Chapter 57 - Ch 57- Hypocrisy

Within the Skull Bay fleet, the surviving guards saw Alvin finally stop his attack. The nerves they had been clinging to snapped instantly.

They no longer cared about protecting the warships. Their eyes were filled with terror. Like a flock of startled birds, they leaped into the turbulent sea one after another.

In their minds, jumping into the ocean offered a greater chance of survival.

Alvin's gaze was sharp as a blade as he locked onto the warship that had broken through the sea fog and was approaching with overwhelming momentum.

With a single thought, he instantly stored the Demon Blade Chronicle inside his system storage space.

Immediately afterward, a jet ski appeared in his hand and shot outward like a cannonball, smashing heavily toward the surface of the sea.

Just before the jet ski touched the water, Alvin's figure flickered like a phantom. He landed steadily on the vehicle.

His hand twisted the throttle without hesitation.

In an instant, the jet ski let out a deep mechanical roar like a beast that had just awakened.

The moment the hull touched the seawater, the jet ski shot forward like an arrow released from a bowstring. It sped toward the Marine warship at astonishing speed, leaving a long trail of white spray behind it.

"Fire!"

"Open fire with everything!"

"Kill Red Hawk Alvin, that bloodthirsty lunatic!"

On the warship, Viktor did not even need to give orders. The Marine officers were already shouting themselves hoarse as they commanded the soldiers.

In the next moment, countless cannonballs blasted into the sky like a violent storm.

Bullets tore through the air like streaks of silver light.

The howling of cannon fire and the shriek of bullets intertwined together, forming a battlefield symphony filled with the scent of death across the sea.

Alvin's expression remained calm and cold.

His eyes revealed only determination and absolute fearlessness.

He controlled the jet ski steadily. With the assistance of his powerful Observation Haki, every incoming cannonball and bullet seemed to slow down within his perception.

To him, they posed no real threat.

He swerved left and right with incredible agility.

The jet ski weaved effortlessly through the barrage of gunfire like a swift seabird dancing above the waves.

When he closed to within one hundred meters of the warship, Alvin's lips curled into a cold smile.

Just as he had done when dealing with Sabrino, he suddenly pulled up the front of the jet ski.

In the next moment, the jet ski shot upward into the sky like a flying shark, launching directly toward the Marine warship.

However, Viktor was not a weak opponent like Sabrino who could be defeated in a single strike.

Standing firmly on the deck, Viktor watched the jet ski flying toward him without the slightest panic.

Instead, excitement burned within his eyes.

He bent his knees slightly, his entire body tensing like a drawn bowstring.

"Armament!" Viktor roared in a deep voice.

His voice echoed across the sea like a heavy bell.

In the next second, both of his hands were instantly covered in dense Armament Haki.

The Haki clung to his arms like solidified black flames, flickering with terrifying power.

Immediately afterward, he leaped upward like a cannonball.

With unstoppable force, his Haki coated fists crashed down toward Alvin's jet ski like a pair of iron warhammers.

Seeing this, Alvin's eyes narrowed slightly.

In a single instant, he stored the jet ski back into his spatial storage.

The moment the jet ski disappeared, the Demon Blade Chronicle reappeared in his hand.

The crimson blade emitted a chilling aura that seemed both eerie and dangerous, as though whispering of its infamous reputation.

Alvin's expression remained completely indifferent.

The life and death struggle unfolding around him seemed to have nothing to do with him at all.

He gripped the Demon Blade Chronicle firmly with both hands. The blade flashed with cold light.

Then he swung it downward with all his strength.

"Clang!"

"Pfft!"

The blade of the Demon Blade Chronicle collided fiercely with Viktor's Haki coated fist.

For an instant, it sounded like metal grinding violently against metal.

The sharpness of the Demon Blade Chronicle was beyond imagination.

Even against such powerful Armament Haki, it still broke through Viktor's defense.

The blade cut three fen deep into his flesh.

Blood burst from Viktor's fist and dripped into the ocean below, quickly swallowed by the restless waves.

Despite the injury, Viktor's expression only grew more manic.

The excitement burning in his eyes intensified.

Ignoring the pain completely, he raised his left fist high, preparing to smash it toward Alvin.

But Alvin was faster.

"Get down!" Alvin roared.

His voice thundered across the sea.

Seizing the fleeting opening, Alvin raised his left leg high into the air.

His leg was coated in dense Armament Haki.

With immense force, it came crashing down toward Viktor like a falling steel pillar.

Viktor reacted instantly.

His left arm shot upward, covered in Armament Haki as he attempted to block.

"Clang!"

The collision of their Haki exploded with a deafening sound.

Even though Viktor resisted with everything he had, Alvin's overwhelming downward strike still smashed him toward the deck.

Like a kite with a snapped string, Viktor crashed heavily onto the warship.

Using the momentum of his descent, Alvin followed like a bolt of black lightning.

Gripping the Demon Blade Chronicle tightly with both hands, he unleashed a devastating downward slash aimed directly at Viktor below.

The crimson blade reflected the sunlight with a cold and deadly glow.

It looked like the scythe of the Grim Reaper descending from hell.

Viktor's expression changed drastically.

At the final moment, he erupted with astonishing reflexes.

His body rolled across the deck like a nimble leopard, narrowly avoiding Alvin's fatal strike.

"Pfft!"

The Demon Blade Chronicle slammed into the warship deck.

The sturdy deck split open instantly as if it were soft tofu.

A massive gash several meters long tore across the wood.

Splinters exploded into the air as the entire warship trembled violently, as though it might collapse under the terrifying power of the attack.

"Attack!"

"Kill Red Hawk!"

"Avenge the World Government officials who died at Iceberg Bay and the innocent civilians of the Dareleka Islands!"

"For justice!"

"Kill him!"

"Charge!"

The moment Alvin landed firmly on the deck, the surrounding Marines erupted with renewed fighting spirit.

Their roars shook the air as they rushed forward like a surging tide.

Their eyes burned with murderous determination.

Not a trace of fear remained on their faces.

Each of them seemed to have been filled with a frenzied strength.

In their hearts, only one belief remained.

Red Hawk Alvin had to be eliminated.

Alvin looked coldly at the Marines charging toward him.

His gaze was like something emerging from the depths of the underworld, icy and filled with killing intent.

A sinister smile slowly appeared at the corner of his mouth.

It looked like the sneer of a demon.

"Your World Government's hypocrisy is truly disgusting!"

"Red Shadow · Thousand Feathers!"

Alvin spoke in a deep and steady voice that seemed to rise from endless darkness.

The moment the words fell, his body transformed into a blur of afterimages.

He moved through the Marine ranks at lightning speed.

The Demon Blade Chronicle in his hand moved like a living demon.

Crimson blade lights burst forth again and again.

Those streaks of crimson light resembled feathers drifting through the air.

They appeared gentle and almost harmless.

But hidden within them was deadly killing intent.

Each blade of crimson light that passed through the crowd was like the quiet swing of the Grim Reaper's scythe.

As the crimson lights swept through the Marines, screams of agony instantly erupted across the entire warship deck.

"Ah!"

"He is a demon! A demon from hell!"

"Wuwuwu... We cannot fight him at all!"

"It is too terrifying! Red Hawk Alvin is the most vicious criminal in West Blue!"

"Help! Someone save me!"

"Ah!"

The miserable screams echoed endlessly across the sea.

Their voices were filled with terror, despair, and unbearable pain.

Blood sprayed from the bodies of the Marines like fountains, dyeing the deck a shocking shade of red.

On this warship, a living scene of human purgatory slowly unfolded.
