Looks like Mayumi took my advice to recruit Tatsuya. Sakura volunteered to strengthen CADs' firewalls, on the grounds of "better safe than sorry". No one argued. They figured although foul play was unlikely from their perspective, everyone figured it wouldn't hurt even if nothing happened.
"So the course one athletes demanded Tatsuya show his skills to let him join?"
"Yes that's exactly what happened."
We were standing in a room with a computer and machine for CAD adjustment with a bunch of course 1 athletes. We, the student council, were here too as was Miyuki. I might've imagined it but I think she mouthed the words thank you.
"Cool and why am I here specifically. I wasn't against it and I'm not an engineer like Ichihara and Nakajou."
"Since you reccomended him. I thought I let him modify your CAD to show her skills."
Oh so she's being petty for some reason.
*sigh*
"Fine but I won't be able to test my magic that is unique to me. No adjustment he makes would really effect that."
"That's fine."
Tatsuya was looking at me deadpanned as ever. Yet for once he didn't seem upset for throwing him under the bus… again.
"Put you CAD on the scanner."
I did as he said. The scanner lit up and Tatsuya got to work typing, copying, and adjusting parameters.
"Do you really need this many Rank B and Rank A spells on your CAD." He asked without stopping his work
People looked worried when he said that.
Oh okay, so he is alittle upset.
"I'm a soldier. Options for situations were I can't just demolish everything around are useful."
I heard some ass hat call Tatsuya caveman for doing it completely manually. That guy is dumb. The only reason the auto assist exist is because this is incredibly difficult. Not to mention completely manual tuning yields better results.
"Fair enough. Done."
I grabbed the general competition model CAD that had my spells copied and adjusted.
"Try it out"
I used an oscilation type spell to lower the speed of water molecules above my hand creating ice. Like Kirihara in the anime described no difference no discomfort.
"It's good feels like I'm using my personal one"
I crushed the ice in my hands.
Some were impressed, the engineers and people who had not met Tatsuya. Some tried to argue like morons, the elitist athletes.
I was about to walk away when Tatsuya gestured for me to meet him later. It was probably about those three spells Sakura made that were in my CAD. They were shockingly simple in concept and effective. I'm pretty sure the world's leading magic research met would slap themselves and beg to be taught by her, after seeing just one of these spells alone. Hell Tatsuya could use one of them. I nodded and walked out. I ran into Tatsuya, Miyuki, Kuro, and Sakura at the school gate. After my daily abuse of- I mean strict training of my monolith code team.
They were chatting together. Sakura had become more sociable, but not less chaotic and spontaneous. She did slightly take others into consideration sometimes before her antics. Honestly Tatsuya was holding back in that skill showcase. Sakura showed him some tips and tricks. Now his programming skill is several levels more absurd. His ability to learn it genuinely suprised her. No one just picks up math to calculate the 5th dimension and just runs with it.
"Alright I'm here. Are we heading to my house to talk, or yours?"
"We will head to yours."
I figured probably wanted to see the code in more detail. He was apparently getting close to replicating the effects of Crack Ice as absurd as that sounds.
"Alright let's go."
We started making our way home.
"So I noticed your not as upset as I thought you'd be."
The one who answered wasn't tatsuya but Miyuki.
"It's because of your recommendation. Because of you I was able to have my brother adjust my CAD for the competition."
Ah, right he handles her adjustments normally. So of course he'd only be mildly annoyed. It's probably just because I used Miyuki convince him as well. Sis-con.
"Oh that makes sense. So what events are you participating in Miyuki?"
Unless something changed I new the answer.
"I'm participating in mirage bat and ice pillars break."
So it's the same well not entirely Kuro replaced Amelia Eimi Akechi Goldie, or as she's normally known Akechi Eimi. Or even just Amy. Hmm thinking about it her family history is similar to Leonhardt's. Only she's part British instead of German. Magician eugenics everyone.
"I guess that means your gonna be going against Kuro in ice pillars break."
"Let's give it all in contest okay Miyuki."
"Of course Kuro"
Tatsuya and I smiled at the interaction. Well more so Miyuki in his case. Besides the point.
Sakura was weirdly quiet. I looked over and saw she was preforming some calculations on her phone. I guess she's really gotten into making spells. Makes sense in a way magic in her world should be in age of man if I rember correctly. Miracles and True magic are basically nonexistent except for Zelretch and the kaleidoscope at this point. So magic that works differently under the same principles of calculation must be fascinating to her.
As I thought that I felt as if a gaze was on me.
Oh come the ever loving fuck on he's watching me too. Probably for entertainment as well. At least he can't physically come here. Easily that is.
"Ryu what's wrong?"
Sakura had looked up from her calculations and was looking at me.
"The master of the second true magic is apparently watching."
Kuro, Miyuki, and Tatsuya were confused by that sentence. Although it didn't show on his face.
Sakura looked alarmed. She technically wasn't supposed to leave the moon cell.
I suddenly revived a email on my phone.
Of course he some how can send me an email. Even though that hasn't been invented yet were he is.
'Continue about your life young one. I know who and what is with you. She's your problem now. Sincerely, Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg the wizard martial'
Huh didn't expect that. I also already know she's my problem now.
"What going on"
"Nothing thing Kuro. Just a magician with the power to gaze across time, space, and dimensions. He is currently watching us because he finds our life funny."
It didn't sound like nothing. It also really wasn't. I just hope he won't interfere somehow. The gods agreement to not interfere for the entertainment value had no sway over him.
"So what did he say?"
Sakura looked up tense. I showed her the email.
"Bwahahaha. He's right though I am your problem now."
"So I take it this magician is someone from your world?"
Tatsuya was equal parts concerned and intrigued.
"Yes, but he shouldn't be a problem if this his message."
I hope not. One does not fuck with a basically immortal wizard and get away with it.
We eventually arrived at the house Kuro, Sakura, and I were living. And went inside.
"Before we talk and go look at computers. Can I interest either of you in some leftover fried chicken."
"You let Kuro order food again didn't you Ryu."
"In my defense I was distracted by the possibility of Sakura making a spell, that could be considered a war crime."
After that we did heat up some left overs and eat before talking.
