Nivi didn't depart from Tiva. Tiva felt some unknown strength because of her. She wondered whether she could get Spider out there. Then she had a crazy idea.
" What's the plan?" Nivi asked
" Let's dress as humans and act as recoms"
" What? Hell no" Nivi denied right away.
" We won't get killed in that way"
" but where can we find there clothes?"
" It won't be that hard"
" how can you be so sure about it?"
" Because battle is harder" Tiva said reflecting the memory of the fight then. How Neteyam was bruised and scolded by Jake for being failed.
"Dad.Sir. I take full responsibility."
"Yeah, you do. " Jake said. Neytiri wanted to take Neteyam's side.
"That's right.Cause you're the older brother. You gotta act like it."
It happened because of a crazy idea Lo'ak had. Tiva wondered if she would do same as Lo'ak at some point. Nivi wondered what's her desicion. Tiva, finally got up from the rock.
" Nivi, you have to stay here. I will do this first. I can't put both of us in trouble at once".
Before Nivi could even reply Tiva ran towards to the place which she had crazy memories. She remembered about the woman who sacrificed her life to save na'vi. Her clothes were there with the destroyed Helicopter. Tiva wore her clothes without hesitation. She found a awful familiarity in it.
" Nivi, you have to wait. I can't risk both of our lives"
Nivi wanted to protest, but Tiva already went in before she could even speak. Afterwards, she roamed around the forest and got horrified by the sight she saw.
Meanwhile, Neteyam had difficulties to get adapt into Metkayina ways. Along with Lo'ak's reckless behaviour he misses his home. Then his hatred towards Tiva only grew. He wondered what Yomiting would do right now and he is more annoyed at the fact that Eylan is there.
Lo'ak spent more time with Payakan and his siblings joined him. Neteyam kept thinking about the forest. How everything was ruined because of one girl. Besides, Lo'ak only made things harder for him. Choosing Payakan over him as his brother hurt him more than anything though he didn't let it show.
He noticed Eylan was still there despite his orders. This was the culmination. Neteyam wanted to go home. Tuk only cried about it and forgot it anyway. He was tired of being a perfect soldier and goddamn babysitter.
When Eylan came close to him, Neteyam ignored. He knew what was coming from her. He did not want anyone except Yomiting.
"I've told you. I don't like you"
" Why?"
" I don't know. You're just like me. No difference. We are equal in everything".
" So you don't want someone who outsmart you"
"Eylan I didn't mean that. There's something in Yomiting which makes her lovable to me. You don't understand"
" Even if I wait forever, would you still say no? Eylan asked in teary eyes for the first time. She was tired of waiting and doing everything she could to win his heart.
" Yes, I am sorry Eylan"
Eylan clenched her fists. Neteyam didn't even care. He was tired of keeping telling Eylan that he didn't like her. Eylan was heart broken but she did not let it show. Yet, she throws shade on Yomiting.
" Fine. But let me tell you one thing. That day the na'vi girl who rode your Ikran wasn't Yomting. It was someone else. Yomiting was with me all the time"
It made him stiffened. He knew Eylan never lied. He was so proud of Yomiting that day. It was the reason he was determined to marry Yomiting. Hearing Yomiting lied was enough to make him feel betrayed as he thought Yomiting is already a warrior.
" Then who would do that?"
Eylan wasn't there to answer. Neteyam recalled his every moment with Yomiting. It was always a sweet memory with zero fighting. Those days he wondered why mates would fight. Obviously, Yomiting was the prettiest girl in the Ometikaya clan. Eylan couldn't pass her beauty. From the first day of being her friend to lover he thought about her.
Then he felt something wasn't right with that lie. While he was thinking, Lo'ak came back to the shelter being contended.
" Payakan is a good brother"
" Then I am not?"
" I didn't say that"
" You mean it"
" What is wrong with you? He is outcast like me"
" just because father is never saying anything good about you, it makes you an outcast?"
" bro, when will he ever say anything good to me? Your damn girlfriend also see me and Kiri as Na'vi carry demon blood"
" Yomiting isn't like that"
" only in front of you. Just like Anuoung called Kiri a freak, she called us like that there. That's how people see me."
Lo'ak said with sheer rage..
" What? She really did?"
" Yes. You're too perfect not to notice it"
" damn… Why didn't you tell me then?"
" I tried to tell you but that witch was everywhere."
"I will talk to her," Neteyam said, clenching his fists. Lo'ak was surprised to see that. "She can't insult my family"
Then Neteyam sensed something is was wrong. Lo'ak noticed it too. He went close to his elder brother.
" You said Yomiting hates you and Kiri... So it means she hates our dad..."
" yeah, she is." Lo'ak replied trying to make sense.
" It can't be happen. Yomiting isn't like that. It's that bitch.."
" Bro, I am not taking that trash's side either way. But I think Yomiting also joined her."
" Now our dad don't even care about that" Neteyam said in frustration.
" That girl knew we are here. RDA must gonna find us soon"
Lo'ak didn't know what to say. Neteyam was never been vulnerable like this in front of him.
Close to RDA Tiva got into the building. Since many na'vi like humans were there no one suspect her. She was relieved for a while. Tiva looked at the rain forest. She couldn't help but feel pang of something.
When Neytiri broke her song cord, Tiva lost her beautiful necklace in the forest. She thought she would never find it. As she expected, it was nowhere in the forest she searched. There's a chance it might be in the Ometikaya clan. But she was exiled.
She couldn't return there.
Now she got a necklace which carried the memories of her new found family instead.
Far away in the ocean, Eylan saw Neteyam's Ikran coming. She was still frustrated over Neteyam's rejection and kept looking at the ocean. Neteyam did notice that and told her to leave.
" I can't leave".
" Eylan, I've told you. Your grandma must have been worried already"
" She only loved Yomiting"
Neteyam couldn't help but scoff. He thought Eylan was a tough girl then. Yet, now Eylan signs otherwise.
" She loves you. Yomiting was supposed to be the next Tsahik. Why wouldn't she be proud of her?"
" I did everything to make her happy, yet she always found an error"
Neteyam said nothing for a while .The silence stretched, filled only by the tide. Then he snapped back.
" Do you think my father is an exception?"
" I know. You don't understand. I can't move on easily"
" That's why you should go back"
Neteyam said nothing after that. The silence stretched, filled only by the tide.
Then she spoke again, voice harder now.
" Yomiting took my Ikran. How can I leave? She said she will come. But didn't come again".
"What? She has an Ikran"
" She was scared of the sea. But when she came here, she took Spider with her"
" Excuse me. Spider wasn't with us. If he was Lo'ak wouldn't make things harder"
" I saw him with my own eyes. She took him back to the forest"
Neteyam was bewildered and troubled at the same time. If Lo'ak found this out he would go there immediately. Besides, he didn't even see him after Quaritch attacked his siblings.
" Is there a problem?"
" Yes, there is. Someone warned Tulkuns to not to come before Tonowari even could do anything. Now my Ikran keeps going far away for days. And Yomiting took Spider.. All of this doesn't make much sense"
" All of this has happened, because of that bitch. Now she might try to kill Yomiting too"
" You never even noticed?" Neteyam asked.
" If I did, you wouldn't even be here."
" Well… I think Yomiting hides something from us too. Why would she lie about taking my Ikran? My Ikran isn't going to see her as I can guess"
" Since your Ikran is here, why don't we go?"
" I have to take care of my siblings"
" Are you gonna be the babysitter for the rest of your life?"
It made him stiffened. If Lo'ak does something crazy he should be there. Besides, Kiri should be protected. Tuk is only calm when she is with him. His parents were deeply troubled.
" You don't understand because you only have one sibling and she has grown up too."
" Fine…I will do something about it"
" You can't do anything. Lo'ak wouldn't listen to you"
" Why can't he?"
" Because he thinks Yomiting sees him as someone who carries demon blood."
Eylan sighed in guilt because she also saw them in that way. But both of the siblings fell in love with Neteyam instead. She didn't feel guilty. Lo'ak always made things harder even there. Just like Yomiting she hated humans though she respected Jake Sully. Of course she knew Lo'ak would never listen to her.
" Yet, you still love her?"
" She will change her mind when I talked to her"
Eylan's mouth twisted.
"You never noticed?" she asked. "Not once?"
His eyes lifted slowly to hers.
"Noticed what?"
"That she hates humans. Hates your family." Her voice sharpened. "Everyone sees it."
Something inside him stilled
"You think my father deserves that?" he asked quietly.
"She isn't wrong," Eylan said.
The words dropped like a stone. The air changed.Neteyam's posture didn't shift — but the calm around him vanished.
"You speak of things you do not understand," he said.
"Don't I?" she shot back. "How many clans lost people because of him? How many children grew up without parents?"
His hands curled slowly into fists.
"It was not him," he said, voice low. "It was the sky, people."
"He brought them."
The words landed. And for the first time, something sharp flashed in his eyes.
"You have no right," he said, barely above a whisper. "You speak of my father as if you know the weight he carries."
Eylan faltered — but only for a moment.
"If he was not Toruk Makto," she pressed, "would anyone follow him?"
Silence.Heavy. Crushing.
Then Neteyam spoke
"If Toruk chose him," he said softly, "who are you to question that?"
Eylan opened her mouth — and nothing came out. That was when she understood.
She had crossed something that could not be uncrossed. But it was too late.
"You still wonder why I kept my distance," he continued. "Why I would not promise myself to either of you."
Her breath caught.
"You knew?" she whispered
"I know now."
His gaze dropped briefly to the water.
Then back to her.
.
Neteyam closed his eyes for a heartbeat.
When he opened them, something inside him had settled — not healed, but hardened.
"I thought becoming a warrior was difficult," he said quietly. "But I was wrong."
He looked at her one last time.
"I mistook ambition for affection."
The tide rolled in, washing over his feet.
Then he stepped past her.Not angry. Not shouting.Just… finished. And somehow, that hurt more.Behind him, Eylan sank to her knees in the sand, the ocean swallowing the sound of her breathing.
She never saw Neteyam getting furious like that except when Tiva got exiled. It wasn't a good sign at all. He was clenching his fists hard.
" See your silence itself proves that. Yet, you still think why don't I like you. You can't be a good Tsahik if you are gonna read things in surface"
It broke Eylan's last hope. Her pretentious strong demeanour was shattered immediately. In the end he had a point. Eylan couldn't help but cry.
" Be honest with me. If both of you didn't like my family at all. Why did both of you want me?"
Eylan couldn't answer that because she never thought of it. Neteyam didn't want anyone who hates his family deeper than anything. He thought he should have noticed it sooner.
" Grandma wanted one of us to be seen as Tsahik. So we did our best. You fell for Yomiting"
" Is that all?" Neteyam asked without thinking straight.
" I did love you more than that"... Eylan argued being defensive.
" Fine, if I wasn't Toruk Makto's son. Would you still love me?".
The question hung between them like a blade.Eylan's lips trembled. She could not lie.
" no…."
The word broke on the wind.
" At least you're honest. I knew it if I wasn't a warrior, If I wasn't Toruk Makto's son…both of you wouldn't even see me."
After a pause he said. "I mistook ambition for affection."
Anoung saw Neteyam leave before he saw Eylan. The boy's stride was too steady.
Too controlled. That was how warriors walked when something inside them had cracked. He frowned and stepped closer. Then he saw her.Eylan was kneeling in the sand, shoulders shaking silently. Neither dramatic nor loud.
In the RDA Tiva saw Spider is being tortured just to know where the Sully family lives. Spider didn't say a word. Tiva wondered how did she knew their language. Tiva acted as a guard without even knowing how to hold a gun. She wondered how to save him.
Without letting her to think she saw Yomiting walking towards secops. She was pretty as ever. Tiva, didn't let her angry thoughts come out. Yomiting went straight to Spider and slapped his face.
To make things worse, Spider wasn't the only one who was captured. Except Nivi all the other friends she just met also captured.
Yomiting began to talk. She didn't see Tiva. But Tiva was nothing to her at this point. Head Officer lady General Francis Ardmore welcomed Yomiting with warm heart. That hug stiffened her as unknown memory came to her where Ardmore said in RDA meeting.
"Let me tell you how this plays out. You burn those assets and I will kill everyone on the ground....everyone na'vi kids, pregnant women and grandmothers."
Tiva felt numb. Things got way worse before she could even process. She wondered what if Neteyam got to know about the true colours of Yomiting.
" I know where they are. They're in Metkayina... Maybe that fish face can guide us in the path".
Yomiting said looking at Zaxtu. She licked her lips looking at him. Tiva felt disgusted and scared at the same time.
" way more handsome than Neteyam. Already turned me on"
Zaxtu was panicked and shocked. Tiva realised she should save them without getting herself killed. Some RDA men touched Vawmipa inappropriately. Yomiting enjoyed it. Vawmipa begged them to stop but they didn't stop.
. Tiva couldn't react seeing that. With rage she slowly went to control panel. Luckily she was wearing a mask. She destroyed the machines which supplied electricity to that room. That whole room became dark. Tiva quickly removed their ropes and escaped with them.
As everywhere was dark and they ran swiftly they were barely survived. Tiva took them to the safest place she knew in Omatikaya. Just as she was about to catch breath she realised she is exiled.
" they can't come here. I won't let them hurt anyone of you"
" Thanks..." Vawmipa said barely catching her breath. Tiva hugged her.
" You're safe. I will protect you" Tiva announced in a clear determination. Vawmipa was slightly relieved after that.
" They caught us. Without even thinking twice. I don't know how did they do that" Paw'ri said.
" They're monsters" That's what Palun could only say.
Tiva brought food and water to them hoping she wouldn't get caught by the people in her clan. Just then she met Nivi who is horrified as she just came out supplying food for her new found family.
" Tiva, they slaughtered many of our friends. And... They captured our leaders..."
Nivi hugged Tiva and began to cry. After a while with an unknown gut Tiva entered to her clan only to see many of her people were killed and children were crying. As kids heard there foot steps they ran towards Tiva.
" Please.... bring them back.. Sister... Yomiting betrayed us and killed 20 in front of us without mercy.... Sky people captured our parents.... And leaders"
A little girl named Nanti said while sobbing. Tiva never felt like she was freeze before. Now she is there only hope.
Tiva thought Neteyam should be here instead now she has to do it. She thought of seeking help from them. But to them she is the traitor. Besides she didn't even know
how to ride an Ikran.
" I will bring them back safe and sound" Tiva said. Nivi couldn't believe Tiva's talent of pretense. Yet, na'vi kids are too naive to believe Tiva's words.
Far away in Metkayina Neteyam kept reflecting what Eylan said along with Lo'ak's words about Yomiting. He didn't believe a single word that Eylan said about Yomiting. But regarding his brother it was something else. He thought it was Tiva without even knowing her name.
While he was thinking he saw a bad swimmer coming riding Ilu. It was exactly Tiva. Neteyam was furious to see her again. And none was there. Neither Eylan.. Tiva got close to him.
" Please... Let me speak.."
" Why should I? Your charms may fooled Eylan even my brother but not me."
Tiva was mad for the first time. She couldn't help but get tears. It made Neteyam only furious.
" Your crocodile tears can't enlighten me. You almost killed my family"
" I don't even have fighting skills. Just because I was there at night doesn't mean I am a traitor..."
" Deceptive people like you don't need fighting skills to kill everyone."
" Think whatever you want. First I have to show something.."
" I don't fall for your charms. I only love Yomiting"
" your people are in great danger. They need help"
" how can I trust you?"
" Come with me. I can show you"
" never upon my life"
Tiva clenched her fists. She knew this would happen but at least she thought he would listen.
" Fine, what should I do to gain your trust?"
" Confess me since when did you start to betray us"
" I didn't betray. Kill me if you want, I didn't betray"
Neteyam wanted to strangle her right away. But as patient he is he stopped that. Tiva's tears did not change his demeanour.
" I won't kill you. But let's fight"
" I don't know how to fight..."
" You know, stop lying"
Tiva prepared with zero effort. It was a battle Tiva got beaten. Tiva barely fought. She fell to sea not because of the fight but because she haven't eaten well for few days.
Then only Neteyam felt guilt and jumped into the sea and gave CPR for her. Tiva woke up after that.
" You really don't know how to fight" Neteyam said with concern.
" can you trust me at least?"
Neteyam didn't speak. He was terribly conflicted. He can't betray his father and his parents would kill her right away. But now Neteyam wanted to trust her after the fight. His anger was faded.
" Fine, but I will bring Lo'ak "
" Whatever... There's no time"
