Not far from the battlefield, hidden within thick sea fog, a massive Marine warship lay quietly on the water like a silent sea beast waiting for prey.
Marine Rear Admiral Viktor stood at the bridge observation window. His fingertips slowly rubbed the metal frame of his binoculars.
Through the lenses he watched the battlefield where towering columns of seawater erupted again and again from exploding cannon fire, blooming across the sea like violent fireworks.
A bloodthirsty grin slowly spread across his lips.
"Report! Red Hawk Alvin has broken through Skull Bay's defensive line and has already boarded Sabrino's flagship!" the messenger reported nervously, his voice trembling.
Viktor licked his dry, cracked lips. The long scar that ran across his left eye twitched slightly.
It was a reminder from one year ago when he had pursued the pirate known as Bloody Hand Rogers.
During that battle, Viktor had deliberately used a merchant ship filled with civilians as bait in order to gain the opportunity to bombard the pirate vessel.
"Order the sniper unit to prepare Seastone net bullets."
Viktor adjusted the angle of his binoculars and watched Alvin's speedboat smash violently into the deck of Sabrino's flagship.
"When the two of them are both heavily injured..."
The adjutant standing beside him gripped the hilt of his saber tightly.
"Yes! Rear Admiral Viktor! But Rear Admiral, Sabrino has already become the King of Skull Bay..."
"Do you think I do not know that?"
Viktor suddenly grabbed the adjutant by the throat and slammed him against the cold glass of the observation window.
"What I want is a World Government headline."
"Marine Rear Admiral Viktor annihilates the West Blue Twin Evils!"
The adjutant stared at the nearly crazed Viktor with terror in his eyes. His entire body trembled uncontrollably.
The Marines nearby lowered their heads in silence. None of them dared to move.

On Sabrino's flagship.
The instant Alvin stored his speedboat inside his system storage space, a long blade nearly two meters in length appeared in his hand.
The blade gleamed coldly under the sunlight.
It was the Demon Blade Chronicle.
The guards surrounding him immediately froze in terror.
Their eyes widened, their legs trembling uncontrollably as they instinctively retreated again and again.
In their eyes, Alvin looked like a demon that had crawled out of hell. Getting even a step closer felt like falling into an endless abyss.
Sabrino's boots sank into the shattered wooden deck as he staggered backward. Every step crushed broken boards and sent splinters flying.
His face was pale with fear.
The jeweled flintlock pistol in his hand fired wildly, sparks flashing from the muzzle as he shouted hoarsely.
"Ah ah ah ah! Die! Red Hawk Alvin!!!"
Specially crafted Seastone bullets exploded around Alvin, sparks and fragments flying everywhere.
But Alvin's figure moved like a ghost across the deck.
The bullets could not even touch the edge of his clothes.
Alvin closed the distance in an instant like a bolt of lightning.
Sabrino's pupils shrank violently, nearly bursting from fear.
Chronicle emitted a chilling aura.
Every crimson ripple along the blade felt like a heavy drumbeat striking Sabrino's nerves.
"Do you know?" Alvin's voice drifted calmly through the wind as his figure moved left and right.
The scabbard of Chronicle tapped lightly against his waist, producing a clear sound that felt like a death knell in the tense silence.
"A year ago, when I used a sniper rifle to blow up Duke of Bones's five warships..."
Before the sentence even finished, a flash of blade light cut through the air.
The strike was so fast that no one could react.
Sabrino's golden shoulder guard split cleanly in half.
Blood erupted like a fountain.
His entire right arm, still holding the flintlock pistol, fell heavily onto the shattered deck with a dull thud.
"Ugh ah!!!"
Sabrino's scream pierced the sky, filled with pain and despair.
Alvin did not pause for even a moment.
He stepped forward instantly, closing the distance like a hunting leopard.
After being stained with blood, Chronicle seemed to awaken like a hungry beast.
The blade completely returned to its original crimson color.
Drops of blood along the blade reflected the sunlight with an eerie glow.
Sabrino stumbled backward in panic.
In desperation he grabbed a nearby guard and dragged him in front of his body as a shield.
The guard barely had time to scream.
Chronicle's blade descended.
A miserable cry echoed across the deck as flesh was torn apart. The guard's body was instantly cut into two pieces. Blood and internal organs splattered across the wooden boards.
"...I never planned to spare Skull Bay. Skull Bay was always doomed by my hands."
Alvin flicked the blood from his blade.
The crimson patterns along Chronicle glowed like molten lava, radiating endless killing intent.
"You... I..."
Sabrino stared at Alvin in disbelief.
His eyes were filled with terror.
His remaining left hand trembled as he tried to reach toward his waist.
But his body refused to respond.
Only then did his fading consciousness finally notice the clean cut across his waist and the blood pouring out.
Just like the guard.
He too had already been cut in half by Alvin.
At last, Sabrino collapsed.
His body separated into two pieces that fell heavily onto the deck.
His eyes remained wide open, filled with unwillingness and terror.

"Run!"
"King Sabrino was killed by Red Hawk!"
"H help!"
"Start the ship! Escape!"
The moment Sabrino was split in half, the entire fleet of seven warships descended into chaos.
Pirates screamed in panic.
Some ran blindly across the deck clutching their heads.
Others rushed toward the control room in desperation, hoping to start the ships and flee this nightmare.
"You dare challenge me with strength like this?"
Alvin's body radiated a terrifying killing aura.
Holding Chronicle, he rushed into the crowd like a god of slaughter.
Screams echoed endlessly.
The sound of blades cutting through flesh rang out again and again.
Blood spread across the deck, forming small streams that flowed over the sides of the ship and into the sea.
The other warships attempted to flee.
But their large, heavy hulls only made them slower in their panic.
Escape was impossible.
Alvin moved freely among them.
After clearing one ship, he leaped effortlessly onto the next.
Wherever he passed, only slaughter remained.

...
"Attack!"
From deep within the thick sea fog, Rear Admiral Viktor's excited and nearly crazed roar suddenly echoed across the ocean.
The voice pierced through layers of mist.
It carried greedy impatience and violent ambition.
Like a starving wolf discovering prey.
In the next moment.
Hundreds of Marine snipers raised their rifles simultaneously.
Their dark muzzles pointed directly at Alvin.
Gunfire erupted.
The sound of triggers being pulled echoed continuously as countless bullets shot through the air like a swarm of deadly hornets.
Moments later.
Huge Seastone nets launched into the air from multiple directions, whistling as they descended toward Alvin.
The heavy nets spread across the sky above him.
From every angle.
They looked like the tentacles of a giant sea monster rising from the depths, completely blocking the sky.
At first glance, Alvin appeared trapped.
Gunfire surrounded him.
Seastone nets closed in from above.
It seemed impossible for him to escape.
"Hmph."
A cold and contemptuous snort escaped Alvin's mouth.
He stopped swinging his blade and slowly raised his head toward the direction of the Marine warships.
A terrifying killing intent radiated from his entire body.
"I originally planned to deal with these Skull Bay trash first and then take care of you."
"But it seems I will have to deal with you ahead of schedule."
Alvin's voice was low and hoarse, filled with murderous intent.
"Chronicle: Sky Split!"
Alvin let out a deep shout.
He swung Chronicle with all his strength and speed.
A crimson arc flashed across the sky.
The slash tore upward.
"Screech!"
A piercing sound ripped through the air as if the sky itself had been torn open.
The Seastone net descending above Alvin was instantly cut apart.
A narrow gap appeared where the blade strike had passed.
The cut threads of the net trembled slightly in the air.
As if they were still shaking from the terrifying force of the attack.
"This attack did not work, but it proves he knows who I am. Move the warships closer!"
Watching through his binoculars as the Seastone net failed to trap Alvin, Viktor immediately roared in frustration.
