CHAPTER – 11
Next morning, John passes by Daniel's room. He sees a bit of blood coming out of his room.
"Huh?? I guess he tortured the sixth whole night and killed him now. Of course he lied to me yesterday. He wouldn't just let the culprits of his sister go easily."
He returns back to his room. Daniel then cleans the blood outside the room and enters John's room. In Daniel's room there is just a corpse which has bleed enough. All nails ripped off. Skin slipped out. Daniel didn't show any mercy.
"Hey! Wake up Syd! Time to train!"
*mumbling*
"I can't hear you."
"Just let me sleep…."
"Hey! John….do something."
John splashes water on Syd's face. She jumps out off the bed.
"John!!! I will kill you!!!"
Daniel with a smile, not the same as last night, tells both of them to get ready. They all get in the backyard of the apartment where John almost died the other day.
"And...why are we here??"
"Well…..John you see…..Im kinda disappointed from you."
"What did I do?"
"You see...when I gave you my stats, I was sure that you'd beat that commander."
Syd intervenes.
"Commander??"
"Those knights are called commanders."
"Ohhh."
Then Daniel looks at john.
"And you couldn't even beat the sixth commander!? He was the weakest."
"Wha-. You've got to be kidding me!"
"What??"
"He was a commander!"
"So?! I gave you MY stats!!!."
"Leave it! What is your point??"
"Well if you knew how to open your veil you would've won with ease!"
"I still don't get your point."
*sigh*
"I will teach you two how to open your own veil."
(Reallyyy!?!? Oh i've been waiting to try the commander's second strongest move!!!)
"Ye-"
Syd intervenes again.
"What is a veil??"
(OMG!!! Well of course its new for her so I can't blame her…)
"Well…..veil is a barrier that catches a person and then uses your special technique continuously until you chose to close it or let your mana run out."
Daniel then with a confident smile.
"Alright then….with that settled. First what are your special techniques??"
"Well I have poison."
"And you Syd??"
"She doesn't have any."
"What!!why??"
Syd smacks John in the face and talks to Daniel.
"Yeah I have a special technique. I have ice magic."
(WHAT?! But how??)
"Im proud of you Syd. But how did you get that??"
"Well I was in dungeon with John and while he was killing goblins. I found a chest. And in there was a magic scroll. I learned how to apply that to myself and now I can perform ice magic."
(No! I got left behind!)
"That's great to hear and its actually better than poison because of its large area coverage!"
(I hate you Daniel!)
"Well, looks like you both have some talent. Lets begin then!"
Daniel describes how a veil works and how much it is effective against a powerful enemy.
"So….watch me!"
Daniel opens his veil.
"This is my veil. You need to use your mana in such a way that it expands outside of your body. Start by making just a barrier. Without using ur techniques."
Without any problem they both create a barrier. Even Daniel is surprised because it took him 2 days just to create a barrier. And their barriers take area of the large room. Daniel's thoughts were onto him.
(Huh!? But how!?)
"Nice! Both of you will now start applying techniques into it."
John attaches poison to his barrier while Syd attaches Ice to her barrier.
"Cool now start your veil!"
As soon as they hear the command, they start their veil and instantly cause a ruckus. They destroyed plants and trees.
"Hey!!! Stop!"
But they don't know how to stop the veil. It keeps destroying the things. After a little while their veil start clashing with each other.
"Your veils are clashing with each other! Stop now or other wise one of you will get trapped in the other's veil and might die!!!"
But Daniel realizes that nothing is happening. Its because their veils are evenly matched at the moment. John is surprised as well.
(I didn't expect to see a veil clash this early on...and with Syd?? What the hell has she been doing behind my back!?)
Naturally they both ran out of mana and collapse. Daniel picks both of them and puts them in their room.
(I can't believe it. They almost mastered the veil in just one day. Their potential is unmeasurable! I don't have any idea what would've happened if they were born in Rimora.)
Daniel leaves their room, enters his room and closes the door. As he turns around he gets shocked because the body that was brutally tortured by him was gone.
(What is this now!? How is this possible??)
He starts looking here and there. Of course no trace. The thing that messed with him the most was that he nullified the sixth commander's mana through the rope which he was tied with. And no one could've found him even with the eagle eye.
(I don't understand!!! Where did I go wrong?? I killed him...…why would anyone take a corpse of the weakest commander!?)
On a table next to him was note with blood marks on it. Daniel opens it and reads it.
