After a year when Lo'ak completed his Iknimaya rights after multiple tries, Jake went to guerilla fights with other Na'vi to stop RDA invasions mostly by attacking their supply lines, Eylan and Yomiting joined. Artsut ordered Tiva to inform the clan as always. Without disobeying, Tiva did that.
Then she wanted to try fighting again, She sensed Lo'ak might get in trouble. As expected Lo'ak disobeyed Neteyam and jumped into the battle and obviously Neteyam followed him.
" Maybe I can try it now," Tiva told herself with a false hope that she yearned.
Then she saw planes coming and there was Neteyam's's Ikran close to her. So, she got the blade of a dead Na'vi and rode the Ikran uncomfortably.
" This is a torture" Tina said in a baby voice. It was a cringe yet an honest reaction.
But she jumped into the helicopter and cut the wires, yet she got the humans on Lo'ak's Ikran and landed them on the floor disarming them. Then Neteyam was going to get attacked then Neteyam's Ikran came to her again.
"damn it. You really wanted to see my death" Tiva said while catching her breath.
She did the same thing again. That made RDA kinda defeated. Then Neteyam's Ikran landed her in the forest as she was about to fall anyway. Before anyone saw anything she ran into the forest. Luckily there weren't many noticeable wounds. Of course she promised herself not to get into guerilla fights ever again.
" Why am I stupid?" Tiva asked from herself.
When Yomiting and Eylan gathered with the Sully family. Lo'ak began to rant about what he saw despite Jake blaming both kids a while ago. Neteyam also had to say something about it.
" That Na'vi isn't good at riding Ikran I guess. But anyhow destroyed those helicopters"
" Na'vi girl thought she could ride my Ikran. But saved our lives anyway" Neteyam added. Tiva prayed no one noticed it was her. She was exhausted from that one fight.
" Who is that stupid Na'vi girl?" Jake asked bluntly. Tiva's legs began to shake, luckily no one noticed.
"It was me," Yomiting said, not loudly—almost apologetically.
"I should not have done it. But there was no one else."
Eylan was too surprised knowing Yomiting was with her all the time. Yet, Tiva was glad and relaxed. She was thinking about the nightmare she saw a few days ago which is almost impossible to happen.
" But you ride your Ikran well," Lo'ak protested. He never liked Yomiting. Yomiting always gave him and Kiri an odd eye and always bashed them when Neteyam and elders weren't around.
"Why would you do that?" Neteyam asked.
"Your ikran answered. I only followed."
Except Kiri and Lo'ak, others were proud of her . They didn't like her for some reasons Tiva couldn't comprehend. Yet, She felt something was off when Yomiting always mocked their eyebrows and hands which carry 5 fingers.
Jake was glad that his sons weren't dead and believed in Yomiting. Though Neteyam almost believed Yomiting he could not believe it completely. For the first time he noticed his siblings' discomfort.
Aside from that, Tiva felt like Yomiting saved her from the mess that was about to happen. Tiva kept thinking about the nightmare she saw,
Only moments—mid-breath, mid-fall—like waking inside someone else's memory.
Meanwhile, Neteyam talked to her which made her smitten but Neteyam was completely oblivious about it.
"Hey" Neteyam called her.
"Yes?" Tiva could only say that getting nervous.
" You're Yomiting's assistant right?"
" I am"
" Tell her to meet me at night.".
" I will" Tiva said forgetting her honorifics.
Neteyam found her timid behaviour funny. Tiva passed close enough that the edge of her sleeve grazed his wrist. She never noticed. Neteyam did—not the touch, but the way it lingered after she was gone.
She did not notice Neteyam watching her.She did not remember, in the chaos of the landing, how his hand had caught her wrist—brief, grounding—before she slipped away. But Neteyam remembered he noticed her behaviour is funny and peculiar.. It was just that.
Yet, Tiva sensed her feelings for him needs to be stopped at this point. Again the nightmares resurfaced on her memories out of nowhere.
She remembered what Mo'at said: the mind remembers what the heart is not ready to hold. It isn't a good answer for this constant nightmare.
In the dream, the forest was silent. In waking life, it never was.And yet—something was always taken. She knows something—but never enough to save herself.
Then she saw something many Na'vis shouldn't see. She saw a sky person transform into a Na'vi and he was the one who caused the immeasurable destruction then.
For the Clans safety Jake Sully gives leadership to someone else and leaves with his family thinking the forest will be safe without him. Then she saw the ocean which she loved but dared not to go as she already went there accidentally.
" What the hell is this? Yomiting should see this not me" Tiva muttered in dreams. She pressed her fingers into her palms until the present returned.
And later, as the forest quieted and the night crept in, Tiva wondered why her chest ached most over the one future she prayed would never come true.
Tiva's hands were already sore tying beads when Yomiting stepped into the shade.
She didn't announce herself. She never did. One moment the air was empty; the next, Yomiting's shadow crossed the half-finished cord between Tiva's fingers.
"You're tying that too tight," Yomiting said gently.
Tiva loosened it at once. The fibers sprang back, uneven now.
"I'm sorry," Tiva said. She always said that first. It saved time.
Yomiting smiled, as if the apology pleased her. She crouched beside Tiva and reached for the cord, her movements unhurried, practiced. When she retied it, the knot lay smooth and obedient.
"Better," she said. "You learn quickly. Faster than I did."
Tiva glanced up, startled. Praise was rarer than reprimand. Yomiting's face gave nothing away—open, calm, the way elders liked.
"Mo'at asked for more finished lines by nightfall," Yomiting went on. "I told her you wouldn't mind staying."
Tiva's mouth opened. Closed again.
"I don't mind," she said, because that was true in the way that mattered. Want had never been part of her work.
Yomiting nodded, satisfied. She brushed dust from her hands, then paused, as if remembering something small.
"Oh," she added lightly. "Neteyam won't be joining us for the evening meal."
Tiva's fingers slipped. The cord rasped sharply against her skin.
"He—" Tiva stopped herself. "Is Toruk Makto's son training?"
"Something like that." Yomiting's tone was easy. Almost fond.
She watched Tiva then—not closely, not obviously. Just enough.
Tiva lowered her eyes and resumed tying, slower now. She felt heat rise in her face and hated herself for it. Feelings were loud things. They betrayed you.Yomiting stood.
"You're good at this," she said again, softer. "Knowing where you belong."
Tiva nodded, because she did not know what else to do.As Yomiting walked away, she added, without turning back, "If your hands hurt too much, tell me. I'll speak for you."
The words sounded kind. They always did. Tiva remembered Neteyam's message for Yomiting.
" by the way he told you to meet him at night"
" Oh, he is not gonna wait any longer".
Yomiting made excited an reply and went to his place.
Tiva watched her go, the cord steady between her fingers, the knot perfect. Likewise Tiva kept making beads for warriors. Then there were broken bows that were meant to fix. Tiva had to do fix those. Fixing bows weren't hard like shooting as she was good at it.
Yet, Tiva remembered how Neteyam shot. She couldn't even do that. She didn't know how to move on. Tears melted her face. She was tired of blaming herself. Worst of all, Yomiting was the best fighter at this point.
While finding herbs, she couldn't stop crying. She felt like a failure. She couldn't even connect to her late parents as those connections were mostly done by elders.
Still, her little forest friends cheered her up without even realising her problems. Shimmyly's started flying as they become butterflies. There a one butterfly approached to her.Eventually flying fan lizards roamed around her as always at night. Tetrapteron: A small, four-winged bird-like creature frequently seen in the forest made noises around her.
Yet, Tiva couldn't stop crying. She always felt alone except these animals comforted her. They were her only friends. Though Eylan was her friend she was more duty conscious and she was just an assistant in front of her.
" why everything is like this?" Tiva muttered. When rat beetle came to her hand
Then the nightmare resurfaced as Kali'weya (Scorpion) but her shoulder when she was collecting herbs. The Willow tree was just above her which made it kinda perfect for the moment.
The leaves of the toxin-producing Willow Tree agitated, causing them to curl and release their stingers. This time the vision was much clear.
At first she saw the human boy who was mostly with the Sully family getting tortured by RDA. Worst of all, Tiva saw Neteyam's death in the Ocean. Then she see a cruel Na'vi woman with face covered with Ash tries to kill Tuk. Then that same woman is beheading her. She wondered why she obeyed her. No one was sad about her death. She was like a traitor to everyone. Then the vision was gone. Everywhere it was a war zone
She sensed it was the future that is gonna happen. Worst of all now she has stopped.
