Anirudh paused after hearing the name 'Devil'.
"The devil won't be able to reach this realm. He is not that strong. Tell who you really are… Show up yourself." Anirudh asked with a serious look while his eyes scanned the surroundings.
Just then a pure snow-white nine-tailed fox appeared before Anirudh's eyes. Its eyes were fiery gold in contrast to its soft, lush feathers. Anirudh continued to stare into its eyes with a look of wonder and waryness.
"What you said is true, young master. The devil can't reach this realm. That's why he sent me to assist you. I have been waiting for your arrival since last month. While many humans hunt for pets, I hid myself well for you." The nine-tailed fox spoke in a bewitching tone.
Anirudh felt like his heart fluttered while listening to its voice. But his vigilance made him stay in reality. The fox was also surprised to see Anirudh in the same serious state even after encountering her lullaby talk.
"Are you working for me or the Devil?" Anirudh asked directly without beating around the bush.
"Of course for you, young master. I'm just a fox with lowly cultivation. I need your help to grow in this realm and evolve into a spirit beast. And, you also need my help to become an Asura King and take revenge on your enemies." The white fox replied in a sweet tone.
"Seems like you know more than enough about me!" Anirudh commented while examining the fox from front to back.
"Hehehe… Don't flatter me, master. I only know that you want to take revenge on the gods who tortured you in hell for decades. You better not waste time with more questions. Time is very precious in this magical realm." The fox spoke with a curt smile.
Anirudh was silent for a long time as he thought about the little fox. He is still wondering whether to trust the fox or not. Even though he is working for the Devil, Anirudh never thought of becoming a slave to the Devil. That's why he is very much cautious about this fox which is going to stay beside him all the time.
"Tell me, what should we do now?" Anirudh asked in a stern tone.
"Hahaha… That's more like it. Don't worry, Master; I already cleared a great path for you. You don't need to worry about missing one month." Fox said excitedly.
"Enough with your nonsense." Anirudh grunted.
"This game is very simple, master. All the players were sorted into 4 temples. You are in the War God temple, the powerful one among the four. Our aim is to join the temple to do all good deeds to earn karma points. The karma points are like a currency in your world.
Your first task is to become a prime disciple of the temple and help the devil to get inner sanctum scripture. The scripture will help to set up a DEVIL PALACE in this magical world." The nine-tailed fox explained in a sweet tone.
Before the nine-tailed fox finished, Anirudh already began walking towards the war god temple.
"Master, wait. You still need to finish the important task." The fox shouted from the back.
Anirudh paused and turned towards the fox with a questioning look.
"You still didn't accept me as a pet. Put a drop of blood in between my eyes. Then only we can bind our fate with a soul fragment." The nine-tailed fox said excitedly while approaching Anirudh.
Without thinking much, Anirudh plucked its sharp, feathery hair and punctured his forefinger. Slowly, a blood drop fell in between the eyes of the 7-tailed fox.

The spirit fox was jumping in joy while looking at the sky. "Master, give me a good name. Heheh…"
"FOX…" Anirudh spoke with a stoic face and walked straight towards the war god's temple.
"No… Master, please... At least give me a human name." Before the fox shouted, the three letter FOX appeared on the player tab of Anirudh.
The fox grunted angrily and rushed to catch up with fast pacing Anirudh. "I will definitely take my revenge."
