extreme speed towards the humans.
