After establishing Su-SHIELD, Aurelius Viremont commanded Agent Hill to use every available resource to track down the generals who had participated in the plan to encircle and suppress him.
Aurelius Viremont was not a magnanimous man. He wasn't the type to let a malicious attack slide without retaliation. The only reason those generals were still breathing was that he hadn't known their exact coordinates. But now, with the vast intelligence network of the former SHIELD at his fingertips, finding them was child's play.
It wasn't long before Agent Hill handed Aurelius Viremont a tablet. The map on the screen was peppered with red markers, each representing the current location of one of those target generals.
Looking at the markers, Aurelius Viremont flashed a brilliant smile. It was time to return the "favor"!
Inside a hidden military base, the general in charge was attending an emergency meeting. This was the military's third high-level conference specifically targeting the "White Demon."
In the past, such summits were reserved for major international conflicts or world-altering events. Never before had the military mobilized so many resources for a single person. But for the White Demon, they had met several times already—a historic first.
More importantly, every "perfect" plan they had devised to eliminate him had failed miserably, unable to leave even a scratch on him. Since World War II, the United States had never experienced such a string of humiliating defeats.
At the meeting, the highest-ranking general turned to Colonel Stryker, the head of the Sentinel Program. "Colonel Stryker, what is the progress on the Sentinel robots?"
Despite being the lowest-ranking officer in the room, Stryker commanded everyone's attention. His Sentinel Program was their only remaining hope. Based on the White Demon's history, a retaliatory strike was inevitable. If they didn't kill him soon—and if he continued to grow—they were all dead men walking.
They had reached a point of absolute non-existence; either the world had the White Demon, or it had them.
Hearing the question, Stryker spoke with confidence. "With the help of Dr. Samuel Sterns and Dr. Ivan Vanko, the Sentinel project has advanced at lightning speed. We are now in the final stage, needing only a field test. These new Sentinels haven't just integrated Mystique's transformation genes to adapt to different mutant powers—they are now powered by Arc Reactors. With that level of energy support, they can vastly amplify any power they replicate!"
He gestured to the screen, which displayed the Mark X Sentinel. While retaining their original silhouette, they now had a glowing core in their chests—an Arc Reactor. Furthermore, the chassis wasn't made of mere metal, but a high-density composite tougher than steel with incredible regenerative properties.
"According to our calculations," Stryker continued, "just ten of these can kill a Level 4 mutant. With a hundred deployed at once, even the White Demon won't be their match!"
The generals finally smiled. The crushing anxiety of their impending death vanished. Surely, such a powerful machine could finally end the nightmare.
Suddenly, a thunderous explosion rocked the base. It was followed immediately by the staccato of gunfire and the screams of dying men.
The general's stomach dropped. Seconds later, a soldier burst into the room, gasping: "General! The White Demon found the base! He's breached the perimeter! You need to evacuate now!"
"What?!" The general turned pale. How did the White Demon find him? Aside from a few top-secret agencies, not even the President knew his current coordinates. Where was the leak?!
His confusion was quickly swallowed by raw terror. Even if the base's current defense was enough to level a small country, he knew it wouldn't stall the White Demon for even a minute. He turned frantically to Stryker.
"Colonel Stryker! How many Sentinels are ready? Send them now! Save me! He's inside the base!"
"What the f**k?!" The other generals on the screen panicked. If the Demon could find Gordon, he could find any of them. None of them were safe.
"Stryker!" they screamed in unison. "Deploy every Sentinel you have! Save General Gordon and kill the White Demon!"
"Yes! Generals, please remain calm," Stryker replied. "We currently have over two hundred units ready for deployment. They can crush him. General Gordon, just hold on for a few minutes; the Sentinels are coming!"
Using Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, Aurelius Viremont streaked through the air, his speed shattering the sound barrier and hitting Mach 20. In just a few minutes, he reached the nearest military base.
The moment he appeared in the airspace, the base's sirens wailed in a piercing, jagged rhythm.
"Warning! Warning! Unknown flying object approaching... No! It's not unknown! It's the White Demon!"
Amidst the screaming alarms, Aurelius Viremont plummeted from a thousand meters like a fallen star, slamming into the heart of the base like a meteor.
BOOM!
An unstoppable shockwave erupted from his landing point, expanding outward with violent force. It leveled every building in the base instantly. Even the heavy tanks were tossed aside like toys by the repulsive force, their crews pulverized inside.
With the surface structures erased and every soldier on the ground dead, Aurelius Viremont didn't leave. Instead, he walked slowly toward a specific corner of the smoking ruins.
The Limitless automatically identified and pushed aside the thick dust and smoke. Amidst the gray, suffocating environment, Aurelius Viremont remained pristine—not a speck of dirt touched his clothes.
He stopped at a precise spot. The energy in his body condensed rapidly, forming a horrific black-red singularity in his hand. Once fully formed, he dropped it straight down.
The repulsive force annihilated everything beneath him. In a heartbeat, a massive circular pit opened in the ground. A hundred meters below, a hidden bunker—shattered by the pressure—was revealed. Inside, Aurelius Viremont saw the first general on his list.
Under the precise control of the Six Eyes, the repulsive force crushed the general's legs into powder, but left his upper body intact. He didn't die immediately; instead, he lay on the floor, writhing and howling in agony.
Aurelius Viremont used gravity to pull the man up to the surface. Ignoring his frantic pleas for mercy, Aurelius Viremont placed a finger against the general's chest, then turned to walk away.
"One."
BOOM!
A massive surge of energy erupted within the general, releasing blinding light and heat that vaporized everything in the immediate vicinity.
A thousand meters up in the sky, Aurelius Viremont glanced back at the rising mushroom cloud. His smile grew more delighted. In the next instant, he broke the sound barrier again, streaking toward his next target.
