Ragnar's POV
A small, hopeful smile played on my lips as I carried the tray of freshly prepared food down the hallway. I stopped right outside Boca's door, taking a quick breath to steady the sudden, nervous fluttering in my chest before I knocked.
"Come in," Boca's voice grunted from inside.
I pushed the door open and stepped into the room, holding the tray out slightly. The moment Boca looked up and saw me, his eyebrows knitted together in immediate suspicion. "Why are you here, Ragnar?"
My smile widened just a fraction, my tone completely genuine. "I brought you some dinner."
Boca stared at the food, then back up at me, looking entirely perplexed. "Why would you do that?"
"I just wanted to thank you properly for saving my life earlier," I explained softly, setting the tray down on his nightstand. "Honestly, Boca... if it wasn't for you, I would probably be completely dead by now."
