Ivan had lost his mind. Daniel did not need to be a mind reader to know this much.
Why else would Ivan decide to lock Daniel up in this room and bind his hands? He had not only taken Daniel's ability to walk around, but had also made sure Daniel had no way to contact anyone.
The most Daniel could do was turn on the TV, but the only thing available to him was cable.
"Ugh, there is nothing to watch on the TV. This doesn't even have any streaming service. Does such a TV even matter?"
Humans were in the era of the internet. It was a time when you could watch anything and everything as long as you had the internet and money. But that was what had been taken away from Daniel.
And yet, he could not bring himself to hate Ivan. The most he felt was a sense of annoyance and disappointment at his own condition.
Speaking of Ivan, the Enigma was nowhere to be seen. But that was to be expected.
